mother of HP pavilion dv6-6052ea

Hi to everyone. It'sy first post here, so accept my apologies if I post in the wrong place.

I would like to ask a question about the replacement of the motherboard of the laptop above. It was originally a HP PAVILION DV6-6000 motherboard 641486-001 and base 989. Anyone know if its necessary to be exactly the same or there must be just a dv6-6000?

(HP PAVILION DV6 DV6 - 6000 Intel HM65 motherboard 641484-001) does not?

Thanks in advance.

Same chipset and socket but they wouldn't have different numbers if they were the same. That they had slightly different ports or other minor differences. The mounting holes will be in the same place. You may need minor mods cases with a dremel tool. If possible, try to find an exact replacement. One thing you can do is remove your Board and google for images of the one you want to replace it with. I googled the number for the images and found a lot from every angle. Compare what you have and see if there are significant differences.

    Hi Phil,

This number is for portable computers running AMD processor. You must get the so-called 641477-001.

I think you better return her you already received.

Confirm the part number with the seller and then proceed with the purchase.

  • HP pavilion dv6-2115sa card mother and processor replacement

    Hello world

    I have a HP Pavilion DV6-2115sa

    Product number: WB330EA #ABU

It is out of warranty and one day when he began cutting during the boot. I brought it to a local store and they gave me a ridiculous price for a replacement motherboard.

I came across one with HP Pavilion DV6-2113sa auction to sell for a small price with a motherboard completely functional.

I wanted to ask if it is possible to move the motherboard for my laptop and possibly putting my processor in the new motherboard?

I would very much apreciate any responses as the id would like to know if there is any time to do the 2113sa?

    [removed s/n of privacy]

    Hello:

I would speculate that it is certainly possible.

Here are links to the two models.

  • HP Pavilion DV6-3210us: different heat sink? (HP Pavilion DV6-3210us)

    Hello

Recently, I posted a message on a HP Pavilion dv6-3210us death.

Received a motherboard replacement & after installation, I turned on. The fan ran & almost from the start, the computer turns off. When I turned it back to try again, he came with a message 'overheat '. I waited and tried again, and yet once, it returns the same results...

Received another card mother replacement today and after further review (the original replacement is exactly the same) there is a chip with 3 screw for an another heat sink holes. It seems to be a video card with chips 4 memory along the side of it. The jury is exactly the same as the original with the exception of these chips. Does anyone know about this chip & if there is another type of heatsink / fan for it?

Thanks for any assistance, you may be able to provide.

    Hello @Dyke67ny,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your post and see you're wondering if there's an another heatsink for your HP Pavilion dv6-3210us Entertainment.

I took a glance at the guide to maintenance and maintenance for your laptop, there are two different heatsinks for this model of laptop. The type of heat sink depends on the graphics used in the notebook (either discrete or UMA).

Take a look at page 90.

I ask if I can use a number of motherboard 511864-001 in my pavilion dv6-1020ef because my old card mother died, he used to have an Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 and a graphics card from Nvidia to the discrete address?

    Hi Gothicus,

I did some quick research and 511864-001 card will work in your model. I've included a link to the manuals page, there are a bit different, but if you check the maintenance and Service of Guide, it will show you how to remove all the components. The system board or motherboard is on page 101.

  • Pavilion dv6 1110ax motherboard replacement

    Hello

Recently my 1110ax BIOS corrupted and m unable to get by any way mrntioned on the forums.

Key combinations don't work not and this USB STICK.

Now the service center guys say that the motherboard has problem and must be replaced. which I doubt completely.

Is that what someone can say if I can keeping my existing AMD turion processor & card graphics ATI radeon 1 GB to save cost.

And is it possible to upgrade the processor and graphics card.

I had been using this laptop for 5 years now and really don't want to give up on this...

    Receive no response.

You can save the processor and the memory and the hard drive, but the video is part of the motherboard. The processor you have is:

AMD Turion RM-74 2.2 GHz with 2 MB of L2 cache

It's the fastest that can be installed:

    AMD Turion™ ZM-87, 2.4 GHz with 2 MB of L2 cache

A ZM-87 is about $40 on eBay and I'll tell you that it is not worth it for a ghz upgrade.2.

Radeon 1 GB video is upscale for the dv6-1000 series, so there is no better mother/video card.

