  • How can I change a FRENCH Windows7 Home Edition Premium Operating System in English?

    Hi all

I just bought a HP laptop Pavilion with this Home Premium French Edition, Windows7 in France.

I would like to have the operating system in the English language. Please note that it already came with the MUI and LIP pack but despite my efforts to try to have the OP converted into English, it just does not change :-(

In addition, note that this is an a key QWERTY Board. I can deal with him, but I really wish to have OP in English so I can understand its additional features...

I want to appreciate someone of you in advance.

PS: I went through the forum and messages but no one mentions anything about a WINDOWS7 HOME PREMIUM... Premium?

    Hello

I've already selected English in my lap top Pack MUI that is came up with, as I said it remains in French despite my several attempts. I have a Premium Home Edition NOT an Ultimate or Enterprise version.

It seems to me that I have no other choice than to download this Windows Anytime Upgrade... IF I go ahead and download it. It really goes to entirely replace the OP of the French into English?

Is this software is reliable?  How much does it cost?

In addition, please note that the digital site that you suggested to me it doesn't seem to work properly. Nevermind the fact that it only works on the full edition and Enterprise Versions of Windows...

    Thanks but no thanks...

    Hi Ramdas67

The bottom line here is that you cannot use a MUI Language Pack in a Home of Windows 7 version.

There are 3 third-party programs that say they can do this, but these programs have many problems and they also violate the license agreement for Windows 7 which can cause problems with the activation of the system.

If the Windows Anytime Upgrade is available in your area, this will be your best option. It is inexpensive and only takes 15 minutes about to finish. There is no installation, it simply unlocks the features that are already on your computer.

I hope this helps and please let us know how it works for you.

Thank you for using Windows 7

  • Windows 7 Home Edition premium has an "XP" Mode or "Vista Mode"?

Some games more former won't install or play because of problems with Windows 7 compatibility. Windows 7 Home Edition premium has an 'XP mode' or 'Mode Vista' that can be lit to accommodate for this?

I am running Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit, and the answer is 'no '.  Don't waste your time download XP mode, 'Virtual PC' and an SP1 update, because after two hours of downloading, installation, restart and upgrade, all you will get exercise is less space on your hard drive and a pop-up when you start "XP Mode" that says "XP Mode cannot be set up - XP Mode is not available for this mode of Windows»

Do not be misled by the fact that download 500 MB 'XP Mode' allows you to check that you are running Windows 7 Home Edition to select the right version to download.  Apparently today, 500 MB is what it takes to generate a boring suggesting popup that you are upgrading.  I guess that the good folks at the figure of Microsoft that once that you have 'invested' two hours of your time, the additional amount of $100 or whatever they charge will seem not so bad.

If you buy a Spanish copy, Yes. If you buy an English dub, no.
You need ultimate, not Home Premium, change language. And even
Then, you must download the language you want.

  • When I try to use the Dell reinstallation DVD Windows 7 Home premium SP1 64-bit, it crashes when is about to display the windows logo.

    Re-installing Dell inspiron 19 has windows 7

    People,

I have a Dell Inspiron 19. The Dell of Dell diagnostics disk utilities & drivers say all right. It is a Seagate 320 GB drive. I installed the drive on another computer and used sea tools to erase the disc.  Then I created a partition and marked as "bootable".

When I try to use the Dell reinstallation DVD Windows 7 Home premium SP1 64-bit, it crashes when is about to display the windows logo.  A few pixels logo show and then it's there.  Any ideas?  I worked on it for several days.  Really a "stumper" for me and I did something like that for years!

Original problem seems to be a massive viral infection (owner had no active antivirus software installation!) which led to the non-bootable computer.  After working on this for a while, I decided to just do again it.

  • What is Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit (Full) System Builder DVD 1 Pack?

I want to have Vista 32-bit to Windows 7 64 bit. Was looking on amazon, and Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit (Full) System Builder Pack 1 DVD is much cheaper than the others. Is it because it's just the 64-bit version, or is it something completely different?

    Thank you!

As far as I know, the System Builder License means that you are supposed to install it on a machine that you sell to a third party.

    It is not for end-users.

And if you would have bothered to look at the http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/purchasing-windows-7-at-amazoncom-two-similar/28a24d13-4437-453a-bfa2-61119be19ddf related thread you would have seen the answer.

Ive just ordered a "Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 32-bit English 3pk DSP 3 OEI DVD" from amazon, and just realized, I need an OEM preinstallation Kit. And that I bought comes with 3 DVDs and 3 OEM.

    You don't need the Kit.

    Install in the usual way:

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Windows 7 Home Edition premium clean install.

    Hi all!

I have all the disks when I bought my hp laptop. I have hp´s original windows image build inside my laptop if I have to reinstall windows. Problem is this factory image I have is "very old".

When I use it, I have to use programs own old half day that comes with the image. It's not really a clean install when I have to uninstall and reinstall all the programs is? Image of the plant also have programs, I never even use that they would know.

    My question is simply that:

Am I right to / can I download somewhere legal copy of windows (home premium 64-bit) and use my active product id windows? What about other programs within the original image?

I have the pc hp pavilion dv7 laptop.

Sorry for the bad English and thanks in advance

Yes, you can download a copy of W7 OEM and use your product key that is located on the sticker.

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-Windows-7-SP1-ISO-from-Digital-River/

Unfortunately, HP does not include pre-installed software downloads and I don't know anyway to extract the recovery image.

The "swsetup" on the C drive folder can have some software installers pre-installed in there, save this file to another storage device before installing clean.

    Windows Virtual PC
    Download Windows XP Mode
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Virtual-PC/Download.aspx

Windows XP Mode (Windows 7 only, but not one of the Home versions) "you are not eligible to download Windows XP Mode. You must have Windows 7 Professional, enterprise or full to run Windows XP Mode."    If you have an old XP CD (or other older Windows CD) available you can simply download the Virtual Machine and spend the XP Mode download.

This warranty covers the gambit set of VMS in the 'Home' versions if you want to have a look.  Of course you will need a licensed copy of XP to install and run in any of them (except XP Mode).
