MX30-115: power issues

Hello
I have a problem with my MX30-115 because after an indefinite time, when I have the power supply plugged in, my computer detects it but using the battery and dischards it.
I have to unplug my external power adapter and plug it in again and everything becomes good. But for how long?
If anyone has had this problem...

Thank you

  • Satellite L50 - B - 21 G: abandon WLan connection / power issue

I bought my laptop about six weeks ago and its driving me crazy. I could be sitting with him and suddenly I lose the internet connection, I try to reconnect, but cannot as he seems to have "abandoned" the Broadcom 802.11n network adapter. I'm not very irritable but sees someone else has had this problem and follow a few instructions to restore the previous driver for the network adapter, but it just made things worse.

In addition, I can never turn my laptop. If I choose the "shut down" option then it turns off, but there is always a light flashing around the power button. I heard he's going a few hybrid sleep, but I had instructions to stop this, but again its happening. I can't just press the power button to restart the laptop it restarts with the loss of the network adapter (see above), so I sit in pressing and holding the button several times until it restarts finally with the back working network adapter.

If I just stopped the lid (as I applied this option overall upwards), then three hours I can just return, press a button and begin to work, however, once again, I can not because the network adapter is down and I have to then push and hold the power button (that choose shut down doesn't seem to work).

This laptop was designed to replace an old ADVENT that caused me grief, but I'm done with nothing else than a box of junk that I want to throw. Worse yet, I'm not at all way techy am so not able to do what many of you can do to correct problems so I tried to find a phone number to call Toshiba and never get an option to type in what is my problem and then follow the online help that I tried and does not work! Y at - there someone who can give me a number for Toshiba that I can call for help if I need help more than anybody can give me here? Thank you.

I have already answered in another thread with the similar question of Wlan and I guess it could be a related issue of energy saving:

    Reach:
Windows power options - choose the right central - advanced power options.
Search of the WLan card settings and set it to "best performance".
You must also set the parameters for the PCI express for the 'best performance '.

In addition, go to the Device Manager. Choose here the Wlan card properties
Switch to the last tab called "Power Management" and make sure that the option available in this tab is not checked!

Hold the power button for 20 seconds to evacuate the residule power, then plug back
Holding the Fn key and pressing the power button

    Still nothing...

I hope you guys can help out me? Tomorrow I'm going to disassemble the laptop, maybe there is a blocked fan and this is a heat issue? or otherwise perhaps the power button is somehow disconnected?

I downloaded and printed the disassembly instructions

    Please help me!

    Hello

    Looks like a serious problem.
But for the first time, try this:

-Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter
    -Wait about 20-30 min
-Reconnect the two parts and try to turn on the laptop

If it is not possible to power the laptop then the problem must be related to a serious hardware problem and only the ASP would be able to help you and to see what's exactly wrong with the machine.

  • Novice probably stupid power supply laptop power issue

I have a Tecra A4 and I have what is probably a silly question.

When the battery is running down what to cut first laptop before connecting it to the power of the transformer or can I just plug the / click on the talk button while the phone is still on?

    Hi Bill,

It is completely safe for your laptop to be plugged in, while it is still running on the battery. internal Electronics will take care of the passage back to the mains and your laptop power management software will change based on your settings.

Normally, it is recommended that you remove the battery (when fully charged) when running on the current, although generally, I leave my just in case a power outage.

  • Video card power power issue

I bought a Sapphire Radeon R7 260 X 2 GB GDDR5 HDMI/DVI-I/DP OC Version PCI-Express graphics card and went to install in my HP p7-1206 Pavilion, only to discover that it requires a dedicated offshore feeding power supply.  To solve this problem I bought a Corsair CX series 600 Watt Power Supply CX600M and installed on the same computer.  Since I installed these two components, I had problem when you turn on the power.  Case fan does not turn on, lights up the fan on the graphics card and the CPU fan turns on (but the CPU fan is running at a VERY high speed and you can hear it).  If I play with the power connector 4pin on e point of the motherboard, the machine will start and run without problems... This isn't just to get to that is the concern.   After talking to HP and Corsair (both saying it was faulty equipment of the other company), I discovered this seems to be a bad conection of the 4 connector pins on the motherboard (the corsair has a connector 8 pins, which intones two apart 4 connectors to the motherboard). I have discussed all simply replace the motherboard and see if that will solve all the problems, go with an ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6 Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel motherboard, only I don't want to keep throwing money at this machine hoping to fix the problem... advice?  Don't you think that it is the PSU, graphics card or motherboard?

