I discovered that it is possible to buy this font, but... I can stable in Indesign after that? And if it works, how can I do? I see that Typekit fonts, so I'm not sure, if I pay for Monotype Corsiva, that I will be able to add this font to others in the menu. It's the most useful police after dinner Romance for me and I really need. Thank you for the help and sorry for the English... Romana

Hi Romana,

Yes, if you buy Monotype Corsiva and install on your computer, you will be able to use it in InDesign.  Once you have downloaded and installed the font files, Monotype Corsiva appears in the type menu alongside your other installed fonts.

The site where you buy the license (s) must provide instructions for installation for your operating system, but here are some general as well:

http://www.Adobe.com/products/type/install-instructions.html

And here's more information to work with fonts in InDesign:

I hope this helps; Let me know if you have any other questions! Best,

    Add clear: both; in the 'footer' (as illustrated below) css selector

    #footer {}

    Background: transparent url (.. / images/TQA_Footer_Gradient.jpg) no-repeat;

    Clear: both;

    }

  • Div with background will not make properly

    Hello

    I hope you can help out me.  I'm a newbie, but I appreciate learning Dreamweaver and learning * with * DW as well.  I have successfully set up a site with DW, but a second has me baffled.  With this site, I try to use a photo as the background for a main div.  I was experimenting with different looks, and when I removed the #main height/width and then pasted in the height/width of the div, the div will not return to the old height/width front.  I tried all sorts of changes to see what else could have changed, but I don't know that this css is exactly the same than when made correctly.

    My goal is to create a page with a sidebar on the left and a main div with the background of the photo and a title on the page and a footer at the bottom.

    Here's the URL: www.learningtreefarm.org/mainindex.html

    Here's the CSS:

    {body
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    text-align: center;
    }

    #container {}
    Width: 80%;
    background-color: # 9-9;
    margin: 0 auto;
    overflow: hidden;
    text-align: left;
    }

    #sidebar {}
    Width: 13em;
    do-family: Calibri, Arial, without serif.
    float: left
    padding-top: 15px;
    padding-right: 0;
    padding-bottom: 15px;
    padding-left: 0;
    }

    #main {}

    font size: 350%;
    color: #FFF;

    Thank you, Osgood, but I don't want the background through the entire site, just to the main div.  The sidebar and the footer

    will be part of a model for future pages, but this is the first page of the site. I'm sure I know how to maintain the size of the div with just the background and the text line.  My confusion is why, when I removed the size properties and then glued hide them, did not the div return to what it was before?

    Your main

    is not picking up the width and the height because you have a space so that is the unit of measure and px. (see below)

    #main {}
    background-image: url (.. / images/webLTFbankbarnandpasture.jpg);
    height: 575 px;
    Width: 773 px;
    float: right;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    do-family: "Monotype Corsiva";
    font size: 350%;
    color: #FFF;
    text-align: left;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    }

  • Why not this shadowfilter?

    It seems to check, but I don't see no shadow on my text.
    ------- code -------------
    import flash.filters.DropShadowFilter;
    var shdw:DropShadowFilter = new DropShadowFilter (5, 45, 0 x 000000, 0.5, 10, 10, 3, 6);
    tLabel.filters = [shdw];

    This.createTextField("hello_txt",0,10,10,100,20) ("tLabel", this.getNextHighestDepth (), 50, 100, 110, 110);

    441
    tLabel.textColor = 0xFFFFFF;
    tLabel.text = "what?"
    tLabel.font = "Monotype Corsiva";
    tLabel.multiline = true;
    tLabel.wordWrap = true;
    makes it impossible to select for copypaste text
    tLabel.selectable = true;

    var style_fmt:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
    style_fmt.font = "Monotype Corsiva";
    style_fmt. Size = 18;
    tLabel.setTextFormat (style_fmt);

    you apply a filters property to a non-existent object (tLabel). to fix this, move this line down.

  • Sierra Adobe breaks makes inDesign CS6

    Hi people,

    I get a finger of download that sting for Sierra, my question should I break inDesign CS6?

    I have a bit of jump some operating systems, I also expect...?

    Thank you.

    using Yosemite 10.10.5

    Reported problems with Illustrator but CS6 is not longer supported by Adobe and was not compatible with the Mavericks and after according to Adobe. Apple does not solve the problem if you run into something, and adobe has no software open source so that others could provide a patch. I'm agree with your position not to be bullied into buying a subscription for the software with my humble OPINION less than stellar customer service I need to contact once a week, it was the decision of the Adobes.

  • InDesign CS5 will work with MacOS Sierra?

    Has anyone tried to see if InDesign CS5 will work with MacOS Sierra? I have creative cloud and CS5 on my machine, but due to some of the things that I have to work that only work with CS5 to CS6 I have to keep my old software. I hesitate to upgrade to Sierra until I know if InDesign CS5 will work or not.

    If anyone has tested this, I would be recognizing the return flow, thank you.

    It really depends what you do with it, and a large part of the framework has changes in the operating system for how the application is designed to run in. Your workflow can cause problems when the application works for others or you might be able to use it, but keep in mind has more no support for CS5 Adobe or Apple, so do not expect to solve any problems that you can discover.

  • Why I can't mount images in InDesign from the 'images' as I did with "iPhoto" before?

    Why I can't mount images in InDesign from the 'images' as I did from "iPhoto" before?

