Music files will not appear on Media Player

I downloaded a few songs that are bonus, either to a store or Japanese bonus tracks exclusive track.  I put all the information and initially, they were to be seen with the rest of the album.  But for some reason, they show now.  If I click on it in Windows Explorer, they play and it shows the album cover.  But for some reason it won't put them with the other songs on the album.

If you want to, try to copy all your files, (do not copy the BlackBerry system such as files .crypt files) format the card and copy again.

  • music file will not play in second hard drive double click Error "" the requested operation requires a rise ".

Original title: music file won't play second hard drive by double click.

    Windows 7 ultimate/64

I have a second hard drive on which I store my music files. If I open a player (Foobar is what I use now) and open the music file in the program, he plays very well, since the second HD.

But if I double click on the music file (.mp3, usually), I get the message:

"The requested operation requires a rise."

I think it should open in the player by default when I do that.

I remember well, it wasn't the case when I started to use this computer (it's fairly new), while something might have changed.
I have the .mp3, .wav etc all default extensions for the Foobar player program.

I went through elaborate measures to appropriate the entire disk and have granted full permissions for me as a user, following to the letter one of the many sites of the detailed instructions for this operation. But there is no help in sight.

So I can let my reader opens a music file leave a second drive, but I can't call him by double click or click right/context citing the player. When I do that, nothing happens, but I don't get the message "requires a rise."

Every time I think that I am getting to know Windows 7, something like this happens. Avoid to receive life dull, of course.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I've pretty much exhausted my own attempts.

Update: I think I've solved the problem. I have no idea that what caused it, but here's what fixed it:

1 uninstalled Foobar with usual Control Panel uninstall
2A through the startup disk everything and delete folders or files with the name "foobar" in them.
3 did the same for the registry (creating a point of restoration first, of course)
    4 restarted
    5 download and install Foobar.

    Yes.

    Works very well.

A big thank you to all who responded.

  • Media Player will not work "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the required video codec is not installed on your computer."

I currently have Windows 8.  However, when I try to play a seminar online on the internet, I get the following message is displayed:

Windows Media Player can not play the file because the required video codec is not installed on your computer.

Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this problem?

    Please and thank you!

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Community forums.

I understand that you are not able to play a Webinar on the windows computer using Windows Media Player 8.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

1 you get an error code or the name of the codec to install?

    2. are you able to play other files with Windows media player?

    3. What are the file format of the multimedia files that you are not able to play using Windows media player?

    4. are you referring to the video file saved using Webinar?

This problem is caused if the file format is not supported by windows media player.

Codec compresses or decompresses media files. Windows media player uses codecs to play and create media files.

See the link below for the types of files supported by windows media player.

    https://support.Microsoft.com/kb/316992?WA=wsignin1.0

You can also refer to a link to find out what codecs are installed on your computer.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/codecs-frequently-asked-questions#codecs-frequently-asked-questions=Windows-8

    Additional information:

See the link below if you receive a playback audio codec error but video does not play when you play files multimedia in Windows Media player 11, as shown in the link also applies to Windows Media player 12.

  • I can't delete music files duplicate of the windows media player library

somehow, I have two of each song (different transmission speeds) on my wmp. Library. I have a lot of files. IM simply trying to delete all the songs in double with higher throughput. I think that sounds better right lower bitrate? If I have to delete them individually, it will take all day! Please can you hlp model?

    Hi kari skeins.

You can re-create the database of Windows Media Player and see if that fixes the problem. Follow these steps:

    (a) output Windows Media Player.

    (b) click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

(c), select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    (d) restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) output Windows Media Player.

    (b) click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoftand then click OK.

    (c) select the folder Media Player and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    (d) restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

I don't know if it's important but I have problems with who is on an external hard drive. Looks like a software issue, but I don't know how to do the update. Thanks for any help you can give.

As an experiment... it may be worth trying to copy a

As for the sound issue... it may be worth trying to install

  • Synchronization results pane will not 'clear' in Media Player 11

The first time I have connected my Walkman mp3 player to Windows media player 11, the default setting means that media player started to synchronize the content of my library to your walkman.  I stopped it and the parameters are now on the manual synchronization, but will not erase the results of synchronization pane.  If I want to synchronize a single album, the synchronization process will try and carry on the synchronization of all the contents of the library even if the boxes are not checked.  How can I clear the results of the synchronization pane please, so I just sync what I sync? Thank you

    Hello kippaxblue,

To transfer the song or album on your MP3 player, you must set the timing to the manual setting.

If you have already set the manual synchronization parameter and I want to erase the list of synchronization so that you can add new albums or tracks, here's what you need to do:

    1. open Windows Media Player (the program should already be open if the sync list is complete, although).

    2. click on the "Sync" button at the top of the program. The sync list is displayed on the right side of Windows Media Player.

    3. click on the "Sync list" option in the upper left corner of the sync list. Options of down.

    4. Select 'Clear list'. The Windows Media Player sync list and then fade.

  • WMP music files will not play

I recently did a system restore and all my music files have been backed up on CD. After the restoration, I copied and pasted the files music mu. Now it shows all my files but the habit of playing. A msg comes up and says that WMP cannot play because he recognizes "format it was compressed in origiohally." All of my music came from a friend who has a MAC. So I think they were MP4. But he did sort of play. I don't know how to convert them or something on the conversion of files. Can someone pleas help me. Thank you very much

    Hi Kevin...

I think that the simplest approach here would be for you to download "iTunes for Windows" from apple. If the files are as you suspect in a format "apple/mac" they play well in the iTunes player... (you need to import into iTunes from your music folder). If you prefer to use WMP, you can use iTunes to create an mp3 version of the files (if only they are not protected against copying).

Get "iTunes for Windows" from the link below and get back to me if you have problems to access to the (or playing) files. (UK link - select the box under the "Download" button.)

    https://www.Apple.com/UK/iTunes/download/

BTW... When you mention "System Restore" do you mean a re-install? You don't have to back up your system restore files - they are not affected... (It is a good policy to back up your files well!)

    Ric's soon.

  • Wmvcore.dll should use primers, but Windows 8.1 will not allow Windows Media Player.  Workaround solution?

Just as the title suggests, it does not load Primer CC because it requires the wmvcore.dll.  It tells me to install Windows Media Player and Windows media player is not available for this version of windows.

Is there a solution for this?

Thank you all for your time.

    I found the solution.

    I am running windows 8.1 N

And apparently, you will need to download a "feature pack" which has all the goodies inside this Prime Minister needs to operate.

    I * think * I got mine here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16546

The computer had to reboot so I lost the original page.  But you get the idea.  This fix worked for me!  Good luck to someone else in need.
