Mounting screws

Hello, I recently bought an additional hard drive for my Studio XPS 8100 and would like to know if these are the screws I need to mount it. The hard drive came with no screws. These are the screws in question. Thank you in advance.

    Hi all

As indicated in the subject I am hunting the purchase of a mounting rack for our FVS336GV2 kit and could do with the Netgear part number to order if anyone can list please?

The manual States on page 18 that it is part of the provided content then on page 22, the unit in the rack mounting mounting kit.

    http://www.downloads.NETGEAR.com/files/GDC/FVS336GV2/FVS336Gv2_RM_18DEC14.PDF

However the Datasheet on the last page does not show as a part of the content provided...

    http://www.downloads.NETGEAR.com/files/GDC/datasheet/en/FVS336Gv2.PDF

When I call netgear they keep telling me that the rack kit is p/n: 42010043-01.

This kit is for the office series M4100 switch and will not agree to the FVS336Gv2.

    The M4100 DG12 is 328mm ~ 321mm width and the FVS336Gv2 is only 254mm wide.

Even if the kit above mounting screw holes are the correct model to lay on the side of the FVS336Gv2 the ears would be too short to reach the edge of the rack mount amounts to mount even when.

    Kind regards

    Peter.

    Hi Peter_A,

    Welcome to the community.

I regret to inform you that, it seems, there is just a mistake in the manual of the FVS336Gv2 so that it is not intended for rack design.

    Kind regards

  • HP EliteDesk 800 G2: HP EliteDesk 800 G2 2.5 inch screw drive

Where can I get screws drive 2.5 inches.  They are distinguished by the 3.5 inch mounting screws.  These should be shock resistant mounting screws.

I can't believe that it was so difficult for an answer.  I found that they use the isolation to drive screws 2.5 "on the recent series of mini EliteDesk.

    The correct answer is:

HP part # 594220-001 - past - son of insulation of hard drive (blue color)

They are difficult to find than the 3.5 "drive of isolation living in the after-market.

  • Screw hard drive Dell

I need to install my old hard drive SATA on my new Inspiron 531 s as a second hard drive. Tried and realized that the fixing screws are special. They have a big head. I have a lot of normal mounting screws, none of them are close too it. I tried to get them in stores, nobody wants. Called Dell support, parts etc. They "do not sell". It's a shame, as it should have been included in the box. I may return this computer because I can't get 4 small screws.

Dell should include with the box, certainly sell it or just give it on request. Anyone know how to get these screws 'shoulder '.

  • FOR MAC PRO HARD DRIVES INTERNAL

I have 3 internal drives of 1 TB and want to add a 4th disk. Original record say 1 or 2 to, but I have a TB drive 4 or 5. This computer that will manage or am I stuck adding a 2 TB drive?

Two problems with large capacity disks:

-There is what some say is a "bug" to erase the drives more of 2.2 to 10.8.4 or later version. It's group of logical volume partitions. To avoid the problem:

    -Do not delete

-Use a disk from a previous version of OSX utility

-Clear in an external enclosure that supports large capacity disks

-Manually remove the partitions of a logical Volume using Terminal Server group.

    Second problem is

    To sled mounting internal:

The penetration of the screw depth for 'down-screw mount adjacent to the platters' on some readers from over 3 TB have been shortened. This may mean that the live sled down until they adjust and begin to compress the washers on the sled. If this is the case, your drive will not rest flat on the sled and do not breed with the connector backplane without additional adjustment.

OWC now sells sleds that uses different types of mounting holes in the HD to avoid this problem.

You can shorten the screws, or put a washer under the head to ensure they can be warm in the authorized depth. Also, now OWC/Macsales now sells sleds that use the location of the different types of mounting screws to avoid this problem. However, these sleds are only for the Pros 2009 and subsequent

  • Can I use 6 discs in a Mid 2012 Mac Pro Server to?

I want to consolidate a couple of servers on a Mac Pro Server. I intend to use a disk to store data and the other as backup (simple clones). 6 TB of hard drives compatible with the Mid 2012 Mac Pro?

    Yes with the following conditions:

-There is a bug in OSX 10.8.4 and later the internal formatting prevents drivers more than 2.2 GB.

This bug appeared in 10.8.4, and has not yet been set. You can

using an any older Mac OS X disk utility, your Mac may initially with 10.7.3, 10.8 or 10.8.3 and therefore the 10.6 DVD and so does not work

Another work around is to move this drive in an external case and delete it there (assuming your case is modern enough to deal with readers more than 2.2 to.

