Muse 2014 contact form - site Internet should be hosted by BC

Hi, does anyone know if muse standard contact forms widget work with Web sites that are not hosted with BC? I know it is planned to change that to the new update of 2014, but what actually happened? Could not find anything in the update of adobe notes.

    As it works on BusinessCatalyst, my best guess is that it's a hosting problem. On your real domain name, I get a not found error when I try to access some jpg files directly (for example: http://danielsmolen.pl/images/wklejony%20obraz%20306%20%C3%97%20321.png), then it is clear that the images are not making it on your server.

    I would do two things:

    (1) take a look at some suggestions in this thread: Images not showing or even accessible after Muse download...

    (2) if these don't work, talk to your client to host and see if they have an idea of what could be the cause of this

    Let us know if these two things do not work.

    My client has a yahoo email address. No, there is no company in the path name. Is it possible to change the php file to make it work?

    Do you mean, the email used for the notification is not on the same domain of the site? It won't matter if the email is not on the field as notification process would still work.

    But please note that php must be supported on the hosting platform.

  • Problem with the Muse Simple Contact widget - subject changing e-mail address

    I built a website for a client, using Adobe Muse, which is hosted by Business Catalyst. On the page of the site contact us I placed an Adobe Muse 'Single Contact' widget/shape with 3 three fields: name, Email and Message. The form worked as expected until the end of December 2014. Since then, the information in the 'Email' field are changed.


    The site has four different e-mail accounts through Business Catalyst. For the sake of discussion to call them:

    [email protected]

    [email protected]

    [email protected]


    The Messages from the Simple of Muse's Contact form are sent to [email protected] .  When emails are displayed in Business Catalyst "Webmail" e-mail address that was entered in the field "E-mail" from Simple Contact Forms does not appear in the field "from". Instead, the "from" field shows that the e-mail was sent from may[email protected] regardless of what was concluded, by the sender in the Email of the Contact single form field. It don't make any difference this provider of e-mail address is entered in the field - AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, Roadrunner, etc - they are all changed to [email protected]


    Similarly, when the client tries to respond to the request of the customer the field 'To' is filled with Mail-4@website not the sender e-mail address is entered in the field "Email" in the form of Simple Contact of Muse.


    If I changed the form of Simple Contact of Muse so that mail is performed either [email protected] Gold [email protected] the problem exists on these accounts as well.


    I don't know where the problem lies, so I do research here and in the forum Business Catalyst. Does anyone have an idea what could be the cause and how to fix it?


    Is making it too difficult for the customer to meet the needs of their customers. I am really against a wall on that and have an angry customer who is willing to walkaway of Muse and Business Catalyst.

    The e-mail field you see in BusinessCatalyst is not filled by the customer in the e-mail of the form field.

    As far as I understand it, it is the e-mail ID used to publish the site through Muse. So change 'to' email field in Muse won't change 'from' email in British Colombia.

  • Having problems with spam on the contact form

    I typed what one to have Adobe remove so I could type all of this once again to submit it in time. So, this will be the shorter version.

    Basically I get spam from the contact form on a page cataylst hosted non-commercial (hosted by bluehost). I have 35 other muse not sites on other systems and in 8 years never received a spam message. Now with Muse I get several a week only after a few months to live. If something goes really. Adobe has been no help and basically told me they can only help if it's the cataylist Business.

    Have you guys found any ways around that? I know that wordpress sites have apps to add to help him, but I didn't know if Muse was something like this, or code that could be entered to help him. I'd avoid CAPTCHA if humanly possible because I think that they look horrible on the websites and I also want low barriers for customers as possible to present real contacts.

This contained HTML, CSS, and Javascript files. I opened the Index HTML file in dreamweaver. I was looking for a field to change to change where the email will be sent to you once the form has been sent. However, I couldn't find any area where this could be done. When I fill out the contact form on this site and I want to send there is "server error". Thougt Polish Polish language sites servers work well (www.esafety-solutions.pl). Server (1 & 1) provider says I have problem with a code, but not with the server. Can you help me?

    There is an image on the contact form that is causing this problem (logo - bg2.png).

    Please adjust the dimensions of the image and the contact form will be editable.

    I would like to summarize, you don't waste time. Order form the Muse worked on the smtp Protocol, you need two things: 1) if traffic is important, you will need your own SMTP server. You should buy software (public SMTP is not reliable), being able to install and configure.     I worked through the tutorial intro to Muse (where you set up the site of the Katie bakery) and published, Muse, as a temporary site to Business Catalyst. But in this area, the Send button does not work.

    Update: I just tested it again, by adding a new form Widget to another page of the tutorial site. I just copied the default form (name, Email, Message fields) and placed value on the Menu. Then I republished on the site and re-tested the submit button. And now, the new Send button in the page Menu works and also the submit button on the Contact page (from this tutorial).

    I don't know if the assets of the tutorial were corrupt so that the original send button wouldn't work, or is it add a second button send the first button to "wake" another page Submit or if Adobe changed something on their servers during the night to allow to the Submit-button. I know, it's that one change, he works now as I expected to work.
