Music DVD Maker

When you use DVD Maker, he plays only ONE song. No matter that the song or what order I put them in, it only plays the first song, and the rest of the film is without music. Any suggestions?

Hi Michelels,

  • What is the file format of the audio files?
  • You try to burn the DVD by adding audio files?
  • Have you added the creation of DVD video?

You can access the link below and follow the steps to burn the DVD.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/burn-a-DVD-video-disc

If the audio is in MP3 format, try to convert it to a .wma or .wav. format and try to add to the creation of DVD and check if it helps. Also, make sure that the audio file you are trying to add to the creation of DVD is not well protected against copying.

You can also access the link below where some known users similar problem and have been able to fix it by converting the MP3 file to a format of diggerent.

  • Windows DVD Maker said "impossible to crΘer a DVD clip" when I add music

I can add my photos and two of the four songs that I want to use for my slide show, but when I try to add one of the other two songs, I get an error message saying "cannot create an extract DVD" and I can not also burn the DVD.  It works very well with two other songs.  I just bought 3 of the 4 songs at the same time today to itunes, so I don't know what is the cause.  Any ideas?

More than likely it is a problem of compatibility.

  • Windows DVD Maker Burns not part any video of the film, I have a black screen in the middle of the music and titles...

I made a movie in Windows Movie Maker using film 8 mm which was transferred to the files. The film came out great but when I go to 'release', or burn to dvd, it says Windows Movie Maker will save file and open it in creation of DVD to burn/publish.  About halfway through the movie, there is no 8 mm video, you can see all the titles, and hear the music that I edited in but no video.  I cut the video in half thinking there was too much data, I burned my movie with no other programs running, I changed all the transitions and titles in thinking that you might have a glitch.  I have burned about 10 films try something different each time without success. Help!

    Hi girl Jeffs.

I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: This question could be associated with video filters in windows movie maker:

Create a movie with reporters off and then try to publish

To turn off the filters, follow these steps:

    In windows movie maker

    1. click on Toolsand then click Options.

    2. click on the compatibility tab.

    3. to turn off a filter, clear the check box next to the name of the video filter.

  • How reinstall/repair Windows DVD Maker? (Win 7 Home Premium) 'Add music' does not work

I recently moved my music on an external hard drive folder to exclude images during the backup. When I went to make a video of photos and music with Mindows DVD Maker (supplied with Windows), I found there is no function to 'Point' the program to the location of the music files. I brought back them to the location of origin, but when I go to 'ADD Music' button is not take me to get music files. I have a Windows disc or whatever it is with Windows DVD Maker Program on it. Will I need to buy a drive for Win 7 Windows to re - install this program?  A disc of Windows 7 will allow me to programs of "repair"?

  • Windows DVD Maker - a section will not play music

I used Windows DVD Maker to create a photo slideshow. I downloaded music and for some reason there is a break in the music after the second song. In the end, the last sang the fade in unfinished is not because there are not enough audio files. It works wonderfully for previews, until I checked the box to get the match audio and video to the top of the calendar. I tried to delete all the audio files and download them once again, but this is the same area without noise. I also "unchecked" to have the photos and audio to the height.

    Hi Jill,

    1. which is the file format of the audio file? What is .mp3?

    2. it worked before?

There could be some compatibility issues when playing .mp3 files in Windows DVD Maker.

You try to add another file in DVD Maker and check if it works.

Method 1: Check if the audio and video filters are causing this issue.

  • Silences music with DVD Maker

I followed the instructions carefully, but while the images show admirably, there are long gaps between the selections of music. And the show ends with a piece of unfinished music.

    Is there a solution?

Is it possible that the program is damaged and cannot be "re-installed"?

    Hello
Thanks for the reply. I use Windows DVD maker - and following the instructions that you have accessed.
As a test, I tried to create the identical slideshow on another computer - with the same results. Here's what I discovered on new events:
In one case the .wma file was not represented at all, and the 'silence' is the length of this file. The other silence followed an .mp3 file played beautifully, but took a long time to close. After that I gave up and deleted these two files, the slide show was created (with 12 music files) and ended with a perfect timing.
It remains a mystery why the DVD Maker has problems with some music files. But in my case, until the mystery is solved, I'm glad to use only music files working.
This can be useful for other posters dealing with the same frustration.
    Thanks again for your response.
    Kind regards
    Grandpa

As for the red color... x which indicates that your source files have been
moved or deleted. Movie Maker does not keep a copy of the files,
It simply records the path. If the files are still available, you can
Click on the red Xs and access files to restore the path.

The problem with DVD Maker could be caused by incompatible or damaged
source files. You add music? If the music is MP3 that can be
the problem. The safest formats for the source files are listed in the

I was wondering if I could download it my Windows Movie Maker in another free DVD file, making the software and if you have any suggestions?
    Thank you

Last reply first... No, are the Movie Maker project files
not compatible with other video editing software.

You are running Windows or Vista Movie Maker 6
    Live Movie Maker?

It is possible that your project is too complex for
your system resources but it is more than likely
some of your files source (Photos, video Clips,
Audio clips) are not fully compatible with Windows
    Movie Maker.

Several formats are apparently compatible with
Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

    Photos - bmp
    Video - wmv
    Audio - wav, wma, wmv

Conversion to formats compatible before importing
in Movie Maker may be the solution.

There are many converters available on the net... some
    free... some detail.

The following freeware converter is just one example:

Restore point before installing software or updates)

    http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Format_Factory
(the 'direct link' is faster download)
(the file you want to download is: > FFSetup290.zip<>
    (FWIW... installation..., you can uncheck
('all' boxes on the final screens)
    (Windows XP / Vista / 7)

First, you will need to decompress the file or just open the
    Drag > FFSetup290.exe< out="" of="" the="">
and drop it on your desktop. To install left click.

Next, after the download and installation of Format
Factory... you can open the program and
left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)
    are converted)

Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

Select "all to WMV" / OK...

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

    Good luck...
