  Using Captivate 2: my stand-alone files work fine for all users, no matter where I place them on the network, but I just published as SWF with export HTM and the HTM opens only the skin and SWF files if I open it in the folder where it was published.   OK, now I understand: you need a Flash Player to play the local .swf files.

  You can't do that with add-on browser, you will need the standalone Flash Player (projector) for this.  You can download it from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

  Note that downloading is the player, not an installer, so you'll need to make the association of file manually.

  I suggest you place the player downloaded as well as other Flash files

  on 32 - bit systems: C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

  on 64 - bit systems: C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash

  I understand that you're having trouble to open a document Pages 5.6.1 on your MacBook Pro.  Have you recently updated or changed on demand?  Have you tried to open a Pages document on icloud drive, in addition to your computer? One thing I would try is to use Time Machine and go back to an earlier date and see if you can open a document.  If you can't, then you must uninstall the application Pages and re-download from the Mac App Store.
