Motherboard change, keeping the CPU

I have a HP6520nl and now I want to buy a new ATX Motherboard with a new case. I HexaCore AMD Phenom II X 6 1035 T, 2582 MHz Thuban, but I think that it is a good eniough for at least a year. I want to like ASRock motherboard 990FX Extreme3 cuz she has 3 PCIe x 16 slots where two can be used as 16 x.

But I think my CPU is still quite good will I be able to replace in this new motherboard? Cuz with the help of Everest, I can't find this is a motherboard AM3 and AM3 +.

EDIT: Is it true that I can run SLI on this motherboard? Or do I have to have 2 AMD graphics cards?

SLI is used for Nvidia graphics cards, AMD graphics cards using Crossfire.

And Yes, it must have 2 or more SLI or Crossfire graphics cards.

Your motherboard, you're ready to upgrade, you can have the two SLI or Crossfire active (if you have 2 or more graphics card.)

Running Windows XP, I often setup.exe keeping the CPU at 100% for at least a few minutes... this process can be completed or ignored?

"Setup.exe" is a generic term used by many applications.  The short answer is 'yes', it's OK to complete the process, but you really need to know what it is and why it continues to run.

You probably need to download, install, update and run these free malware scanner (not at the same time):
    MalwareBytes AntiMalware
    SUPERAntiSpyware

If that is not fix things, and assuming that this process begins when you start the computer, download, install, and run Autoruns.  When Autoruns has finished scanning, click the 'Connection' tab and look for the line that contains "setup.exe".  You can just uncheck the box on the left, or remove the item, which will prevent the routine of starting when Windows starts.

Preferably, however, you should look at the path containing setup.exe where you should be able to deduce what application is trying to set itself up.  You can then take the appropriate measures, which may be simply delete the folder that contains the file.  Note that if you delete the file, you must ALSO remove the line in Autoruns, otherwise you will get a "file not found" error every time Windows starts.

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

It's Windows user account control program step by step > > http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/what-is-user-account-control#1TC=windows-7

It happens because the program needs additional privileges to work and because it is not digitally signed (aka Windows cannot check the owner). This program seems to come from an HP, but it is not required for the operation of your computer. You can safely remove the exe in C:\programFiles (x 86) \Hewlett Packard\SetupManager\hpDST.exe

You can go to control panel > > programs and features, find HP Support Assistant, or something with the name of the HP configuration manager and uninstall them.

If the problem persists or you are unable to find the program, please let me know - there are more things that can be used.

  • After awhile java.exe is the CPU at 100%

    Hello!

I have a problem with the java.exe in the environment in which I work. In the environment, I have a physical server: Sun Fire X 4100 Server with 2 processors and 16 GB of RAM for control of virtualization. On the system, this is the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter and vCenter 5.5.

For the most part, we are 5 guys in the team who use the vSphere Web GUI. We are connecting to the server using RDP and after some time, we can not connect because the CPU is at 100%. It takes 20-30 minutes to be able to connect. And then 5-10 minutes to be able to click on something. For example, to kill the java.exe file keeps the CPU at 100%. This isn't a good idea because afterwords the Web GUI does not work so we need to restart the server.

Anyone of you have any idea why this is happening?

    Bogdan

Sorry! I can't see the part about it being the physical server... which version of VC is this?

Yes, you can reinstall Windows 7 OEM System Builder License on the new hard drive with the new processor.

It will not be a problem in this case, since you don't "move" installation, you are doing a new installation. The less it will take is activation of the phone, as you change the hard drive:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

  • Equium L20-264: can I unlock the options in the Bios to change the speed of the CPU & FSB

    Hello

I have a toshiba equium l20-264 today and I was wondering if I can open it the options in the bios to change the cpu speed and the speed of the fsb.

But if you don't don't do this, I already have a Dell Xps laptop Overclcoked to 4.5 ghz (twisted majorly) and I installed today a very powerful cooler and heatsink of heat inside my laptop, I'm ready to overclock bu ti do not know if I can via bios but if so could you point me to guides for a code name overclocking intel celeron m 360 : DOTHAN

    Help, please

    regards James...

    Hello

Unfortunately, this is not possible on the laptop.

I o year owner of 3 different computers; two laptops and a desktop PC. The BIOS on the desktop is different and allows to change and increase the CPU. But the laptops BIOS does not allow to do something similar.

Why? Because the CPU overclocking would increase the internal temperature and make portable is not stable and perhaps that it would infringe the motherboards and CPU!
The notebooks run with maximum efficiency. If you compare the notebooks modules with cooling Office cooling modules you will see the difference!

Please don t waste your time and don t find any possibility to overclock the CPU and the FSB

You should not have a problem if you only change the CPU. However, if you change too many things at the same time, which could cause an activation problem.

  • Change the motherboard & processor on the retail XP pro machine

I will be able to change my case with my XP Pro retail license existing and mobo, cpu?

I will be reusing the existing HARD disks and optical drives.

Yes, but with a new motherboard if fails it "Repair Installation", you may need to perform a clean installation of XP.

Still think XP has existed for some time it can't hurt to download the latest drivers from device XP and updated the BIOS from the web site of the manufacturer of the mother/support download card.

Set of utilities to test for computer HARDWARE manufacturers:

Note: If you are OverClocking or use any automatic overclocking BIOS features, Intel EIST or Turbo Mode (turn off).
then back at the speed of stock as a starting point.

Disconnect the other internal hard drives and external USB devices.

First try running Memtest86 +, which runs from a floppy disk or CD and should eliminate or
confirm whether your one or more of your sticks of memory are bad or the values of the SPD in the BIOS are correct.
Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours, so no errors at that time then your ram is OK.

I get Xeon 5405 2 new processors and averything works very well!

The ESXi Machine I have two guests. A Windows 2003 32-bit in English. This comments works fine. Other STI comments 2008 RC2 64 Bit English Windows Server. On this comment, I get the Message:

    File: Windows\System32\Winload.exe

    Status 0xc000035a

  • How can I change the owner of a Mac while keeping the software?

    Hello

I saw online sales of used sellers Mac with the included software. A part of the software includes Adobe CS6 Master Collection, Final Cut Pro X, Microsoft Office, etc.

If I buy the laptop, how I would change the possession of the laptop to me while keeping the software on the computer?

If I have to use my Apple ID, wouldn't that let me use Final Cut Pro as it is allowed to the former owner ID and not mine?

In addition, is there advice on how to move from Final Cut Pro X (and other software) to another Mac if I happen to get another?

    Thank you

    Matthew

Unless sellers are explicitly including transfers of software license, you cannot continue to use the software without eventually getting into trouble. Adobe CS apps can be installed on multiple machines, but they cannot be activated on two. If the 'included' software has already been activated by the previous owner, you won't be able to use it.

The inclusion of the high-end systems used on applications should be a red flag: avoid sellers.