    • When you DELETE a more 2.2 TB drive in an internal drive Bay, it is given the stuff of Logical Volume in Mac OS X 10.8.3 and later versions. Many readers regarded here as a BUG. Logical volume group partitions were not needed and trafficked, re - DELETE and other functions. There are several very different workarounds:

    • Re-CLEAR in a box outside, provided you can accommodate more discs 2.2 TB ("really old" cannot).
    • CLEAR using Mac OS X or Recovery_HD or install predates it 10.8.3
    • Manually delete the partitions of a logical Volume using Terminal Server group.

-For the mounting of sled internal:

The penetration of the screw depth for 'down-screw mount adjacent to the platters' on some readers from over 3 TB have been shortened. This may mean that the live sled down until they adjust and begin to compress the washers on the sled. • Cannot live-edit CSS using Inspector

On most Web sites, when the Firefox CSS/HTML Inspector is open, I can make changes to live to the CSS and that changes are reflected on the page I visit.

For some sites, however, it does not. Here are the sites that I work every day, so I think I must have done something to accidentally disable a mounted directly on these sites.

My colleague who is working on the same sites is not having the same problem, so it has limited just for me.

I tried to open Firefox in Mode safe to see if Add-ons would interfere, but I have the same problem in Mode without failure.

Mounting screws works as expected when you use Firebug. In addition, I have no problems editing the HTML or inline CSS - only when you change the 'rules', such as displayed in the sidebar.

This problem was solved when I updated to Firefox 29!
    Thank you!

  • Qosmio G40 - update graphics card

    Hello world

I know it works has already answered in October 2009, but I have a few not 100% course info on the upgrade of the graphics cards. Now I have a qosmio g40-10 with nvidia geforce 8600 with 512 video memory. Because this card is purely not enough for the high-end gaming today, I want to update at least 1 GB of video memory. Like many people here, I tried to find some information online but its just waste of time. I asked in each PC store in my town this topic and 60% of them responded that it is possible, but it will cost you so.

They could not tell exactly witch card should take but logically it will be nvidia series that were used by Toshiba manufacter, what I'll do I will find some young model of Toshiba nvidia cards and will just try to adapt it. Logically that laptops Toshiba chassy is almost the same, of course mounting screws can be different, but ultimately, it's a project. The only problem is the motherboard, I heard that this motherboard is unable to accept certain graphics cards.

If you have some info on this please let me know.
Also different (highest card) coz, there will be cooling problem so if you have ideas to solve heating, please share it with me.
    Thanks much adrian

    Hello Adrian

I guess that you know very well that the possibilities of upgrade on mobile units are very limited; especially GPU or CPU upgrade and laptop manufacturers offer don t any kind of support. Because of the design specific common problem for mobile units is cooling system. More performance means more heat and more heat, compromised of portable computer hardware switch or damage.

Manufacturers of portable don t support cela and don offers t any helpful info about it. GPU upgrade in my opinion is not a good idea. OK, you can do with your laptop that you want and play a little bit, but I'm afraid that your project is too risky and will not end with success of m.

If you need a more powerful computer I think it's time for the new portable computer with more powerful hardware. What you think so.

  • Satellite L70-A-139 - SSD upgrade

    Hello

I have a Satellite L70-A-139, and I want to spend my HARD for one SSD drive. I already opened the back to see, and there is a label that saids "only 7mm.

The ssd I want to buy is an EVO of 840 SSD 250 GB.
But that one is 6.8 mm in height, the it will give installation problems?

    Thank you

I don't think so. Remove the two HARD drive mounting screws and disconnect the mounting of the HARD drive to the connector on the system board.

While the hard disk onto a flat surface and remove the HARD drive bracket.

To build again SSD shouldn't be complicated.

I hope that you have created a recovery media. If this is not the case, do. This recovery media, which you can use to install the original version of Windows that you got with your machine.

  • HDR-AS15 in 3D?

GoPro has developed a stereoscopic box for their Hero2 camera a few years ago. It turned out to be quite popular, but it is no longer manufactured (and none is available for Hero3).

3D has declined in popularity some time ago, but the Rift of the Oculus is fast making it popular again.

I've actually used a pair of cameras Sony HDR-AS15 for 3D by placing a pair of cameras side by side and just synchronize the images manually with a synchronization signal. It works very well and looks quite amazing, especially in 60 fps!

Get firmly aligned cameras turned a bit problematic. In addition, it would be great if the cameras could better sync.

Maybe Sony could design and release a 3D for the HDR-AS15 housing owner, like the GoPro 3D?

