My computer restarts twice before taking ages to start but once its a cool place.

I have all the extras or anything just a standard box to laptop with XP. I tried to restore right bk to factory setting and it still does it... its been my head now and I'm running to avoid having to wait to do his own thing.

Strange symptoms.  My first thought is that the battery on the motherboard is dead, and whenever you turn off it he forgets all his BIOS settings and it takes a few tries to do it just for a decent start...   But if a flat battery have been your problem, you would also, of other symptoms such as an incorrect date/time after turning the power on.  How long it has been since you replaced your motherboard battery?

I don't know when the downloaded update, the computer has been restarted on September 10, 2010 to install updates. Shortlyl once the computer is restarted, I got the blue screen of death.  with the details of error like:

Stop 0 x 000000050 (0 x 000000000000000, 0xFFFFF88001DCAE4, 0xFFFFF8A00B490027, 0 x 00000000000002) do not know if the number of zeros is exactly right in one of those, but it's super frustrating.

I tried to restart my computer in repair as recommended (get blue screen of death), I tried to reboot normally, loop just restart procedures asking if I want to restart in repair mode.  I tried SafeMode (BSOD), I tried to restart with last working restart (restart loops), I tried to choose the "Computer repair" BSOD I tried a diagnosis and all past.

    Help!

    Thank you.

So yes actually hear nothing helped me.  Seems that, given that the computer is not stopped correctly and my hard drive was not recognized there starting the cycle upward or give me the BSOD.  Put it in my Ubuntu CD spare which I've had since my last PC hard drive became corrupt and force back across my hard drive.  After doing this, I was able to do a boot repair, who led for the BSOD.  Not sure how that actually fixed, lost about 10 hours of my day.  So I guess I can chalk up to Microsoft and a reminder on why I should buy Mac for now on... an update shouldn't really cause such problems.

I get that not everyone has the same PC, so it is difficult to tell if an update is bad, but he should not do this and if an update is the cause of a certain segment of consumers who are updating must be taken down for everyone, or at least the users with the configuration that is known to have problems with an update.

Problem is solved, had to go back to a previous version of good boot where I have not install updates again.  Now, I'm trying to understand who was was bad, so I can leave my computer knows to ignore.

  • By using the system restore before computer restart after updating Windows 10...

I chose to try the upgrade of Windows 10 on my laptop primary.  Because of the long installation times, I started late in the evening then followed finishing (or almost) the update the next morning.  Until I sat down to 'start' I spoke with a friend who had just completed an installation of two heavy day of problems.    Although I am good enough to solve computer OS and software installation problems, I was very reluctant to go forward.   After serious soul searching I elected continue to use Windows 7, I don't really like.

That's why I chose to use the system restore before restarting my computer needed complete Windows Update 10.  I chose the previous restore point before the update of windows 10 and ran through the entire procedure and then restarted the computer after the restore point.

Everything worked fine and I was able to do the foregoing... Except that I can't do updates of security that have been uninstalled.   The Windows Update screen repeat "you must restart your computer...". "with the reboot by holding the active button.

This window doesn't go away even after reboot, and I can not "check for Updates".

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to reset this program if I can do all the updates except Windows 10 security.

    Thank you for any assistance.

By using the system restore before computer restart after updating Windows 10...

Sorry, System Restore does not cancel the major updates, that's why a lot of automatic updates delete all system restore points. The tool that is appropriate in this case would be a restore Image. If you have not created an image before the upgrade, then you are out of luck.

  • Randonly computer restart when it is started normally

Originakl title: why my computer restart on its own?

My computer keeps restarting on its own. It was working fine last night, but then I don't know what happened. It stays on for like a minute or less and then it restarts itself. I even tried to disable automatic reboot, but I did not have enough time and crashes whenever I have try to disable automatic reboot. So I went to safe mode and was able to do, but it did not work when I went back to the normal settings. How can I fix it?

    Hi Kate,

-Have there been any changes made on the computer before the show?

-Are you having the same problem in safe mode?

I suggest the following steps and check.

    Method 1:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

If the computer works very well in mode without failure, then follow method 2 and check.

Step 2: Put the computer in a clean boot state.

To help resolve the error message, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Please note: After troubleshooting, be sure to start your computer in normal mode by following step 7.

If the problem persists, follow method 3.

    Method 3:

Unplug all external devices connected to the computer, then check if you are able to start the computer normally.

If the problem persists, check the observer event logs.

Method 4: Check the Event Viewer logs by starting the computer in safe mode.

There is a method to find which application causes the computer to stop.

But recently when I installed the new program after I restart my computer the missing program. Can I know how to fix this problem? Sorry for the bad English. Will be grateful if someone could help it.

    Thank you.

    Hi Nic6,

You can first try to navigate to the folder C:\Program files and access the application and check that you are able to find the program and you can start from there. Sometimes, the shortcut to the file on the desktop may be corrupted.

Since we do not know how the program has gone or how it was deleted, I suggest that you try to perform a system restore to the date where you were able to access the program and check to see if that help.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, type system restore in the search box and then in the list click on the system restore program.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    b. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

    c. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    d. click Finish.

The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

Access the link below to learn more about how to repair the operating system and how to restore the configuration of the operating system to a previous point in time in Windows:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-system-restore

If the steps above do not help, you may need to reinstall the program to your computer.
