With the help of monolingual, is it safe to remove all languages except English? All architectures except 64-bit Intel? BTW, for what it's worth my device is an iMac 2013 end running OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)
Why take the risk? You do not have to free up a significant amount of disk space.

Since the installation of Sierra, I experienced some problems with the Dictionary application. I'll try to explain this in the least difficult way possible. So whenever I try to do a quick search of dictionary-based on Spotlight, Spotlight gives me no results for dictionaries monolingual English. This means that if I have the New Oxford American Dictionary and its corresponding Thesaurus, Spotlight do not think everything about these dictionaries and keep will show the results of dictionaries, I disabled it, which in this case is the bilingual Italian-English Dictionary. Now, as much as I appreciate see entries from the dictionary being translated in my own native language (Italian), I would also like to see the entries in the monolingual dictionary on Spotlight, I strongly need for my work. In short, I'm looking for something similar in view of that context when menu shows you yellow - highlight a Word while, for example, surf Safari. I have no problem with context menus because they show all the dictionaries that are enabled in the dictionary application preferences window. To summarize, it looks like that Spotlight does not recognize these two American dictionaries (I also tried with a Dutch-English Dictionary) and continues to find definitions for the bilingual. This phenomenon happens to you too much on the Sierra? I would also add that, as a countermeasure, I did the following: deleted the file com.apple.Spotlight.plist in the folder of user library, re-indexed Spotlight, tried on a new account user without result, disabled the definitions in Spotlight, moved preferences box and down the dictionaries selected in the pane preferably small in the dictionary.

The question I did experience is otherwise.
I depend a lot on the context dictionary and see that it is missing, once upgraded to 10.12 is a bit annoying, not because I can not find how to fix it (because I think I have), but I'd need to know where to do this. Whenever I write a strange word, I try to make sure I use it properly. However, when I 'Look Up' a Word, I get a wikipedia article on a group of rock or something unrelated, like the component dictionary was gone by default.
Only by reading this thread I was able to launch the dictionary application - which immediately began to download a copy of the New Oxford American Dictionary. I guess my next task is to find an easier to apply dictionary (Canadian) and understand how to install it.

And so it goes. these accidents are less frequent but still happening.
Without apparent reason and without obvious fault with no special software.
As a result of a systemic crash today, I reinstalled my entire suite Adobe (making sure to eliminate leftovers) and I reinstalled El Capitan. Which was followed by the white screen of doom.
Now we seem to be up and running, but I'm not convinced how smoothly or for how long. EtreCheck report of joint...

MacBook Pro EtreCheck said below-average performance
I've seen people with a range of rotation post a list of less than average performance EtreCheck. I read on the limitation of the spotlight to documents and on uninstall security, in my case (I noticed that it much) of Symantec and uninstalling MacKeeper. I also have the Cocktail. Must I first uninstall all the people?
Everyone sees other problems? I've been on a Mac since 1987, but I'm a designer, I do not understand the report.
I have the beach ball on my Mac: a mid-2011, iMac 27 in., 16 GB of ram, running in mid-2012 El Cap 10.11.4 and a 15 MacBook Pro, 8 GB, same OS El Cap.
Any help is very appreciated, the slowless makes me crazy!

Yes. You may also need to reinstall Microsoft Word and any other program assigned by monolingual.
Programs such as monolingual should not be used.

Area of private use in the Oracle database

one of my customers have very specific needs. In this case, it has its own "characters". It uses Latin characters and certain characters. Their data are mixture of these characters. Their own characters are not in Unicode format and we have specific policies.
These specific characters will be in the private use area, but I don't know if and how the Oracle database support unicode private use area.

Oracle supports Unicode PUA you can store codes of PUA in a database AL32UTF8 and you can treat strings containing characters without special considerations. PUA characters are classified into letters in the Oracle database.
Oracle maps the characters (EUDC) user of various character sets defined multibyte (JA16SJIS, ZHS16GBK, ZHT16MSWIN950, KO16MSWIN949, etc.) to the characters of PUA. These characters are also used by the former Hong Kong HKSCS extension mapping. If supporting user-defined characters in PUA is not a problem for the customer, they can use the standard plane 0 (BMP) PUA [U + E000 to U + F8FF] in their purpose. However, to avoid conflicts with existing maps, they should put their characters in plane 15 PUA [U + F0000-U + FFFFD] or plane 16 PUA [U + 100000-U + 10FFFD]. The downside is that the planes 15 and 16 require four bytes per character in AL32UTF8 compared to three bytes for plane 0.
The classification applied to the characters PUA is the same as that applied to the other characters in a given environment. The order of the characters PUA in the given classification, depends on the type of snack:
- In BINARY classification, the comparison is obviously based on binary codes. The order depends on encoding (AL16UTF16 vs AL32UTF8), especially for aircraft 15 and 16 PUA plane.
- In monolingual rankings (which are not well suited for Unicode characters anyway) PUA are generally ignored in the sorting (but does not) than the characters defined explicitly in the given classification. Compared only among themselves, they use the UTF-16 Binary order.
- In multilingual characters rankings PUA are generally classified after all characters defined explicitly in the rankings, which are characters from scripts (Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Georgian, Armenian) Europeans and, in some rankings, an East Asian script. Between them, they are classified according to AL16UTF16 (= UTF-16BE) binary collation.

