MS Picture manager

Had the infamous G.S. sell me a disc of Windows 7 Home Edition Premium for a HP laptop crashed. They said that Picture Manager was on the disk. Tried the look up and search displays only not on the computer.  Well I can't, doesn't show any program of MS on H.P. Where can I find or not on the disk. If Yes, where is the best place to get it without having to pay and arm and a leg?  Thanks for the help!

Not sure where you got the option "change of name".

To rename a picture in Microsoft Office Picture Manager
you just click with the right button on the thumbnail and choose Rename
in the menu. Rename the pane opens on the right
of the screen and enter your new name / OK.

The Remove option is just above to rename... Is it possible
that you may have removed the photo? Take a look

  • Changing the default settings for printing in Office Picture Manager

Anyone know how to change the default setting for printing in Office Picture Manager?

I have a user who clams that when they try photo printing settings in Office Picture Manager has been configured to print bac2 and paper 4 x 6.  Now when it prints, it must use the drop-down list boxes to tell it to print from bac2 and paper 4 x 6.
I changed the default settings of the printer to print from the bac2 and use paper 4 x 6, but they must still use the drop-down list boxes in Picture Manager.
    Thank you!

Although I maded the changes to the properties of the Windows printer I had to do that to solve the problem.

    To solve the problem:

    1. once in the print of the image window there is a link 'Options '.... "at the bottom right.

    2. once it's a click a print settings window that opens there. You will need to click on the link 'printer properties '.

    3. now the printer Document Properties window appears. Change of Source paper and media here.

    4. click on the OK button and now it's good to go.

  • How to open a. File TIFF using Microsoft Office Picture Manager?

For some reason, the program by default-Set associations will not replace Quick time.  I can't open a tiff file.  I have Itunes & Quick Time player installed.  I want to open the files using Microsoft Office Picture Viewer tiff and I set my default to open tiff and tif files in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.  However, when I click on a tiff file to open it, the system tries to open using Quick Time Viewer and then I get a white screen with "done" at the bottom.  When I uninstall QuickTime, tiff files will open as expected in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.  How ideas keep Quick Time installed and still be able to open tiff files?

    I found a solution.

    Go to regedit.

    Search: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT Type\image/tiff

The named CLSID value just right-click and choose Remove.   ("CLSID" = "{4063BE15-3B08-470D-A0D5-B37161CFFD69}")

    Click Yes to confirm.

{4063BE15-3B08-470D-A0D5-B37161CFFD69} is the QuickTime ActiveX module.

    Problem solved.

I do not pretend this as my own work, thanks to Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP
