  I got it fixed. I replaced the HDMI cable, no change, I tried another TV, no change, I moved the feet 12 laptop away from the TV, no change, bought a Logictech M315 mouse, same technology as the MS3500 and everything's fine. Does a lot for the MS3500 mouse.

  Found the answer. Thought post and leave this place just in case somebody stumbles on this problem. The basic solution is simple, and I broke it down to an approach more friendly for users of computers laptop pc panicked.

  1. right click of the mouse on the empty office space, open the desktop menu.

  2. from this menu, highlight the option at the bottom that reads "Customize." This will open a new window with options for different types of alterations included (categories are available under each button).

  3. in the preferences window, select the button titled "Mouse pointers" by double-clicking. That, Yes, yet another window will open.

  4. in this window "Mouse pointer", select the last tab on your right, called "device settings".

  HP solved the problem free of charge, including shipping in both directions and repair.

  It took ten days in total, and we used the laptop without a problem for about 10 days more.

  It seems that the hinges for laptop and the display case were entirely replaced, and no data has been lost.

  My son is thrilled to have his laptop in return, and to my eyes, HP just went through.

  I wouldn't hesitate to buy another HP product, although I confess in the hope that:

  (1) HP manufacuring no longer uses defective parts

  (2) HP treats everyone with this problem of hinge with the same care

  While my friend was working on his laptop computer that she had his charger plugged but it did not load. I discovered that the lead from the Charger AC/DC had frayed and should resolidering.   I noticed that the WiFi card was broke, so I changed it to a WiFi card in my other laptop used. After back the laptop together and put the battery in, the lights on the front flash blue only and the power light stays orange as if the laptop is in stand-by mode. I can hear the hard drive turns and the CPU heats more CD-ROM drive works, but I can't start that the laptop just sits there with the Orange.

  I tried out the CMOS battery, I took out the main battery and just used the AC/DC adapter, but the same thing happens.