Select all your fonts in font book
File > validate fonts
You can preview fonts in font book, even if they are not open, just ctrl click and choose disable to gray out them. Your startup applications much faster, and you will have fewer problems if you can disable the fonts that you don't use often.
Since now I know that you are on a mac, you can find all your .lst files and remove them to clean your cache of police.
If you want to clean/speed up your fonts still more to remove foreign language by using the free utility monolingual policies. Drive Genius 3 is a commercial application, but did a fantastic job of removing GB of files hidden foreign language and libraries using the characteristic slim player.

OK so I obviously not looking for someone code this, but I hope to some "summer he does" entry type.
I have a set of files InDesign for the simplicities sake, I'll love novel and another game that is derived. Now, I would like to be able to simplify the text changes in InDesign novel to the derived files files. At this point, I am considering the bloated following strategy for most to wrap my brain around that, and then a final goal to dons the tool down to make things a little more unified.
(1) export the words of managers of related texts and Tables as separate text files. (No notes worry don't thank God). (At this point, I'm confident in my ability to this script).
(2) place the text files in the InDesign files in their respective places. (I did not do that, he's going to be a bit of a chore, but I feel like I can find a way to this script using geometricBounds and content... "I'm in a design phase).
(3) when the novel InDesign file, or once a day, the text script would be run and save the old text files. Set derivative updated InDesign file would detect links changed when it opened and the new text is filled.
It sounds simple enough, but I know with formatting, etc. things are going to get sticky real, real fast, but it feels like a better solution to extend the new changes to derivatives, one at a time. The alternative, I can image the track changes and then do a find replace on the dataset as an IDML.
In any case essentially in summary I want to push pieces of text of a set of documents in the other series of documents.
I can see why John asked you about the translation, because what you describe is a pretty normal thing when you manage documents in 20 languages. 'Management' is the key word here; SDL has all sorts of 'content management tools' that make your work very easy. Unfortunately, these tools are very expensive, so they are more likely to be useful to you if you ask on behalf of 10 to 30 people. But it looks like it's just you, to be honest, so I won't go in the descriptions of global-team-cat-breeding tools unless you ask. (They are great, especially if you have herd of cats).
What I do when I'm in your shoes, it's that I'm doing a translation memory 'false '. I would align my document 'parent' against him, saying that the source language was en_US and the target was en_NZ. I could do this because translation memory tools Excel doing what you're trying to (reuse the same content outside of its original context, magically, without working laborious alt - tab to Ctrl-c Ctrl-v). Because I had this conversation with the developers of database Mac of dozens of times over the years, this is where I usually mention Filemaker. What is your level of skills here? Save to CSV from there and put it in InDesign via to merge data. Manage content in Excel. Make people submit the changes in Excel. Manage the change tracking by writing scripting VBA to change tracking in Excel.
Well, there are other ways to do it on a roll-your-own basis, of course - I implemented a small SQL database, my client put in place a small online form for new presentations, and then we worked on getting the database to spit an XML well marked, we could then import in format ID and auto-magiquement. This workflow is usually very difficult, but because we have controlled how the XML has been marked up, it took place without a hitch. Most of the XML-in-ID projects are not as smooth, or so I heard. But I've never had to lift a finger to fix the XML, it has always been perfect and I thought that generally XML in ID projects require a lot of XSL transformations to make the data usable to all. But, once more, if you have the skills and tools, it is another technique of DIY-management content deserves to be studied. (But be careful if John posts on XML-> InDesign projects, his experiences were apparently also frustrating that the mine has been easy.)
TL; DR: Don't try to manage your content in InDesign. Out of your page layout tool in a container that makes sense, like a CMS, or a database Filemaker homebrew or even Excel.