    It's the motherboard:

    509450 001

It is a good deal at $78 for the Board of Directors:

  • Pavilion DV6 6001tx: GPU upgrade on DV6 6001tx

    Hello

    My laptop as spec below:

    HP Pavilion DV6 - product number: LN346PA

    2 GHz intel i7 2630QM

8GB RAM - added an another slot of 4 GB of RAM

AMD Radeon HD 6770 M (1 GB of DDR5 memory) - stock GPU

    750 GB SATA (5400 RPM)

I checked online, the AMD Radeon HD 6770 M GPUS have a MXM-3. 0 to slot. Appreciate if you can give advice if this laptop GPU use MXM - 3. 0 has slot or it is soldered to the motherboard. As the CPU for this laptop is able to do what I need, I just intend to upgrade the GPU so that I do graphics work that must be one more spec to the GPU, rather than buying a new workstation (which will be more expensive than upgrading the GPU).

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

Maintenance and Service Guide lists every mother/System Board for each model of videocard (on page 85). This means that the video card is welded to the motherborad. Therefore, you must buy the whole and it may cost much more than your thinking.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-DV6-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/5048664/model/5068295/manuals

    I hope this helps.

  • What model should I get for my Pavilion DV6-3150us? I think that the jury must be replaced.

My Pavilion DV6-3150us has problems with the Council and I plan to replace. Should what advice I expect? The model please. Thank you.

I guess you mean the card mother aka mainboard? You will need the manual of maintenance here:

    Manual

You have UMA or shared with the Intel Core i5 processor video model first generation including the chipset HM55. This is the REF HP of the Board of Directors, you must:

Map graphics Intel HM55 UMA and shared memory 615281-001

HP still has the jury in stock:

    https://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/Search_Results.aspx?mscssid=77681FA0C3354C2BAE5E6627AD5B70F6&SearchIn=PartNumber&SearchPN=615281-001

If your Board is bad HP will exchange it for $264. If the price seems high to you (it does for me) then you can consider an alternative like this seller on eBay:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-DV6-3000-Intel-motherboard-615281-001-works-/281467246032?PT=motherboards&hash=item4188c155d0

The above is shipped from $55.

There are a lot of the same card on eBay, but the prices looked better from a seller of good reputation, shipped from the United States

The only replacement that you can do is with a part of HP. There is no spare parts standard of the industry and desktop computers. It's all HP owners.

Hello, Pepe, I may be wrong, but you can have the mother superior spec card. If I'm not mistaken the model of envy are slightly higher in spec too. I had a quick look at the maintenance manuals want DV6 and its almost identical to the pavilion DV6. Out of curiosity, if you where to copy the files from the external hard drive on your laptop SSD, which is the average of the writing speed? I know that this will not prove the capacity of SSDS but I just want a rough idea

    Thank you

Yes, there are two versions of the Board of Directors. We're with nVidia GF 630 M and the other with 650M. The 650 M using memory DDR5 but only DDR3 of 630 m there is dfferent to dual core and quad processor boards but the chipset remains the same.

  • Replacement keyboard for HP Pavilion dv6 - 7078ca backlit?

    Hello

I bought a HP Pavilion dv6 - 7078ca in June. I'm very happy with it, but I have often wished that she had a backlit keyboard. Recently, I have been see which seems to be the same PC only with ATI graphics card and a backlit keyboard! I went to HP service center and they told me that the only way this could be done by contacting HP costomer service and send it to them to make the change. So, how do I do and how much it would cost?

    Hello

This is not the right place to request a quote, you must contact the support center. If the motherboard on your machine has all the connectors cost would be low but if needed a new motherboard then the cost would be very high. The worst case: you have to pay for a new mother + new keyboard + postage service. Here is the list of phone numbers:

  • HP Pavilion DV6-6031eo - black screen (backlight problem)

I ve bought a new laptop Pavilion DV6-6031eo 2 weeks ago, and it worked fine until today.

    The question:

When I turn on the laptop, it starts as usual and the system works perfectly, but the screen is black, so I can´t use it, unless you use another monitor, think I Don t want to. I think it has something to do with the backlight, or perhaps the retroeclairages cable routes.
HP logo at the back of my screen used to light up when I turned on my laptop, but now it s too messed up.

No backlight and no light in the HP logo.

I ve sent an email to HP TotalCare, since I got my warranty (lasts 1 year) and I would like to know if they will cover it.

Hopefully, I will get a response as soon as possible.

    Thank you.
