music in double deleteting files

How to remove music files duplicate

I'm going there for a week and won't be online, so you'll have to bear with me on this... Meanwhile try to rebuild the library and see if duplication persists... (This does not remove a track that appears more than once to say, an original album and on the "hits" compilation).

Open WMP - in the bar at the top left of the tab 'game' r - click, then select "Tools - Advanced - Media Library of restoration."

It will take some time to complete depending on the size of your library - she can cure the problem, but if the database is corrupted it can be completely rebuild. I'll have to come back for that one! -Cheers, Ric.

iCloud is a synchronization system, not a storage system. If you delete photos/videos on your iPad, they are removed to iCloud. To increase the available space, go settings/iCloud/Photos and select optimize iPhone/iPad storage.

  • Music in double Windows Media Player

my media player continues to get duplicate songs. I will delet them, and when I turn it back on media playe r my music is duplicatd and then some all over again. How can I stopt it?

    Hey Cami,

Welcome to Microsoft Community where you can find the answers related to Windows.

According to the description, it looks like Windows Media Player creates the duplicate on the music library files.

This problem occurs if the Windows Music Player library is corrupted.

I suggest you try the following methods that will help us solve this problem.

    Method 1:

I suggest you to run the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library.

    See the following Microsoft article.

Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

If you have only a small number of duplicate entries exist.

See the following article to remove duplicate entries from Microsoft's Windows Media Player.

Remove items from the Windows Media Player library:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/remove-items-from-the-Windows-Media-Player-library

If you have a large number of entries in doubles in your library (or if your library is duplicated), to clear the Windows Media Player database and search for the issue.

Try to clear the database of Windows Media Player. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.
    b. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
    c. restart Windows Media Player.
Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.
If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:
    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. If you run Windows 7, click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.
    c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
    d. restart Windows Media Player.
Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Keep us informed on the status of the issue.

With the help of Windows-related issues feel free to post on the Forums of community of Microsoft and we will be happy to help you.

I'm at a total loss about why iTunes has not loaded the music which is in the Media folder. I tried to look upward from this problem, but so far have not found an answer. I do not know what update caused that but like all help to guide me in getting this problem.

    Thank you

Because it is not in the iTunes database files. Drag the automatically add in the iTunes folder or the open iTunes application window.

  • Music by selecting the files/folders

I just bought a sansa clip and I'm having a problem when playing music. I have my music in the music folder and who plays without problem. I want to have a record of Christmas music and tried to put this folder in the music folder. He went to the fine, the record is there, but it is now hanging out with General music I have here. I have the player on shuffle. I have XP SP3 and the latest version of windows media player which I have not used to load the drive, I did slip it drop from the Explorer. If I turn the shuffle off I will (I really want to listen to the songs in the order), but I still cannot see the file on Christmas on players display for select this option? It escapes me?

One more question if I can. I downloaded the latest firmware and I went to play music, and he says that he has no songs. I put all the songs back in the drive and it's fine now, but this will happen whenever I update the firmware?

I appreciate any help I can get.

OK, thanks for the help, I think I'll try the playlist. I'm not a computer genius and I wish they would make this easier.

  • Import of music in WMP = duplicate files?

If I import my music folder (I usually use itunes) in Windows Media Player, WMP would make duplicate files or a separate folder for my music? Thanks much in advance =).

No, WMP will not make duplicate files or a separate folder. It will just scan your music folder and add all the music files, along with their metadata, to the library.

Just make sure that the automatic folder management is disabled, if you do not want this: in the Options of WMP - library , rename files of music using rip music settings and Rearrange music in rip music folder must be unchecked.

  • Removal of the music of former employee files

A former employee had a few GB of iTunes media files stored in the My Documents / My Music folder mapped on our file server.  I need to remove these files, because they are too much space that we need. I am ignorant on iTunes unless I know the synchronization of computers with the iTunes service, and it affects the playlists, availability of the media on other devices, etc. I don't want to lose the music library of this person on them.

Is there a way I can delete these files?

If you want to be nice, you could ask the former employee if he or she has copied the files before leaving.

Usually iTunes is used in conjunction with an Apple mobile device, like an iPhone, iPod or iPad.  If the ability to machine the former employee was large enough to contain all the music, so what was left is just a backup and you can remove it safely without disturbing your consciousness.

If, however, there is more music in the library iTunes on your server have the space on the mobile device, the following applies.

If the music (or video, etc.) was purchased by your former employee, he or she can download (free) again from the online provider, for example, the iTunes store.  Album artwork files can also be downloaded for free from the iTunes store.  If, however, the music was obtained in another way, for example, by importing from a CD, that "otherwise" should be repeated to retrieve music.

Playlists are concerned, that information is kept in one or two relatively small files (especially iTunes Library.itl).  If your former employee does not copy these files, this information would be lost.

There may be other issues related to applications installed on a mobile device.  That info should be on the mobile device.

    Have you tried to reboot?

  • During the recording of music of a stick files memory are corrupt, wrong Tracklisting and will not play

I had problems with Windows Media Player and now when I try to record music on a formatted key, will not play the files, the track list is a track (the first track is not numbered) and the files end up corrupted but not all. The albums that record correctly with the announcement of the track won't play either. This process is done through sync WMP and I have Windows 7 64 bit, but not sure the version of WMP. If I open the music in HP Cloud(I have a HP Pavilion dv6) is properly listed and plays music.  I received a message saying that there are errors on the files in the 'device' and crossed the fix given, but it is never finished and has not corrected and problems. I reformatted the stick and tried again with the worst corruption problems than in the past and unable to delete files without reformat the stick again. Any help is appreciated.

  • BlackBerry Z10 BB10 Music Player display of files that do not exist and cannot be deleted (possible corruption of metadata)

    Hello

I put a bunch of mp3s in the sdcard/Music directory and had them loaded well. Then I edited the tags id3 in them and the music player picked up all the fine changes. After that I noticed that 3 files have been hidden without changes. I tried to play the songs in the music player, and he says: "the file cannot be read due to an unexpected error. (1)."

I removed all the music from my press card and in the music player all the songs have been removed with the exception of these 3 files (which don't really exist since I deleted everything). Again, I try to play them but I get the same error as above. It seems to me that the metadata somehow has been damaged and must be reset.

Does anyone know how can I reset the metadata cached in the music player to return to a State of uncorrupted?

    Thank you.

I am pleased to announce that this problem has been resolved after applying the last updated on 10.0.10.x
