MSM765 Team: port source MSMS765 team of SNMP

Hi all

We have a team of controllers MSM765. We use the ports of controllers in the following ways:

  • Internet port: only for the management
  • LAN port: use for production, the traffic of users

Our network management tool (SNMP querys, etc.) is in the network of EHF Internet port of the team. The team sends traps SNMP with LAN Port as a source. We do not want to open any type of comunicarion between the 'Network management' and 'network of Production '.

It is possible to change the source port the SNMP Traps generated by the team of the LAN Port to the Internet port?.

Best regards.

Hello

My problem must be linked with the routing, as my default route points to a gateway in my LAN Port. I can solve it by adding static routes for networks explicits (hosting the SNMP servers) pointing to the gateway on the Internet Port.

Best regards.

Having a configuration switch to a local port (source Gi0/14 - destination Gi0/20) SPAN.

    It works very well.

Now, I need to send copies to * another * switch to that same destination port.

I know I can do RSPAN to do this, but I have two questions.

    1. any question of having two different litters towards one destination?

    2. each switch between the source switch and destination should any config? Or just the source button?

    Mark,

You need to use a vlan between the switches to move the span.

See this guide for an example of a config

  • SG 300-28: duplication of port: loses the network connectivity of the destination host

    Hello

We have two SG 300-28. On one of them, I have configured the port mirroring because a host behaves strangely. When I create the mirror, the host connected to the destination port is not available any longer, for example, it does not meet a ping. Port source packages appears on the port of destination, but no package intended to be the host itself. East - this behaviour right? I agreed that the host on the destination port is always accessible, as it would be without the mirror.

    Bernd

    HE Bernd,

Yes. This behavior is just. That's how Port Mirroring works. The host connected to the Destination port loses its connectivity and it can act as a monitoring device using programs like WireShark (and monitor packages coming to and from the Source port (s)). All configurations on the destination port are substituted.

Let me know if you need assistance,

    HTH,

    Vijay

2 - a target port can receive traffic from multiple ports?

    Hello Alejandro,

This switch supports only 1 session - i.e. the 1 target mirror port. SRW and EMS/EMS switches can have up to 8 ports source while SLM switches can have up to 4 ports from source. In any case, there is only one target mirror port.

  • IOS NXOS VPC PORT channel

    Hello

I have a pair of Nexus 5 K in an area of the VPC and few 2960's as members of the VPC, with a port to the domain channel.

    Topology is:

    5K 1 and 5 K 2 in the area of the VPC

    VPC 5 1 K and 5 K 2 to 2960

    2960 a gi0/1 and gi0/2 in 1 port channel

    Gi0/1 5 k 1, gi0/2 5 k 2

I know what I'm going to ask can be completely against the purpose of the VPC, but I'm looking for a way to promote gi0/1 for traffic, rather than balancing on gi0/1 and gi0/2. The reaon for this is I want to take advantage of the absence of loop that provides mail ORDER, but would also like to have a link primary and secondary, as the majority of traffic should in fact go through 5K 1, rather than 5 K 2.

    Any suggestion is welcome.

    Thanks in advance

    Anthony

    Hi Anthony,.

The Cisco NX - OS software load balance traffic across all operational interfaces in a portchannel by chopping the addresses in a numeric value that selects one of the links in the channel. Port channels provides default load balancing. It uses IP addresses, MAC addresses or layer port numbers 4 to select the port-channel-balancing link of the load. The port-channel load balancing uses the source or destination or port addresses, or both the source and ports or destination addresses.

You can configure the mode of load balancing to be applied to all port channels that are configured on all of the device, or the specified modules. Each module configuration takes precedence over the configuration of load balancing for the entire device. You can configure a single mode of load balancing for the whole device, a different mode for specified

modules and another mode of the other specified modules. You can not configure the port-channel load balancing method.

You can configure the type of balancing algorithm used. You can choose the balancing algorithm that determines which Member port to select for the evacuation traffic by looking at the fields of the frame.

Note: The mode of load balancing by default for layer 3 interfaces is the IP source and destination address, and the mode of the load balancing by default for non - IP interfaces is the source MAC address and destination.

