Monitor not extinct

It was working OK, then I noticed today that he had not turned off since last night.  In addition to the setting to turn off the monitor after 10 minutes, I put blank screen after 11 minutes, where the monitor does not turn off for some reason any the econ.  That no longer works.

I went to power and rule Options turn off in 15 minutes, then I put it in 10 minutes.  After that, it started working again.

Perhaps just another of the endless glitches that occur from time to time.  But it would be interesting to know if anyone has had this happen.

Thanks for the reply.

This has nothing to do with sleep.

In Power Options, I have 'Disable the display' game in 10 minutes.  Usually, it works fine.  In this one case alone, he didn't turn off the display.

I also have a screensaver set to 'White' after 11 minutes.  That no longer works.

I went in the Power Options and set "Turn off the display" in 15 minutes.  Then I reset to 10 minutes.  I did it just to see if she could solve the problem, and he did.

As I mentioned before, this problem was probably just a glitch.  I was just curious to see if anyone else had seen him.

I looked at the references that you gave.  If it happens again, I'll try the troubleshooter of power and resolution of performance issues.

I think this post should be marked as the answer to the original question.  A person with the power to do should do, since I can't score myself, because it's my own question.

  • Satellite Pro6100 - external monitor not showing movies

I searched but couldn't find anything related. I wanted to watch a movie through the external monitor port connected to a projector. I could see all the big screen except the movie itself.
I checked the laptop screen and the film on this subject but it is not cloned - I just get the border of media player and the buttons but it shows only a black screen, not the film.

I tried a friend's Tecra 9000 and it shows the film perfectly. What gives?
Updated the BIOS and I have the latest drivers Toshiba provided and followed all the guides for TV out, monitor, cloning, setting resolution etc, just have not found the magic combination.

    > I checked the laptop screen and the film on this subject but it is not cloned - I just get the border of media player and the buttons but it shows only a black screen, not the film.
The settings collection can be all problems as suggested by Akuma.
In addition it is very important that you switch the display on external monitor first before you start the movie!

  • Satellite M30-S309 - certain proportions on external monitor not right

    Hello world.

I have a Satellite M30-S309 that I just started to use it with an external monitor: a 191EW9 of Philips, which has a maximum resolution of 1368 x 768. The built-in monitor is 16 "; the new external monitor is 18.5 ".
The computer has the driver for the new monitor, but with a few photos of the proportions are obviously not right.

Anyone know of any way to solve this problem? Or it's an old computer like this all simply not up to handle this type of monitor?

A solution would be much appreciated.

    Hello

Can you please explain what you mean with certain proportions are not suitable?
You can choose the native screen resolution of the external display or use another resolution of the screen?

To me that sounds like this, you use a wrong setting. On the screen you can change the width, height and to this day. You should check these options.

    I have a Tecra A8 PTA83A 042012 with the video driver Intel (r) Express Chipset driver 945GM.

    I also have a Toshiba - 1LC2 monitor 21.5 Tekbright PA3719A "

The graphical interface drivers are updated according to the Toshiba site to THE (even though they are 2006).
I tried to find new drivers (winxp_14324.exe that seem to be the latest drivers for the video chipset intel), but the driver said that he does not support my hardware.

PS. I use an advanced port replicator but tried as well without it.

    What ports do you use?

Maybe the graphics card has limited resolutions supported. Check in the manuals of the user to page 180 s.

  • HP Pavilion a6750f: problem dual monitor (Second monitor not detected in DVI input)

Hello everyone, I'm going to by a problem of not being able to setp toward the top of my second monitor.

I own a HP Pavilion a6750f with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 card on board running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit operating system.  In the back, I have two VGA and DVI inputs, VGA works, but when I connect the other monitor which is connected to a DVI adapter on the back, Windows does not detect any.

I tried to go the DVI adapter to the other monitor and noticed that it refuses to work. I will note that my display drivers are all updated and I activated the option of customization to detect the second monitor, nothing shows up, it will not be the same acknolowdge that there are several screens.

I think it's weird that I don't see this problem being issued when I was searching for a resolution on google for hours now. If someone can help me here please I would be very happy.

Just to remind you try to connect a VGA (analog) monitor to a DVI - D (digital only) output on the computer. This is never going to work as analog and digital are two completely different incompatible signalling methods. With the help of an adapter DVI / VGA passive is the problem that these cards may work with DVI - I or DVI - A output... not DVI - D.

