  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone continues to go off and not answering the calls.

My Blackberry is about 4 months old and has not been the best phone I have ever had, but does the job or did until this morning and for some reason any when I left the handset of the phone turns off. I am unable to answer the phone when it rings if I left the handset? The torch screen only works, but not as it should be very slow. Does anyone have an idea? Please, I beg you!

It's a good solution, but I would say a battery pull prior to an update of the OS.  With your phone, remove the battery, then replace.

Let us know if that helps you.

  • C309a continues to go off - and online over and over again

I have a new C309A configured to print wireless.  All installed correctly during the installation and all network tests are successful. It worked for a few days, but now I can't print because the printer seems to constantly switch in mode offline, then on new (I can actually watch change status over and over again if the Printers folder...).  If I managed to catch him when the printer is online I can print, so I know that my computer will speak with the printer.  And I have another computer that prints fine wireless.

I tried a technical support by chat and phone - big waste of time because, obviously, they have no technical knowledge and are just reading from scripts.

Contact support told me that there is a group of hotfixes, but it was for another model (4580 I think).  He said that it would work on the C309A as well.  HOWEVER when I downloaded it of course would not install because I don't have this printer.  I tried all product for 4580 matches (he said he chose the wrong the first time so I tried again and again.)  Whenever there was just picking the wrong apparently.  Or if he had no idea what he was talking about?) and none of them would work.  There is no fixpacks for the C309A.

I saw in other threads that this could be a firewall issue, but I'm not sure.  I tried to disable mine and still had the issue.

I am running windows XP Professional.  my firewall is symantec.  and my printer is currently a very heavy and expensive paperweight.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I saw exactly the same thing.  In my case, I had a laptop that is connected to the network through these two interfaces of wired and wireless.  When I turned off the radio, the problem corrected itself in 30 seconds approximately.

  • Qosmio X 505-870-can't turn off and nothing on the monitor

I wasn't doing anything particularly interesting when my computer just turns off randomly. I pressed the power button to turn it back on, I can hear the fan and things of the machine but nothing appears on the monitor. I pressed on and maintained the power button to turn it off and try again, it does not turn off. He is stuck with the computer on but a blank screen.

Don't know what to do, I can't turn off, and he's not doing anything.
Could try to put the recovery disks to see if it's nothing, but I'm worried about the files I have saved on the desktop (stupidly)

    Hi colhyena,

I agree with Akuma. The same instructions posted by Akuma I found here:
[What steps must be followed if your Toshiba laptop does not start? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=21]

So that s what you can do and if it s does not you need professional help of an authorized service provider.

Qosmio X 505 is newer model laptop so probably yours is still under warranty. In this case, the repair is free and you don t have to pay anything. :)

  • Whenever I have turn off my monitor, and then turn it back on, all my desktop icons are completely reorganized.

This issue just started.  Whenever I have turn off my monitor and then turn it back on, all my desktop icons are completely reorganized.  This happens when my system goes into power saving mode, or whenever I have turn off the monitor.  Even if I turn it back on just 5 seconds later, all of my icons are not where they were previously.  Help!

    Suggestions:

    1 a simple way:
. Right click on desktop > view > uncheck Auto arrange > check snap to grid.

    2. in a more elaborate way and actually a better way. I use this method I have over 150 shortcuts etc on my desk. I can't afford to have shortcuts/icons, rearranging themselves. I won't be able to find anything, if they do.
    Here is the tutorial:
    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/save-and-restore-desktop-icon-layout-in-Windows-Vista/

Note: The method is not perfect, you can, after a while, have one or 2 icons on the spot. But it's easy to fix.

  • Pavilion g6 turned off and will not turn back on

My g6 kept turning off unexpectedly, and now it will not even turn around.  Help, please.

The fire being orange means that the computer is "charge" of the battery.  If it is always orange and never goes back to white then there is something wrong with the battery because it is not that it is fully charged and the continuous computer to keep it loads or not related that she stopped.  This could be a battery problem or a problem with the computer loading mechanism.  It's probably more with the battery what either.  If you can get the computer to boot with the battery and you can get the HP utility Center to open, you can have it run a test on the battery and give you information about your battery.

My Satellite A60 laptop just turned off and will not go there is nothing no sound no lights nothing.it ran on sector when it happened.

    any help apreciated

    Hello, Heidi

Remove the battery, connect your laptop adapter only and try starting your laptop running. When the laptop boot and OS is fully loaded, wait a few minutes and reinsert the battery.

If everything is OK look carefully if the battery will be charged correctly and when battery LED is green (fully charged battery) try to turn off your laptop as usual. Turn it back on and carefully monitor what is happening exactly.

  • Qosmio G35 display shuts off and won't turn back on

After sitting for some time an hour or more generally the screen shuts off and no button can't seem to get the monitor to turn back.

The Qosmio G35 still works and every once in a while, the screen turns on, but I don't know why.

Have you tried to update the display driver and BIOS?

I read about a similar question in this forum and especially a BIOS update and update the graphics driver helps solve this problem.

    Good luck

  • T420 screen turns off and turn it back on when the AC adapter / CC is attached or removed

You are working on your machine, staring at the screen and the power failure... Yes - something quite common in these parts of the world... but no worries, the screen darkens slightly according to the diet plan and you hardly notice. Then, when the backup generator kicks in and the power is activated again, the brightness of the screen is back to your usual setting. Meanwhile, it is not a gene. Right?

Well, that's what should happen... except that most of the time it doesn't work! Most of the time, the screen turns off and then turns on remove the main power and reinstall it. Note that this never happened once with T61 or T41p.

Initially, I assumed it was because I had an external monitor attached... maybe it was to reconfigure something there? But then, it happens even without the external monitor. Then, I tried looking for the video driver updates... maybe this bug had been fixed to the... no luck there.

So, finally, after having known this more often now, I thought I would get feedback from you all. Any advice?

Check the Intel Media profile with the power settings. If a battery is "Maximum economy" mode then it should be in Exchange for 50 Hz to 60 Hz... Change it to balance or maximum Performance and see if its ever-changing from 50 Hz to 60 Hz...

If all else fails, try updating the video driver, it might be a bug in the previous version of the driver.