    Browser multimedia lla only will show you photos from your photo library, if the library is your system library.  Check in Photos preferences > general, if 'use as a Photo library system' is UO greyedcrossed, as it should be.

    and the application must be fully compatible with El Capitan, or it can only show the iPhoto and Aperture libraries.  You may need to update your copy of inDesign. I don't know, if there is a newer version.

  • Error memory, while using Adobe InDesign

    I've been running Adobe inDesign for a couple of years without any problems. It's the first time I got one, "not enough memory" error when you try to save the document in PDF format.
    Windows 7, Dell Studio XPS, 2.80 GHz processor, memory: 9 GB of Dram, hard disk: 1.5 to, 1.56 MB cache.
    Firefox v33.02
    What should I do to recover the memory?

    Thank you

    Don Schaaf

    Hi Don, this is a site of Adobe that you use in a Firefox tab, or independent InDesign application?

    If it is in the application, you can try the Adobe forum. You can also try to close other applications to free memory and then try again to create the PDF file.

    Please note that if Firefox worked for a while and uses a lot of memory, it may take several minutes for free stuff, like various files are up to date (slowly) to the stop. You can follow his progress in the Task Manager on the process tab press Ctrl + SHIFT + ESC to open the Task Manager, and then on the process tab Firefox is listed under firefox.exe here. Please let it close normally instead of use the button end process, unless it seems to stop (no movement amount of memory used for several minutes).

    The new Firefox integrated PDF viewer will not render gradients-shadows created in Adobe InDesign. He replaces it with a gray flat area - any shape he's sitting behind. Y at - it a fix for this problem?

    The current versions of Firefox have allowed a built-in PDF Viewer that has all of the features that other PDF as Adobe Reader readers have or can not work properly otherwise.

    You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) to Preview in Firefox to use Adobe Reader software or set always ask in "Firefox > Preferences > Applications.

    You can set the pref pdfjs.disabled true on the topic: config page to disable the build-in the PDF Viewer.

    Hello!

    I hope someone could help me with this problem. I am trying to print to my DJ500 from Indesign, but the only option for the output color is gray and RGB. If I print RGB colors are off, very dark. If I make a PDF and print from Acrobat Pro it works well.

  • Can't do breaks in InDesign - Satellite Pro P300 (PSPCDE)

    Hello

    I have a big problem. I wanted to work with Adobe InDesign. I want to write a text in a textfield, so I pressed 'Enter' (to the letter key) to write in a new paragraph.

    The second line was hidden and my teacher told me in InDesign, the two "Enter" keys have different functions. "" "" Enter' on the numeric keypad, wrote in a new column, that "Enter" it on the pad of the letter written on a new line, normally. But the two "Enter"keys to my laptop have different functions." The text after "Enter" is always in a new column. I don't like this.

    It is not an error in the settings of Adobe InDesign. Maybe it's a problem of my laptop an error in the settings of my laptop.

    I hope that you can help me and I hope you have understood my problem.

    Hello

    I don t know InDesing software but I know that the ENTER key on the keyboard always maintains the same function.
    So I doubt that it is a problem of Toshiba laptop.

    However, you may have forgotten to activate something on the keyboard.
    I mean check if FN + F10 or FN + F11 would allow the parameters that should be provided by the key ENTER into the software InDesing.

  • Adobe Creative Suite 4 (especially InDesign) will work in El Capitan?

    Adobe Creative Suite 4 (especially InDesign) will work in El Capitan?

    It is not supported and if you encounter a bug person will solve this problem, ever.

    I had problems taking care of multiple users on CS5.5 in particular, Indesign.

    That being said back up your system with time machine

    It is best to do a clean install of 10.11 over the update

    clean install CS4

    and use the legacy Java Apple is invited.

    https://support.Apple.com/kb/dl1572?locale=en_US

    This methodology has worked for some, but not all. Depending on your workflow, you may have no problems, some problems or a total blowout. Adobe does not officially support CS4 and 10.11.x

    If you have problems to restore the previous instance of your Time Machine backup operating system

    Do not pass without backup

    even if you don't update, you must back up.

  • What version of InDesign is supported by El Capitan?

    I'm starting to think I made a huge mistake by installing El Capitan. I have Adobe Creative suit (CS5) and so far no problems with PhotoShop, but certain features of InDesign have been sterilized. The most frustrating is that path doesn't work at all, who dedicated a project that I'm trying. Then I was told by Adobe CS5 is totally not taken in charge by the OS 10.11.1. Large. Does anyone know if any version of the Creative Suite IS supported? Please don't tell me that I need to "rent" from Adobe. An owner of their programs is sufficient.

    CS2015 is the only version "supported", but I had my hands full with it.

    Creative Suite is no longer supported by Adobe before OS 10.11 and they ended up support in his favor in total. Keep in mind Apple makes it very clear in the OS X EULA (if you read) that if OS X install causes a software package to stop work that is your problem, not them.

    Here's how you can try with CS5 in order, try one step and test, if it fails, go to the next:

    Reset your InDesign preferences by launching the Application (NOT a shortcut or icon in the dock, it will not work) and now the key SHIFT + CTRL + ALT + CMD then click launch. You need to reset preferences if you did it correctly.

    Create a new account with administrative rights and boot in this account

    A new installation of CS5 using Adobe CS removal tool and the original media