    Wikipedia - DVI;

"More digital, the DVI connector includes pins that carry an analog signal compatible with RGBHV signals in a VGA connector. This allows a VGA monitor be connected to a passive adapter and offers a universal solution for the DVI interface. The analog pins are the four that surround the apartment or cross the blade as shown on the right side of the diagrams below. »

    8 analog vertical sync

    C1 - analog Red
    C2 - analog Green
    C3 - blue analog
    C4 - analog horizontal sync
    C5 - analog ground

Note the absence of the pins on your computer and your so-called card C1, C2, C3 and C4. Without these pins is not just going to work. Still, there is no way to get an analog VGA monitor to work with your digital DVI - D only output using a so-called DVI - D to VGA. You may be able to buy an asset DVI - D to VGA Converter, but this will be expensive and cannot provide a poor video image quality.

As you said, the HP f1703 monitor supports only VGA. However, based on the specifications, your HP w2207h 22 inch LCD monitor supports the entry to a VGA and a HDMI input. HDMI and DVI - D share the same signage and using a HDMI-DVI cable or adapter HDMI-DVI and HDMI Cable will solve your problem. For two monitors running on your computer, please connect as follows:

Computer > HDMI-DVI cable or adapter HDMI-DVI and HDMI Cable > HP w2207h monitor

Computer > VGA cable > HP f1703 monitor

    Please send Bravo

  • W530 and Mini Docking Station - monitor not displaying at boot time

I have a W530 (2441A 53) and I just the mini docking station for it (433835U). We are using PGP Desktop, then when I start my laptop, it prompts me for a PGP password. The monitor does not display it for me at all. I have to go to the laptop, open it and enter the password (well, actually, I think I can probably get on the keyboard that I use with the monitor, but I don't see what is happening, and the docking station is in an uncomfortable situation). Once I get the password, and the machine gets more in the boot process, and then the screen finally shows what happens, and it's very well after this point (well, not exactly - it is not about taking advantage of the resolution of my screen - but I am not concerned about it right now).

Is there a setting I should do in the BIOS, Control Panel, etc., so that the monitor can function during startup?

In the BIOS, set the graphic display to the detection of Optimus discreet and set to 'disabled '.

So, after some re - try, I tried another cable. Then another monitor. still nada.
I guess its after a update restarted as it was due.

Any thoughts? and not; I got round to drive recovery either.

    Sarah,
You get no matter what video screen at all?  You get a "splash screen" OEM (when the pc is turned on display the logo of the manufacturer like Dell or HP)?   If you don't get any video at all, you must contact the PC manufacturer for the warranty support.  This looks like a possible hardware failure. Any particular resolution requires four things:

    A monitor that supports
A driver for your monitor and your version of Windows that supports
A graphics card that takes in charge
A driver for your graphics card and the version of Windows that supports supported

You have the first of these four. If you have the other three I

  • H243H monitor not coming back when it is turned off with the touch Monitor

Monitor works fine when connected to my laptop. When it is connected to my desktop Dell Dimension 8250 monitor will not return with monitor power button. Must turn off the computer, and then click again to get monitor comes back on. Computer is a video controller ATI 9700 Raseon

I thought it would be the computer. But the old Dell Monitor works fine on it. Map of Radion sees the Acer monitor, shows even the model #. I set Acer as primary monitor too because Dell is not connected.

Just tried with a VGA cable instead of a DVI cable. It works!  Incredible. I used a cable DVI with old Dell monitr OK. I tried 2 different cables DVI so I know it wasn't a bad cable. When I connected to my laptop Acer \d hae it is with an HDMI cable.  Must be something with the Acer he dislikes DVI

Auto config on Acer also works now. He did nothing when using a DVI cable.

It is therefore a question of compatibility of age. But it's more recent monitor like older cable.

Try typing the F8 key before Windows starts to appear in the start menu and select this option to start safe mode.  Make the changes to the view that you need to save and restart.  You can also try to plug an external monitor instead of your TV to see if you can see a picture then and make the necessary changes.

  • External monitor not connected - using mooring T500

    Hello

I have an external monitor connected via my docking station.  It has worked very well so far.  Suddenly the computer does not find the monitor (no external monitor connected).  I see that the monitor is in power save mode - as it used to be when laptop was off.  When I unplug the signal cable, the monitor is powered - so there is nothing wrong with the power of the monitor.

The incident happened in the following setting:

    1. I had a CD into the laptop when starting

    2. the Conference on disarmament began tearing before that my profile has been loaded (it looked like)

    3. I closed the top of the laptop when it was happening (normally it works very well and the external monitor appears).

I'm at a loss what to do here and appreciate many clues.

Tried to call my local support with no luck.
