• Shortcuts in a mapped network drive do not work

  Hello

  In a server that is running Windows server 2008 R2 I is a shortcut to an application in a shared folder.

  I'm not able to execute/run the shortcut when from another computer, I map a network drive to the shared folder. The error message says "the item 'nameoftheprogram' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, and this shortcut no longer works correctly. You really want to remove this shortcut? »

  I tried several different settings in the properties of the shortcut: I checked 'run as administrator' in the shortcut tab > advanced, I tried another setting "run this program in compatibility mode", in the general tab, I played with permissions... Nothing really seems to work.

  Maybe you have an idea, a tip, an experience to share on this problem? In any case thank you for your attention on this issue.

• HP psc 2510 photosmart driver will not work

  I recently bought a new HP all-in-one, so I gave my old all-in-one for a friend. It's a HP psc 2510 and I'm having a problem installing the printer driver on their PC. Windows XP

  I tried to use the original CD supplied with the printer (version 3.1.1) as well as the version of the entire network and the basic version of the site hp.com (version 4.2.1). In all cases, the results are the same. The program will not work.

  In the case of the downloaded version, I see the files extract to a temporary location until 100% then nothing happens once completed. With the original CD when I run the setup.exe screen flashes and then nothing happens.

  I don't know how to solve this. I wonder if Microsoft changed something during a Windows update that affects this installation?

  I tried the version CD and downloads on 2 other PC with the same results. I even downloaded the XP on a Vista PC version to see if it would go at least after the extracted files and they do not have.

  Can someone please download the driver for this printer on their PC and let me know if it runs once it has extracted all the files? Maybe HP has a file corrupted on their site?

• Freecom network drive does not work in Windows 7

  My network of Freecom 400 Gb, LAN + USB 2.0 drive, works fine in Windows XP.

  After installation of the software (for XP) Windows 7 recognizes the drive (FND) in the network, but clicking on the drive reported an error.
  When you try to 'Add and remove mapped actions' drivers software the network drive does not.

  Unfortunately, Freecom doesn't give not any medium.

  On some forums, I found a 'solution' that did not work for me: Start - computer - Network\\FND\Public

  If anyone using a Freecom network drive has found a solution, it could make me very happy to cummunicate this for me.

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
  contacts data with a pencil eraser.

  The network works fine with one question. When I add a new file on the same machine and try to access this new folder from another machine the new folder does not appear. I have to disconnect the network drive of the machine with the new folder, and then map a new drive. When I map the new drive the new folder appears in Windows Explorer on the second machine.

  It's very frustrating when I want to add a file attachment to e-mail from another machine and it does not appear until I disconnect and re - map the drive.

  I hope this all make sense. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? I don't remember this problem when my network was XP Pro machines.

  The I work around this problem is to do step 1 and step two, as you suggest.  I haven't restarted the computer though - I will also try it.  I have also not tell abled my ESET NOD32 Antivirus software either - I'll try that too.
  The network drive I'm seeing 'change' on does not refresh by itself, when I press F5 or go to view/update.
  Search Google indicates that this refreshing a network drive issue to show a newly created folder, etc. is a long time, Windows 7 problem.
  I would like your ideas on the potential problem of Windows 7 found on Google.

• Mapped network drive is not reconnect at startup

  Have a user who is not getting one of their mapped drives reconnect at startup. This means that the drive does not appear as being mapped at all. It is currently running Windows XP Pro SP3. Other users are in the same groups and do not have this problem.

  I suggest the drive mapping via a command line script, and then have this script to run when the user logs on, such as putting the script in the user's startup folder.

  I have a RAID 5 drive connected to my MACPRO (MacPro5, 1), OSX 10.9.2. His work correctly on the BONE.   Hi Visruth - for a period of time you were kind enough to help me with my portable player that wouldn't work after that I downloaded Windows 10. I have no joy in time, but in the latest edition of number Computeractive 475 11 to May 24 to 70 page there are instructions that worked for me.

  1) click Start, type diskmgmt and press enter

  Sheet 2) in the portable player and take note of its name

  Law 3) click on the white space beside where the Portable Player is listed on the bottom of the screen

  4) click New Simple Volume to open the wizard

  (5) for the opening of the wizard, click on next again, and then click Next and choose a drive letter from the drop-down list, then click Next

  (6) select "Format this volume with the following settings.

  (7) select NTFS in the 'File system' drop ' then by default from the "Size of Allocation uniy" dropdown and select "perform a quick format.

  8) click on 'Next' and then 'Finish' to format the partion

  Once the player has completed must appear in the file Explorer.

  I installed RD on two XP PRO machines, and when I click on the diskette icon I get a BSOD, STOP 000000F7. The disks worked OK before the installation of RD.
  I removed the RD Software and readers don't always work, but they do not work in safe mode.
