MSN video - adobe Flash concflict

I'm running a HP Pavilion Elite computer with windows 7 64 bit OS with lots of memory, etc.. Everything was fine until a couple of weeks, when I could play more videos MSN is. I just get a black screen with a whirling circle and a small box at the bottom on the screen with the message "Error 2046. A search on the web revealed that it is a problem caused by not having is not the latest version of the Adobe program. I downloaded and installed without result. I finally removed the Adobe program and restarted and all was fine with MSN videos, but I had problems with KM Player and RealPlayer. Download and install the Adobe Reader, these problems disappeared, but now the MSN videos will not play. Tonight, I noticed that there is practically no MSN video, so I hope that the problem is treated. Someone at - it ideas what happens? Thank you.

Well, not to hear anyone (sniff), I'm looking for both day and finally found the solution while on the Adobe site here community:

  • Adobe Flash Player update. Why I don't see tube you videos with Firefox?

    I had this problem for a week now. I can hear the videos but not see images. I went into plugins and update of Adobe Flash Player, but it did not help. Restarted, etc. To return to the form on the page that it is said still Adobe reader must be updated on my windows xp, Adobe said it is up to date. Perhaps this is related to why I can't watch the videos?

    From Firefox 40, YouTube uses many Windows XP users another drive, the HTML5 player. In order to confirm what player is used on the page, you can right click on the video and check the last line of the quick menu (context menu) that appears. (If the menu of Firefox crashes, press and release the Alt key to display the menu of the player.)

    Assuming you get the menu black having HTML5 in the last line, that's your problem. So... what to do about it. Here are two possible solutions:

    (1) use an add-on to force YouTube to serve you the Flash Player

    There are at least two extensions to do this, you only need:

    (2) use an add-on to tell YouTube that you're still under Firefox 39

    (A) install the https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ua-site-switch/ extension which certainly has a confusing interface.

    (B) select and copy the old identification of user agent for Firefox 39:

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0

    (C) while on a youtube.com page, click on the small triangle of drop down menu to au-site-switch and paste the old and then user agent string press ENTER to save it

    (D) may reload YouTube without going through files cached (Ctrl + Shift + r)

    E repeat B & C on https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/ to apply the hack for embedded videos

  • Since firefox has blocked Adobe flash player how can I veiw videos online?

    My computer and the operating system are archaic - xp - and a very old computer, but flash player ran in the past. Firefox blocks any attempt to update adobe flash player citing vulnerability. And yet, they don't give NO option to watch videos on your tube or any other site. What can I do? I click on the box always allow, but Flash Player is still blocked.

    On Windows XP, you can consider using the Extended Support Release - Flash Player 13.0.0.305. New versions of Flash offer features that Windows XP cannot use - features only available in Vista and more recent operating system of Windows.

    Scroll down about 3/4 of the way to the bottom of this page.

    But before you install it, you must first run the uninstall program Adobe Flash to get a clean install of Flash.

  • Update adobe flash player for 17 NPAPI, shows on the adobe site that is installed on the operating system xp, I have windows 7, no sounds or video won't play when using FF

    I've updated the flash 17NPAPI drive 3/20 and now no audio or video will play. Went through all the help the Odobe website which shows the installation but also shows my OS XP, but I have windows 7. The previous version was still appearing in my programs as active 16 X adobe flash player so I deleted a new and thought that the old one would work so well. But still no audio or videos don't play.

    My windows media player works fine, it's just when I get online with firefox that I'm having this problem...

    Thanks in advance for any help

    The ActiveX version is for Internet Explorer.

    Your useragent is displayed as Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1;) WOW64; RV:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 as the NT 5.1 is Windows XP.

    Maybe you run Firefox 36 is the Windows XP compatibility mode.

  • You Tube is not playing video on Firefox with Adobe Flash after the last update

    You Tube and other sites do not play video on Firefox with Adobe Flash after the last update for both. Adobe Flash works on other sites but not You tube and sites that can have embedded videos from You Tube, I'm not sure.

    Adobe Flash not crushed and no error message is visible. All that shows is a black screen for Flash video. Make a right click of the screen shows only a non-interactive 'a film has not loaded' and the clickable link to the home page of Adobe.

    I spent an hour trying things as suggested for past problems similar to this, but none helped.

    I sent sad face, letting you know what I think of the last update for this reason which explains pretty much the same thing, as I have said here.

    I have no other info but if I had a form any entry and queries you I might be able to provide more.

        I think the Flash 12.xx is a phantom. I can't find it on my comp. Only 13.xx shows anywhere but on the Pugins page in Firefox.

    Weird. I have no idea why it does that. Your list of details of the system shows that 13.0.r0 Flash.

    I love firefox videos esp. Much better than the internet explore and chrome. Very stable and smooth. He played very well and then crashed. It says I have to update adobe flash player or adobe flash player is required for video playback, which I have already done several times but it still doesn't appear in my firefox plugins. Have you downloaded the Flash Installer via this page?

    Do you see the Flash plugin in its installation folder?