OK, got the new MSI Geforce 650Ti. Installed and have no problem.  Computer turns on perfectly.

  • HP AF124NO: Power issue or something else?

    Hello

I have several problems with my new laptop that I bought in January 2016.

I didn't know what category to put it, so maybe it's in the wrong.

These problems may be related somehow.

    Problem 1.

When start the computer the first time that he see the HP logo and stops.

The second time I start, it shows the HP logo, and then shows the charger windows and then it works.

    Problem 2.

The computer randomly stopped when I leave for a while. This does not happen if I use it constantly.

Problem 3 (likely to be resolved).

I also had problems with the Broadcom wireless LAN card. Causing the computer to get a BSOD with a message 'bcmwl63a sys system thread unhandled exception.

I downgraded the driver version 7.35.275.2 and it seems that the BSOD is now gone for that matter.

I mention this because I don't know if it could be linked to other issues.

    What I've done so now

So far, I've tested for hardware problems with material for the HP PC Diagnostics and he found absolutely nothing.

I failed to run memory (RAM) test Memtest86 + because the computer does not find the USB (I tried the Flash DRIVE in another computer and it worked there) or when you use a cd it it tries to load the cd but nothing happens.

I don't know what to do anymore.

  • Old Inspiron 537 no power issue

I have an old Inspiron 537 desktop. A few months ago, we briefly a storm and lost power. Since that time Ive had a problem with the power. If the computer is disabled for some reason any not on again with unplugging at least a little. We had another storm this past week and same thing left power down low but does not entirely however leave the computer turned off. I now cant get it to power all no matter what I do. Im hoping to get some help to understand what's goin'.

    ynot80

I guess that there are no beeps.

Try the following, if you are comfortable working around computers:

Note: The only 100% POWER supply test method, is to install a known working power.

Unplug the power cord, hold the power button in for about 15-20 seconds, open the case, disconnect the power connector 24-pin motherboard and jumping the Green wire to one of the black wires, reconnect the power cord and the power of the system, so supply, case fans and disk hard drive run, then the power supply should be good.

Note: Do not remove the wires from the plug, use a small piece of wire or a paper clip as a rider.

Excerpt from power supply, again, unplug the power cord, hold the power button again for 15/20 seconds to discharge residual power, reconnect the connector 24 pin to the motherboard.

Remove all the computer PCI cards, remove the video card [as appropriate], disconnect all devices, except the monitor, mouse and keyboard and unplug cable power & data of all readers.

Reconnect the power cord and power the system on, see if you get a different indication of the LED on the power button / stop, or 'beeps '.

No difference, remove the system memory and try again.

Still shows no signs of life while looking at a motherboard replacement & maybe a processor.

Note: The good news is, processors lack rarely, being the only method I know to check a processor, install a compatible work PC, or use a known job processing.

  • 2504 power issues - is this the same brick used on an ASA?

I have a 2504, that does not illuminate. No led on the front.  Seems to have power over the brick.

Can question - I use an ASA 5505 power on these too?  They also have a 48V power supply and the plug is the same. Just do not know if the + and - are the same pins and no meter autour.

The answer is 'yes' but I won't be held responsible if something were to happen.

  • HELP power power ISSUE?

Hello all the newb here mike. I have a xps 8700 came from stock with a 460 Watt power supply.

I really want to rank up to my vid card but the PSU is tiny. Is it possible to upgrade the PSU without creating chaos on the other components? Dell chat said no not sure I trust them... Let me know if possible.

    Mike

    sypiou

    Yes.

More generic standard ATX power supply can be installed with a power of 20 + 4 pin main motherboard, or 24 pins as the 8700 XPS has a rear panel open, with or without the on/off switch.

You should be able to buy a compatible power supply either a local computer or online store.

Note: A power supply with 5 SATA connectors, is necessary.

It was reported that it is better to buy a PSU with a depth of approximately 5.9 ".