Basically, the HDR-AS15 housing 3D could:

    • accommodate two cameras HDR-AS15, side by side, remote of 65 mm (65 mm human average = RPI = best stereoscopy), firmly aligned
    • Provide a tripod mounting screw hole
    • Allow access to the stereo microphone (I guess we should have both a raincoat and a 'skeleton' 3D housing available as separate products?)
    • Includes a sync cable, between the Sony camera communication ports, to keep the two synchronized cameras (you will get an extra bonus if you can keep even the phases of CMOS sensor, exposure and balance of whites in sync!)

I have, on the one hand, would immediately buy this.

I am aware that there are some real 3D camcorders, but they have their own limitations: too narrow, IPD, too narrow field of view (and no available fisheye lens) and so on.

Thanks for sharing this post. I don't know the workaround solution that you shared with us will help those who want to use the cam action for the registration of the 3D sequences.

The HDR-AS15 doesn't have any 3D native ability to date, we are more than happy to send your comments to the appropriate Department. We place a very high value on feedback from our customers because it allows us to continue to improve. Thanks again and have a wonderful day.

  • 8000: workstation elite 8000 ssd

I would like to add an ssd in my 8000 workstation, so I bought one with a converter. but the converter is too small (bought several of them, 5inch will not fit), anyone know how to get an ssd in a workstation?

    You are the very welcome.

You must use the anti-vibration mounting screws.

They are what holds the adapter in the Bay, as the HDD 3.5 works '.

    These...

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/4pcs-new-hard-drive-machine-screws-Z200-6000-8000-8200-dc7800-dc7900-original-/141824401480?hash=item210564a048:g:g08AAOSwQoFWOIGG

Place them on the sides of the adapter and slide it into the Bay until it locks in place.

I did the same thing to my 8200 Elite, but the adapter was different... comes from Intel and it enters the lower drive Bay, but I still had to use the disk hard retroviral-mounting screws.

  • Remove cover from closing/screen on my Satellite 1110-Z14

My Toshiba Satellite 1110 - portable Z14 has developed a fault which means he keeps
cut to leave a blank screen. If I open and close quickly, he returns to everything and then goes again. It is not cost-effective to repair it and I connected another monitor and now I'm fine. I would remove the lid/screen and found it difficult.

I have removed the two screws but still could not remove it, the 2 hinges do not seem to move - someone ' can someone help?

    Hello

To remove all of the screen, follow the steps

    1. remove the two screws on the back panel of the cover of the band
    2. open the display Panel completely so that it is lying flat
    3. remove the cover of the band by lifting the left edge
    4. remove the screws fixing the whole of the display:
-Two screws that attach the hinges
-A support for right hinge mounting screw
-A screw of the left hinge support
-A screw of the display cable
    5. unplug the display cable by pulling on the attached cord.
    6. open the faceplate so that it is perpendicular to the computer and lift it.

    Good luck and be careful.

  • size power supply?

It takes a standard size. To measure, then compare with other power supplies (standard size):

  • ATX: 6x3.5x5.5 ", h. most common. Use 4 mounting screws. Some more powerful models can be more deep!
  • " Mini-ATX: 5x3.5x5 ', dimensions WxHxD. Rare. Use 4 mounting screws. Can be used in a regular ATX case, but often not the other way around.
  • MicroATX: 5 x 3 x 4 ", live editing HxWxD use 3. Not interchangeable with ATX or miniATX.
  • Flex ATX: Even smaller than Micro ATX. Case various sizes according to specifications; often not interchangeable.
  • Replacing the power supply on a HP Pavilion P6000

Outputs video (DVI and VGA) were both released on my motherboard. Rather than go through the hassle of dealing with Microsoft if I had to replace the MB, I decided to install a MSI Geforce 210 graphics card and the existing PCI express slot. However, the existing power is rated at 250 watts and the new video card got a minimum rating of 300 watts. It seems to work, and I don't do any high-end graphics or game. My main uses of the PC are paying bill online, e-mail and a few online forums. Should I replace the power supply with a higher nominal? I have a Hiper Type R PSU which is estimated at 580 watts and was planning to replace it with the 250, but it looks like not her suits because it is deeper than the power installed about half an inch. The deeper power looks like it should stick on a half inch at the rear of the computer when it is against the stop before power in the case. I would like to have some advice on the use of the existing offer or be able to use my power Hiper 580.

The HP Pavilion P6617C model, which is the number of product BT427AAR developed a standard ATX size power supply. Dimensions (as you know) are 5.9 "x 3.4" on the back and depth 5.5"in the case. The small metal latch/stop button to slide the power supply existing forwards (for removal). There really is no support.

4 rear mounting screws fix the power supply of the Cabinet. Of concern would be the length, an added 0.7 ", as well as cables/connectors.  You can try the Hiper in the case, and if it fits, OK. Otherwise, I suggest a diet that actually matches the Rosewill 630W