The configuration mode, you can try different method of load-balancing,

    port-channel - the balance of the load {dest-ip-port | dest-ip-port-vlan |}

    destination-ip-vlan. destination-mac | destination-port | source-dest-ip-port | source-dest-ip-port-vlan. source-dest-ip-vlan. source-dest-mac | source-dest-port | Source-ip-port | Source-ip-port-vlan. Source-ip-vlan. source-mac | source-port} [number of the module]

To sum up: I can't tell which port would be chosen, it depends purely on image type you send with the combination method of load balancing.

After you change you know also from the command which link takes the traffic.

    NEXUS2-SPAN # show the port-channel - the balance of the charge-transfer port-channel 71 src - ip 1.1.1.1 route dst - ip 2.2.2.2 VLANs 51 2 interface module

Module 2: Missing params will be substituted by 0.

Load balancing algorithm: src - dst ip-l4port

RBH: port id out 0xb0: Ethernet8/8

We can try also to rework the same NLB on the 2960 also. Is it purely depends on the algorithm of load balancing. Below is for 2960 balancing tweaking,

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/switches/LAN/catalyst2960/software/release/12.2_53_se/configuration/guide/swethchl.html

Even after doing this that I wouldn't say 100 percent, he would choose a link.

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you

    Richard.

  • RV180 VPN connects and allows you to browse the files, but falls when opening a file.

Last week, we received our 300Mbps fiber connection. We bought the RV180 due to its high performance, and he manages the speed perfectly.

However, when you set up VPN, I encountered a strange problem.

Establishing a QuickVpn or PPTP is simple and connection is no problem. But I'll be fine. I can communicate with QuickVpn or PPTP and find a NAS or PC directory structure, but when I try to open a file the VPC connection drops.

    I activate the remote management.
I can ping google.com f-l 1472 without fragmentation, so a WAN MTU of 1500 should be ok.
I have tried disabling attack prevention firewall.

I have install the following experience: the firmware update (1.0.2.6), restore the default settings.

Set up the RV180 as follows:

In this experiment, I connect from a remote location, start navigating among directories of the drive without any problems and then open a file, after which the VPN connection falls (or some process breaks down). After the transfer of a few 100 KB blocks the VPN connection.

  • Configure 1141n with 802.11n

    Hello community,

Currently, I'm trying to set up a 1141n (AIR-AP1141N-E-K9) autonomous access point with 802.11n. When I configure the access point for no encryption or aes - ccm encryption I am not able to set up the parameters of speed of dot11n (max. 54 Mbps). In addition, documentation (data sheet, conf IOS guide, getting started) said that the ap has two interface for (dot11radio0) 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (dot11radio1) radio. I am not able to configure the interface dot11radio1. I tried to reset the access point to the default configuration, but this makes no difference. Even with default conf I can't configure dot11n. My question is: what am I doing wrong? Can someone help me?

    Concerning

  • Access via L2L AnyConnect VPN IPSec

I'm trying to connect two ASA 5505s for a IPSec L2L VPN. They can connect, but not pass traffic from the AnyConnect subnet. I've added the config from ASA-2, with the LAN subnet of 192.168.138.0 and a subnet of 192.168.238.0 for AnyConnect client. I'm trying to get the AnyConnect Clients access to the 192.168.137.0 LAN behind ASA-1 at 1.1.1.1. Having both 192.168.238.0 and 192.168.138.0 both access 192.168.137.0 is acceptable. There's probably a lot of cruft in this config, as I've been reading all over forums and docs without much success. Can someone point me in the right direction? : ASA Version 8.2(1) ! hostname asa-wal names name 192.168.238.0 anyconnect-vpn ! It seems good Shawn but I just noticed an error on the asa-wal, you have a vpn-filter applied on the DfltGrpPolicy and since you have not any value defined the strategy of Wal-AnyConnect group then will inherit the DfltGrpPolicy vpn-filter, don't forget that the vpn filters should be applied to the incoming direction, I mean pool resources you want them to have access to. It's the ACL you have for the filter:

NO_NAT list extended access allowed anyconnect vpn - ip 255.255.255.0 everything

This isn't in the inbound direction, increasingly looks like you want to allow access to what it is as long as the traffic is coming from the 192.168.238.0, if that's the case, you can do this:

    attributes of Group Policy DfltGrpPolicy

    VPN-filter no

Do not forget to disconnect and reconnect after the above change...