    You should find the plugin Flash (NPSWF32_11_X_XXX_XXX.dll) file in this folder after you run the installer of Flash:

    If Windows object to save the changes because of permissions, try this way:

    (1) in a window of my computer or Windows Explorer, open this folder:

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

    If this folder does not exist, then you are using 32-bit Windows, and you can open the following folder instead:

    C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

    (Note: this folder exists on Windows 32-bit and 64-bit, but on 64-bit Windows Firefox use the Flash player in the place SysWOW64 folder.)

    (2) check a file named mms.cfg:

    (A) If mms.cfg exists, drag it in your Documents folder , where you can change it without being bothered on administrator privileges

    (B) If there is no such thing as mms.cfg open your Documents folder, right click > new > text file and the name of the new file mms.cfg

    (3) mms.cfg Documents opened in a text editor such as Notepad. Add this on its own line (I have the latter):

    ProtectedMode=0

    Save the file and close Notepad.

    (4) press and hold the Ctrl and the mms.cfg file reglisser to the Flash folder to make a copy, keep the original documents

    This change should take effect the next time you restart Firefox (allow a few minutes for all the Flash of the processes in memory to terminate right out of Firefox).

    A question, people have identified with YouTube in particular is a conflict with some rules for AdBlock Plus. I didn't keep track of the details, but if the problem becomes limited to YouTube, definitely try to make an exception if you use this extension.

    One thing that may have changed this week is that Windows updated recently. Sometimes this process also installs the graphics driver updates at the same time.

    It is a standard orientation that addresses the most common questions:

    (1) disable graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox and Flash

    (A) in Firefox, uncheck the box here and restart:

    Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced > General > "use hardware acceleration when available.

    (B) in Flash, see this article from Adobe technical support: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues

    (2) turn off mode (Win Vista and Win 7 and win 8) protected

  • Since the upgrade, 20 of Firefox and Adobe flash player 11 devour all my CPU during video streaming playback

    Win7 64 bit
    Firefox20
    Adobe Flash Player 11 plugin

    When streaming, information on the Task Manager:

    Flashplayerplugin__11__7__700__169.exe * 32 - use 50% CPU or more

    plugin - container.exe * 32 - consumes 40% of CPU or more

    Using 100% CPU translates the choppy video. I don't think that this heavy use of the CPU was not the case until I upgraded from Firefox13 and Adobe Flash Player 11. I tried without decommissioning, but this does not seem to make a difference.

    Thanks for any help.

  • After you have installed Mozilla Firefox with Adobe Flash Player 11.6 20.0, videos YouTube do not load correctly.

    Videos YouTube has of worked before installing Adobe Flash Player. Once installed the screen flickers, after a second, rewind at the start, then plays normally. This only happens when I use Internet Explorer. I reinstalled Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player several times but nothing seems to work. Decommissioning of Adobe Flash Player does not work either. It seems that Firefox is the problem, but I'm not completely sure.

    You can check for problems with the latest version of the Flash plugin and try these:

    • disable an eventual extension of the browser for Firefox Plugin RealPlayer Record and if installed RealPlayer update
    • disable the safe_mode in Flash 11.3 and later versions
    • turn off hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
  • Embedded YouTube videos work locally, but not after the FTP publishing. Works locally and on the web in all other browsers. Using FF 17.0.1 and Adobe Flash 11.5.502

    Stupid FF?

    The HTML code is as follows:

    <table WIDTH="770" CELLPADDING="0" CELLSPACING="0">
      <tr VALIGN="TOP">
        <td VALIGN="top" ALIGN="left" width="463">
    <object WIDTH="340" HEIGHT="193">
          <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/N6GvuO_9tLY?fs=1?amp;hl=de_DE">
          <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true">
          <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed SRC="http://www.youtube.com/v/N6GvuO_9tLY?fs=1?amp;hl=de_DE" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" WIDTH="340" HEIGHT="193">
        </object>
    </td>
        <td VALIGN="top" ALIGN="left" width="403"></td>
        </tr>
    </table>

    I've experimented on the use of < iframe > instead of < object >. No change. Cache cleared on each attempt.

    Any thoughts?

    If it works in Firefox Safe mode and then disable all extensions (Tools > Modules > Extensions) and then try to find out who is causing by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

    Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

    Alternatively, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.4 leaves work, shows no video even after reinstalling.

    Adobe Flash Player 11.3 r300, and she had stopped showing videos, etc. in Firefox a few days ago. Now, I installed v 11.4 r402 and it still gives the message error "Adobe Flash Player... has stopped working." I uninstalled, downloaded again and reinstalled - with the same result. No video. Firefox Plugin check page shows it installed correctly. All solutions?

    11.3, one of the solutions was to disable protected mode. See this article from Adobe support under the heading of 'Last resort': Adobe Forums: how to fix protected Flash Player for Firefox mode? It still seems to be applicable in Flash 11.4.

    You might also consider back to Flash 10.3. However, some content may require new features of Flash 11.x. This article has the steps: Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - avoid that it happen.

    Close the firefox window, and the installation should continue. Or, press CTRL + ALT + DEL, find firefox.exe in the process and end it by selecting it and pressing del
    Then it should continue. If this isn't the case, close the flash installation window, make sure that firefox is closed, then re - open.
