The mouse jumping around corner on its own (TX2000 tablet PC)

HP needs to fix or replace my HP TX2000. The mouse cursor keeps jumping to the bottom right of the screen on its own. I realized that there are a lot of heat generated in this corner of the basic reason keyboard, making it probably the mouse jump there. the mouse works perfectly when I rotate the screen of this corner, but lie, which makes it extremely difficult to work with the screen tilted in a different direction and the Del key BkSpace hiding behind the screen! Ofcuorse, this heat is the culprit and a strange design of unit fault!

I had this same problem (although it seems a bit more sporadic than what others have experienced).

The physical reason of the problem seems to be the corner of the base of the shelf RF interference; because the tablet takes the pen by measuring how much the emitted RF is altered by the pen, the interference near the corner must "look like" the pen being there.

I have "confirmed" this by placing a piece of foil between the screen and the base (in the corner only); This removes the behavior of jumping.  Although I did not open my tablet, I suppose that the interference comes from the power of conditioning circuits for the processor?

In regards to the Wacom HID "pen" disable the fix mentioned above: the feather still work like a pen (RF, with a fine location and pressure sensitivity), or it doesn't work like a 'finger' (capacitive touch sensor on screen, much coarser location resolution)?

    Hello

To use the control of Toshiba and the FN keys buttons, you need to install the VAP (value added package) and the Flash Cards Support utility!
These two tools are important if you running Vista or Win 7.

You can also configure the touchpad again after installing the driver Synaptics and Alps.

Please note that you can configure the touchpad in Control Panel-> mouse->-> properties pointing device.

You will find a few options regarding the sensitivity of the touchpad!

  • Satellite Pro 6100: cursor mouse jumps around

The mouse internal nipple on my laptop does not work, it jumps around in all directions. I tried to replace that with a USB mouse that works fine except that I hit the space bar, then the cursor will jump on the side of the screen.

It will then continue to scroll on the side of the screen, even if I bring him back. Looked at a lot of forums and it looks like a common fault but not a miracle.

    Help, please

    Hello

I put t think that it s a common fault. It could just be the keyboard malfunctioned.
One of my friends has a Tecra, and the cursor of the mouse jumped crazy on the screen.
It was not possible or very difficult to open all the windows or click on the icons.

The service provider has changed the entire keyboard and it's a solution.
Perhaps you will also need a replacement.

But what happens when allows you to disable the touchpad with FN + F9 function? Make cursor jumps when you use USB mouse?

  • When you type, the cursor jumps around. How can I correct this situation?

When you type, the cursor jumps around.  How can I correct this situation?

It is a very common problem when users become familiar with a new laptop. Either your palm/wrist/cuff/bracelet is touching the touchpad as you type or the touch pad sensitivity is set too high and reacts to strong strikes.
    • Someone to watch you while you type to see if you accidentally touch touchpad of the notebook.
    • Go to the control panel mouse configuration and reduce the sensitivity of the touchpad.
    • Make sure you use the latest version of the driver from the manufacturer of the laptop for the touchpad and update if a new becomes available.
    • Disable the touchpad entirely in favor of a wireless laptop mouse.
As noted previously, this is a very common problem and users are usually completely unaware they do even when it is pointed out to them.

Just a guess, you could have a setting on a place where some keys move the mouse. That would be used in the case that you do not have a mouse.

Other that I can't help you much. If you are using a desktop computer, try to unplug the mouse and see what happens. If you're on a laptop, it could be that the trackpad is having problems.

  • I have problems with the cursor jumping around when I type, especially on facebook.

When I type, the cursor jumps around. Most of the time he'll be back in the part I typed before. And for some reason, he does it almost everytime I type in the word you. I have run virus scans and she always does. Any suggestions?

By chance, your computer is a laptop or netbook?
I found that when typing, my wrist is sometimes contact with the touchpad causing the cursor to jump on.  Something specific on how you type 'you' might make your wrist touch the touchpad.  If this is your case, there is a program called 'touchfreeze' which disables the touchpad while you type.

    Hello

1 does happen on all applications?
    2. you are using a desktop computer or a laptop?

    Method 1.
If you use a laptop try disable the touchpad and check.

    Method 2.
    Step A.
Check to see if the problem exists in Safe Mode, if the computer works as expected in mode without failure, then we can solve the problem in the clean boot state.

See the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Step B.
You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

The first Question of troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what has changed between the time things worked and the time they do not have?

The second issue of Windows troubleshooting: what is the status of virus/malware of the machine? If you think it's clean, what programs (and versions) allows you to determine this?

Make sure that the computer is clean:

If the computer is clean, use the the Task Manager or Process Manager to find out what is running if you can identify the program 'song' for you. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • HOW IS IT MY MOUSE JUMPS AROUND ON THE SCREEN, OR STOP SUDDENLY

my mouse jumps all over the screen, and it suddenly stops moving.

Test your mouse on another PC. If the problem persists, the mouse is defective.

Test another (known working) mouse on your PC, if the fault persists your PC is faulty somehow.

It's a mouse laser (light rather than a rolling ball works)? If it is try different a surface or a mouse pad. Some surfaces, e.g. mouse pads and mousepad hologram photo will lead crazy optical mice.

If it is a bearing ball mouse, clean the rollers inside.

It is USB, PS/2 or series? Wired or wireless? Check the battery if wireless.

    ·       You are using a laptop with a touchscreen?  Chances are good that you accidentally touch the touchpad while typing, and that moves the cursor.  Go to start / Control Panel / mouse and see if there are controls for adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad or to disable the touchpad while typing.  Go to the web site of the manufacturer of your and download the latest device drivers, firmware, and software for touchpad you and your mouse (if you also have a mouse - you may have to go the manufacturer of the mouse for these drivers, if she did not come with the system).  New updates can offer options that did not exist before like the ones I mentioned.

This happened to me also and I bought a separate mouse and disabled the touchpad and the problem disappeared - but he had me past for awhile until I finally figured it out by typing differently (with my hands up higher so the Palms do not touch and had no problem).  Even if this isn't the problem, update the drivers, firmware or software can solve the problem on its own.

If none of the works above, we will need either to run a complete troubleshooting procedures (post back and I'll meet with them) or the touchpad or mouse is defective and must be replaced.  You can discuss these last with the computer manufacturer when you talk to them (if you talk to them).

I hope this helps.  If you have any questions along the way, come back and I'll do my best to answer.

    Good luck!

  • the mouse jumps on Mac mini

I've had my Mac Mini for a little over a week now. Initially I was using a Windows keyboard and mouse, and everything worked fine. Then, a few days ago I got the wired Mac keyboard and mouse. I really like it - but - mouse sometimes jumps to one of the corners, most often in the upper left corner, but other times at the top right and bottom right.

It is perhaps a problem with the mouse, or is this something I have to learn to live with that?
