MS Vista recover my iTunes songs

Running a Windows Vista Home premium: I have iTunes in two different users. Most of my songs are in the administrator user profile. Last week, I realized that I can not enter the administrator user. When I try, I get "User profile Service logon failure" "could not load the user profile. My user normal profile I especially use works fine including the iTunes with the songs there!

So far, I created a new administrator user profile in the hope of transferring iTunes, including songs from the old to the new. Using the procedure described in "Fix a user profile corrupt" for windows Vista, but I can't find the iTunes in the former user of the administrator.

How can I find my old songs that are my own CD and move them to my new user to the administrator?

Looks like your only question is to know how to find the user's iTunes files. In general, there is a folder in the folder iTunes music user.

General notes: iTunes no longer supports Windows Vista. AVG Antivirus was tends to corrupt user profiles.

    All the solutions out there?

My guess is that there is something odd about these songs MP3 files, iTunes does not like (and also affects playback on the iPhone).  No matter how it is added to the iTunes library, or through your music to iCloud library (for unloading), the problem persists.  When the song is, iTunes doesn't have a problem with the AAC to Apple Server version because it's a totally different file.  But if you convert to AAC format using iTunes, iTunes uses the MP3 file of source with this problem.

If you open the MP3 file using QuickTime Player (right click file and Open with-> QuickTime Player), he plays the song all along.  If so, use the command in the menu bar (for QuickTime Player) to the file-> export-> iTunes.  The song is converted to AAC and added to your iTunes library.  See if this version is played throughout in iTunes.

  • Can I recover corrupted iTunes media files via iTunes game?

I store my movies and music to iTunes on a separate hard drive. This HARD drive has just damaged. I thought that backs up files on Time Machine (which is on another separate hard drive) would allow me to recover songs, but this doesn't seem to be the case (begging the question - what is Time machine?).

iTunes shows me always the albums I have in my library, but of course cannot locate the real tracks.

So, can I sign up for iTunes game to repopulate the lost files?

You must set the Time Machine to back up any connected external hard drive.  The default setting for Time Machine is to back up the complete internal drive, but not a connected external volumes.  If Time Machine is set to save the volume of external hard drive with your support of iTunes, you can "go back in time" to a backup state when these files are not corrupt and restore them on another volume.

iTunes game "corresponds to" or upload your library iTunes music to iCloud, to create your iCloud library.  You can then download songs from your music to iCloud library in your local iTunes on the Mac.  But you must already have an iCloud music library with your songs.

The songs that were purchased from the iTunes Store can be downloaded again on the iTunes Store purchased free of charge screen.  To view the purchase screen, click your name at the top of the iTunes window, and then select purchases.

When I try to play one of the songs in Windows Media Player, I get the following message:

M4A is not a compatible format. The simple solution
is to convert .m4a files in .wma format and
    then import into Movie Maker.

The following free Converter works for me...

    Free Mp3 Wma Converter

(FWIW if you install the converter, you can uncheck

the CD Ripper and Easy MP3 Cutter)

I joined just thinking... the free VLC Media Player

  • iTunes songs on the iPhone only organized by artist

My iPhone just 6Plus upgraded to the 10.0.1 iOS.  Now, my iTunes library shows only the songs organized by artist.  There is no way for me to change that.  I tried to connect my phone to my mac and change the 'View' to sort by the name of the song, but it still doesn't work.  No matter if I look at the songs or playlists, everything is sorted by artist name.  How can I change this?

Settings > music > songs of sorting & Albums > choose "by title".

I just bought an iPhone (August 2016) and was surprised to find that the album Songs of Innocence by U2 has also appeared as my single purchase. • Path missing iTunes Songs (already tried script)

    Hello

recently I moved all of my itunes library to my new computer (Mac-> Windows), I noticed that some songs bad location path, and I discovered that the songs with special characters (like aeioun, Yes, I'm Spanish) are those who have suffered from this problem.

ITunes can't find the songs automatically, said that almost the 2000 song are not and nothing else.

I'm used to manage xml and looked up in the itunes library xml file and to know that these songs with special characters did not alter his path to the new properly, they keep the way old-macintosh, something like "http://localhost \volumes\macintosh\music\blablabla\".

The thing is, I tried out solved with samsoft script, but the suggested path does not match my only current. I saw this script search paths similar to what itunes automatically creates, but in my case, I made my own path model (something like \music\%artist%\%artist%-%year%-%album%\%artist% - track - %title%).

In my xml library I set paths, but when I tried to rebuild the itl file, missing tons of songs and I got crazy once more.

Is it possible to code in hard itl file to replace this wrong paths? It's just replace 'file://localhost/volumes/macintosh/Music' ' file://localhost/D: / Music»

I think about modifying the script samsoft to correspond with my custom path, but I am a junior Javascript coder, and I have no idea how this VBS script works.

    Thank you!

  • try to download already downloaded iTunes songs

When I buy new songs and they begin to download, they are in a queue behind several songs previously downloaded which start to download again. There is no logic for the songs in the queue, they are just random songs from different albums already purchased. My problem is that I can only pause downloading these songs, I can't get rid of them except by allowing them to download completely and then their removal from iTunes files. Probably would not be serious, but I rely on very limited and very expensive download limits each month.

Can I get rid of these songs before you start to download automatically again?

In iTunes > Preferences > store disable all options for automatic downloads. Use iTunes - official Apple support or report a problem with the links in your account history and ask the iTunes Store support team to reset your download queue.

  • iTunes songs show downloaded without match.

I made digital copies of vinyl albums. These albums are also on the iTunes store, but in my library, it shows downloaded and unmatched.

It would be great if I could get these to say matched, I could then download the songs too familiar "pops and clicks".

Anyone know of a solution for this?

    Hello

ITunes game uses a noise footprint of the tracks for a match. Because there is rumble, surface noise, POPs and clicks, it is unlikely to find a match. Even if you have some software like Audacity or click on repair for the cleaning of the vinyl, the chances of getting a match are slim.

  • unchecked active iTunes songs after launch (without asking)

Whenever I run iTunes the first time after starting the PC, it is active about 300 songs I listened long (so I disabled, but they were always in my library).

It seems to be watched iTunes all my purchases and activated/checked again without asking.

When I restore my library, it takes only a few seconds, and the songs are here again.

I unchecked all automatically download the settings and so on, I also disabled Genius.

I don't want to delete my songs, I want to stay disabled. I also fear that they came upward then as checked and downloadable. I also uninstalled all components of iTunes in the right order, but it did not help either.

I don't know what to do, and I have not found anyone else with this crazy problem.

This seems to be a 'feature' of the current generation. If all goes well it will be set to the following. At the same time making a playlist of tracks that should be deselected, so if they are checked once again you can ctrl-click all checked in the list to uncheck all the.
