MSE does not complete its scan - blue screen of death

my laptop has been running and playing pandora through chrome. I came back to it and saw a blue screen of death. immediately, I restarted and opened the MSE. went to "Refresh" for the latest definitions. ran the scan. at about 99% completion, the machine restarts and says windows (I'm using win 7 pro) is not stopped correctly. I start again normally and try to re-run the MSE. same thing happens to about 99% scanned, it restarts and says the same thing all over again. I noticed that my MSE changes color at the top of the screen to yellowish and said that your computer is not protected.

Help, please. Thank you, Steve * address email is removed from the privacy *.

Hello

  1. What is the exact and full blue screen of death error?
  2. Do you have other security software installed on the computer? You have installed don the computer registry cleaners?

If you have another antivirus software installed, then the most likely reason for this problem is that you have installed entirely or partially on the PC security software conflict. Remove all other computer security software. You may need to use a cleaning tool to remove your previous security software.

Also, make sure that the PC clock and calendar are correct.

If this isn't the case, then you will have to uninstall/reinstall MSE.

You should be able to remove MSE of the control panel. Uninstall problems see: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect_start/uninstalling-mse/a63b8c4b-58ed-437e-8086-fa08d80725a4

It is best if you restart the computer to make sure that uninstall is finished.

You can download a new Installation of MSE file from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5201

Please return to the State of the question.

  • T500 fingerprint reader does not load at startup (blue screen)

    I have 2081CTO T500. Provided natively with Vista Home, but I reinstalled with XP Pro SP3. All the latest updates are installed both drivers and windows (as of March 12, 2010).

    I've had this laptop for about a year and the fingerprint reader to work properly. A few months ago it stops working for some reason any and I stoppped using it. I finally had time to reinstall the whole windows and installed. It worked well for about a day, but today I was using my computer and it suddenly froze unanswered. I turned off and when I walk back, the fingerprint sensor would not load and a blue screen came up with an error that a failure to boot and windows kept just restart at this stage and display the same message. I password protected journal and had loaded all ten fingers to use during the connection (not the Welcome screen).

    I tried power cycling, did not work. Subsequently had to connect via safe mode, disable the fingerprint sensor to connect and then reboot in normal mode to be able to connect without the Blue error screen. I tried updating the BIOS, did not work. Reinstalled the sensor of fingerprint, again the same problem. I also reset the fingerprint sensor in the BIOS and reinstalled the software, but still the same problem. Basically now I use the home screen and in this way, that I don't get the Blue error screen. It just continues to show as if the sensor is train load, never happens, so I just put a password and enter. I remember that some months ago, when I had a problem, it was similar. It worked fine, but when I turned off the Welcome screen, I suddenly had a problem with the sensor that was not resolved until I reinstalled windows. Now that I think of it, it could be the same disabling the Welcome screen things screwed up again.

    Could someone please explain what is happening? Why are there so many problems without the windows welcome screen? I know that the sensor works very well because when I am trying to scan my fingers or even connect to Thinkpad security systems, it works fine. It's just windows connect you that is screwed. I can't go back again to work at least with the Welcome screen. I'd appreciate any help.

    After a few bars, I isolated the problem to the personal firewall. I changed the settings and fingerprint reader worked very well. I hope this will help someone in the future.

  • USB-6009 not recognized after the blue screen of death

    I have two devices USB-6009, used with NOR-DAQmx and Labview to make some analogue simple analogue input and output.  The USB box - two 6009 were previously works very well on this PC.  Recently, I got a blue screen of death, associated with a different USB device to (non - OR) connected to the PC.  I not save the information of the blue screen of death.  When I restarted the computer, the USB-6009 devices were no longer recognized by Labview / MAX.  The Green LED on the USB - 6009 s do not come.  The USB - 6009 s appear in the Device Manager of Windows with a yellow exclamation point ("Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device").  If I connect the USB-6009 case to another PC, MAX recognizes them on this PC, and I get the usual flashing green LED.  If I connect another USB-6009 (never connected to this PC), I get a green LED solid, and, says Windows cannot load the driver.

    Hi Rose,

    · What is the error displayed in the blue screen?

    · Provide the full error message with the error code.

    · What is the service pack installed on the computer?

  • Acer laptop does not start after the blue screen

    After I got a blue screen (flashed by too fast to see the error message) when I try to reboot my acer 5610Z laptop computer with vista home edition, usually nothing happens at all. sometimes windows is trying to run the Startup Repair tool, then crashes and only a cursor flashing at a black screen.  Tried to open the case and clean the Fan & Heatsink heat to air without effect.

    The blue screen came a few days after I started using a new USB mouse, but the fan seemed to get high a few days earlier.

    But I noticed it will make the road to startup repair only if the battery is in, and never if only the power cord is attached.  Also, if I let the computer sit for several days, it is more likely start (even though he never passed from the Startup Repair).

    1. try the system restore.

    2. try to do a startup repair disk.

    3 acer Recovery Options.