If you really need to be more specific, allowing traffic for clients then apply the inbound rules, for example:

Your pool is here 192.168.238.0/24 and the local subnet is 192.168.138, to this effect, the 192.168.137 is considered to be local too because of the perspective Anyconnect we'll see in the room even if it is a remote network accessible via a L2L tunnel of the Anyconnect client does not.

The following AS will allow the Anyconnect Telnet client for local networks:

    permit access-list vpnfilt-ra 192.168.238.0 255.255.255.255 192.168.138.0 255.255.255.0 eq 23

    permit access-list vpnfilt-ra 192.168.238.0 255.255.255.255 192.168.137.0 255.255.255.0 eq 23

The following ACE will allow local networks of Telnet for the Anyconnect Client:

    permit access-list vpnfilt-ra 192.168.238.0 255.255.255.255 eq 23 192.168.138.0 255.255.255.0

    permit access-list vpnfilt-ra 192.168.238.0 255.255.255.255 eq 23 192.168.137.0 255.255.255.0

Note that the two first ACE will allow LAN launch connection to the Anyconnect client on any TCP port if he uses a source 23 port while the last two ACEs allow the Anyconnect client connect to networks the on any TCP port if he uses a port source from 23.

    Kind regards

  • 5701na stream 7: Stream 7 & sp72220 Kionix G-Sensor Driver to

    Hello
I've exhausted forums and the web looking for a method to activate the feature of merger of Kionix sensors on my two stream 7 tablets. Everything works very well with 'Win 8.1 with Bing', but the sensors will not successfully install under Win 10. I unpacked the SP72220 package and then unpacked the Installer "setup.exe", which contains the drivers/inf / files/reg entries etc. from batch. But try as I can, the Fusion of sensors Kionix device does not start, instead, it reports an error 10 and remains disabled. You name it, and I tried it. I have re-installed the OS several times, and I've tried the drivers Win 8.1 as well as pilots Win 10. I even downloaded several versions of Kionix and the Internet, always with the same result. I also tried DoubleDriver similar to backup the drivers provided by a Win 8.1 install, then restore to a Win 10 install, but then again, the appliance will not start. I really don't like win 8.1, but if the sensors does not start, then I might well have to go back to the operating system that is installed at the factory.

Has anyone seen elsewhere this behavior, and if yes, do they have a solution? Personally, I think it's something to do with exe or batch files in the package. It took me a while to understand the parameters in batch files, but I think Miss me something with dpinst.exe, wudfupdate, mkdevnode, etc. I'm really at the end of my patience with that, but the tablet will be pretty unusable if the screen does not turn. I fear not install the drivers and the mods reg from the command line, if anyone can help with order of preference. It's going to be something that the installer is missing.

    Thank you.

It turns out that it was both "n" to win 10. Any framework as the Kionix driver needed, simply was not available in the version "n". The driver is installed around the silence, albeit with a prompt, box, but it finished within 10 seconds. Previously, the box opens and you would see the framework for updated driver that passes through all the options, but not install anything. So I'm done with Win 10 Pro 1511 February 2016, the MSDN ISO. The only other annoyance was 8.1 Home Win activation key burned in the BIOS, which caused the Win 10 install to assume it was an upgrade of the home. I created files EI.cfg and PID.txt and thrown on the specified USB port \Sources folder Pro with the VL activation key and everything has worked. Thanks for the comments.

As I turn my macbook pro to El Capitan, I get a black screen after waking up, and then I Force shutdown. I tried several times reset PRAM and SMC, but it won't work. I get the same thing.

On the newspapers I get the same error messages even if I was not using Macbook. Can anyone help please? Thank you.

    Here are my macbook details:

  • How to set up mirroring

Hi, I want to configure port mirroring. Because it's a swtich production, I want to make sure if these steps are correct. Could you help me, please?

    M4100-50 G - POE +.

    Port source 1 and 2

    Destination port 3

    1. in the administration console, go to monitoring and mirroring.

    2. by mirroring Global Configuration, I choose 0/3 as an Interface of Destination. Change the Session Mode to activate.

    3. under the status table, check on 0/1 and 0/2 and change Direction to "Tx and Rx.
    4. click on apply.

    5. go in the 'Maintenance' tab and the 'Save Configuration' checkbox

I understand correct? There will be a downtime? The swtich will be restarted?

    All advice is appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello ttanermori,

It looks good to me, click here for instructions (it will look a little different because of its firmware version). About your questions, is it downtime and restart on activation? As far as I know it should not.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you