    4. contact Acer.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    See you soon.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:
    As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.
    As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the link provided and make a bootdisk of it.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
    This error message can point to a hardware or software that causes this problem. If the computer restarts after the Blue error screen, disable the automatic system failure restart option allows to capture the error message on blue screen.
  • I downloaded an update and restarted my computer, received the blue screen of death shortly after the computer restarts. Now it does not start
    I don't know when the downloaded update, the computer has been restarted on September 10, 2010 to install updates. Shortlyl once the computer is restarted, I got the blue screen of death.  with the details of error like:
    Stop 0 x 000000050 (0 x 000000000000000, 0xFFFFF88001DCAE4, 0xFFFFF8A00B490027, 0 x 00000000000002) do not know if the number of zeros is exactly right in one of those, but it's super frustrating.
    I tried to restart my computer in repair as recommended (get blue screen of death), I tried to reboot normally, loop just restart procedures asking if I want to restart in repair mode.  I tried SafeMode (BSOD), I tried to restart with last working restart (restart loops), I tried to choose the "Computer repair" BSOD I tried a diagnosis and all past.
    Help!
    Thank you.
    So yes actually hear nothing helped me.  Seems that, given that the computer is not stopped correctly and my hard drive was not recognized there starting the cycle upward or give me the BSOD.  Put it in my Ubuntu CD spare which I've had since my last PC hard drive became corrupt and force back across my hard drive.  After doing this, I was able to do a boot repair, who led for the BSOD.  Not sure how that actually fixed, lost about 10 hours of my day.  So I guess I can chalk up to Microsoft and a reminder on why I should buy Mac for now on... an update shouldn't really cause such problems.
    I get that not everyone has the same PC, so it is difficult to tell if an update is bad, but he should not do this and if an update is the cause of a certain segment of consumers who are updating must be taken down for everyone, or at least the users with the configuration that is known to have problems with an update.
    Problem is solved, had to go back to a previous version of good boot where I have not install updates again.  Now, I'm trying to understand who was was bad, so I can leave my computer knows to ignore.
    Nice day.
  • Firefox does not completely uninstall
    All begins innocently enough that these things don't...
    I use a Dell Dimension 5150 XP Pro with Service Pack 3.
    When I finally (recently) has decided to install Firefox, I tried integrates with Win IE 8. I don't think not of what add-on I installed it, but it worked well with the exception of a single Web site. The password box automatically fills with an unknown password that disappears when clicked on. Normally, in the past with IE 8, when I typed the username and my password, it overrode the outstanding. It worked well once in Firefox, but after that the default password overrides mine and I can't access the site properly (it can be seen, just no model no downloads, poster or comment on the son or previews of the threads can be seen).
    So, I used CCleaner to completely erase history, the Cache, passwords, Firefox etc. That did not work. I uninstalled Firefox from the control panel in Windows XP Pro (but the case was still under Program Files and Firefox Mozilla desktop icon was always on the desk.
    So, I uninstalled Firefox, then uninstalled IE 8, restarted the computer and reinstalled IE 8 and always noticed that the Mozilla folder and icon were always on/in the computer. I also disabled MS Silverlight in Firefox (I never used in for example)
    So, how to separate Firefox IE 8 and how to replace the default password?
    Thanks in advance.
    COR - el,
    First of all, let me thank you for all the time and effort to try to solve this problem (actually, two of them).
    After several hours, making several system restores, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and I.E. 8, I finally decided to spend $129 (later it became $199 for software support coverage a year with Dell.) We spent about 2 hours (with the help of the free 30 day trial of Revo Uninstaller Pro to completely uninstall Firefox and I.E. 8 (with CCleaner and 3 Firewall de Comodo spyware blocking software I had installed on the computer.
    The main problem was in fact due to having the ClickFree of Iomega software installed as a backup of the system in the case of the blue screen of death. As an external hard drive, I can start the USB port with the software window. Now, I thought that as causing a problem, because to have it installed with the password to work and before installing Firefox. Also, I haven't had not updated of software (by plugging in the running) for some time. It runs in the background, in order to keep the changes as they are made, but as I said, I was refreshed (make a backup update) for some time.
    Regarding the password, wellllll... There is a saying about mercury retrograde (which excludes the communication and transport) havoc with the electronics and communications (letters or emails are sent or will be delayed or be sent to the wrong recipient or misread). When I went to type the password which ended in "ing" I had misread to read "uh." I can actually read enough good - usually - but not this time. DUH!
    If the problems are solved. Thank you once again. Your advice will not lose. I went to the links you provided and saved the pages for later use.
  • I left my computer on overnight, (playing the music on a youtube video) and I woke up to a blue screen of death. What does that mean?
    So I went to sleep last night I left my computer on playing a Youtube video that was about 45 minutes. When I woke up and looked at my computer screen, I discovered that I had the blue screen of death. Was this a memory problem? My computer could not handle being on all night?
    I have Microsoft Security Essentials, I scanned my computer (quick scan) and it found no virus. Should I just not leave my computer all night next time?
    I'm moving your message to the performance and maintenance of the forum for Windows section.
    The cause of the BSOD is generally not a virus. Details of the BSOD, including the potential cause, could be able to be determined on the basis of the error information. It could be hardware, memory, overheating, etc..
    Hi Srimotu,
    ·         You get an error message or an error code?
    ·         Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
    Follow these methods.
    Method 1: Try starting it in last known good configuration.
    Note: After the clean boot for troubleshooting, return the computer to a Normal startupmode.
    Method 3: Disconnect external devices such as printer, scanner, etc. and try to start.
