P.S. I was able to find an immediate temporary fix yesterday by browsing through another forum where one of the mods had a fix. He said that the issue had something to do with DEP.

Here is his discussion with another Member:

    ===========================================================

In General, when an accident of app, or crashes, a record is made in the event viewer. (type eventvwr in the search) go into windows journal > application tab.

You are looking for critical errors (they have red in the left hand column)

Look for the application, the app blocking crash or anything related to the problem

When you find them write down the Event ID and source code and tell us what they are. I have a sneaking suspicion it will be event ID 1000 source 100.

Let us know if you need help

Hey guys, I'm so glad I saw this thread I have problems very similar to POS.

Basically, I just recently implemented a new system and installed Windows 7 above. This is where my first errors have occurred, getting an error of installation on the first try to install Win7. I had a look around the web trying to solve this and got through the installation of the second time around.

However, after having the computer for a week now he acted strange throughout various errors and a blue screen appears from time to time.

I get blue screens, IExplorer, COM Surrogate and Explorer Windows Defender-a stopped working, even my sfc/scannow was interrupted due to the error... This is my first experience with this type of problem and I haven't really found someone with a clue on this subject yet.

Until I read your reply, zigzag3143. I had a look at my eventviewer out of curiousity and it just so happens that it is full of Error Event ID 1000, Source code 100, with Source stated as Application and my Avira Antivir Personal antivirus software. It should be noted that prior to Avira I had Avast antivirus installed, so I don't suspect the usual antivirus issue.

Yes, zigzag3143, what exactly is this event 1000 code Source 100 all about? It would be so nice for a change, to get this resolved from the first post on the web, you know? Haha, anyway, I cross my fingers that you can crush it for me.

    Thanks.

I beg of you. I thought it was that but wouldn't you jinx. OK Event ID 1000, 100 source is often caused by a built-in virus protection app called adj. Dep, or DEP data, prevent applications (read virus) to launch in 'protected memory space. It is almost not necessary but that's another story.

He find. It is located in your system control panel > advanced system settings > Advanced Options > performance settings > DEP

-Default is MS apps only (I think) what ever he is set to change. If that does not cure the problem, you can even turn it off. There is a turorial here on this. http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/12...ble.html?LTR=D

Let us know if she continues

    ===========================================================

LONG STORY SHORT... I just did what he said and follow this link to
Learn how to turn off my DEP for a quick trouble so if someone reads this and is a problem, it can work for them, as well.

Your information help me with a permanent fix because I have activated DEP before I restarted and now everything is back to normal

    Thanks again!

  • Windows Vista Home Basic Edition keeps looping and will not start

Windows Vista Home Basic Edition will not boot to the Welcome screen. It keeps restarting loop. I tried to go into safe mode, but who does not start too. Loops of safe mode and return to the start screen.

I have a dell laptop and I just restalled operating system. I had Windows Update set to automatically download and install. PC worked great until the next day (after the time programmed for automatic updates). I'm assuming that the started after some windows updates when installed. Unfortunately, I can not enter in Windows or Normal or Safe Mode.

    Bill

If safe mode does not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • Pavilion g6 turned off and will not turn back on

My g6 kept turning off unexpectedly, and now it will not even turn around.  Help, please.

The fire being orange means that the computer is "charge" of the battery.  If it is always orange and never goes back to white then there is something wrong with the battery because it is not that it is fully charged and the continuous computer to keep it loads or not related that she stopped.  This could be a battery problem or a problem with the computer loading mechanism.  It's probably more with the battery what either.  If you can get the computer to boot with the battery and you can get the HP utility Center to open, you can have it run a test on the battery and give you information about your battery.

  • Desktop HP crashed and will not start

My HP computer (P7 - 1268C) crashed and does not restart. After trying everything I can think, I pressed the Start button once more and the color changes from blue to orange and white and again. The computer is overheating because it is not hot. Help, please.

Hello. I'm not an expert, but I'll still try to help. first thing I would try is to check with another monitor. If this does not work I would create a ubuntu flashdrive. Ubuntu is free and open sorce os and is a good fix tempary if you need a fast computer. It is very easy to install on a flash drive.   Ubuntu.com

Looks as if it is not the monitor that it is a virus.

  • help - all my colors changed and will not change back!

    running cs3 on imac osx

make business cards, RGB mode.  colors are just right.   Then my printer tells me that I must give the file in CMYK mode.  so I changed to CMYK in Image - Mode, knowing that the colors would be different.  a printed version and Ugh, he hated; much darker and duller.  so, changing back to RGB Mode. and behold, the color did NOT change back!  I opened another file - one I had not tested with, which was nothing else than RGB.  and here!  She had changed too much in the dark and dull colors!

What in the world is happening?  Help, please

    Thank you!

I have my own customprofile that I use and use only, the opening of the dialog of the PS it is always set to printer manages colors.

That makes no sense at all. If "printer manages color", this profile is not used; It is all done in-house in the printer. You belong to the printer.

What kind of profile is and where exactly do you use it?

EDIT: To make this from scratch, what are exactly these three profiles in all files of the "bad":

1 document profile (find out by opening the profile dialog box convert and note what it says under Source space. Cancel out; do not fill in).

2 the monitor profile (find out by opening the color settings. Open the drop-down list under working RGB space and scroll to Monitor RGB and associated profile. (Cancel).

3 printer profile, if any. (This is defined in the dialog printing according to the paper, as long as Photoshop manages color).

  • HP 6700: HP 6700 stops and will not feed back

Our HP 6700 closed mode and do not print.  The screen is blank.  I tried to unplug the printer and the surge protector, wait 60 seconds and pluged new directly into a wall outlet and the problem persists.

I am all good!  It is the external power module.  He exchanged with another HP with the same module and the printer was fine.  Believe it or not, the power module that didn't work on the HP6700 has worked on other HP printers.  GO FIGURE!

  • My M177fw MFP shows paused and will not print, either wireless or with USB

I try to print wirelessly with my printer HP MFP M177fw.  It shows "ready to print", but does nothing.  If I delete this print job, it shows "printer paused".

    Hi joanieo,

By your post, I see that you are unable to print to a USB connection or wireless.
I can help you with this problem.

I'd do a power reset to see if that will solve the problem.

When the printer is still lit, disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer.

Then, disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet.

Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and turn on again.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector)

For the USB connection, have the printer connected directly to the computer. (not a hub or a docking station)

It should not be more then 6 feet. Make sure it is a 2.0 and not a 3.0 cable. Also check the ports on the computer, they are 2.0.

Try and print a self-test on the printer hardware to see if it is a hardware or software problem.

    Print a Configuration report.

    What is the IP address?

Try to print from the computer.

If you're still having problems, then go through the steps described in this document provided, to see if she will help solve this problem.

"Printer is off-line" Message appears on the computer and the HP printer does not print.

Printing and scanning doctor could solve the problem automatically.

Please provide detailed results if you're still having problems.

What operating system do you use? How to find the Windows Edition and the Version on your computer.

Let me know the results of printing and scanning doctor. (error messages, printed test page)

    Good day!
    Thank you.

  • C75-A-11j satellite crashed and will not start

I went to Toshiba in December 2013.
Never had serious trouble with the other H.P. during all these years, but now five months Toshiba and my laptop Satellite C75 completely crasched.

I tried to update the system, but it did not work.
Fortunately, I saved most of my data in the cloud that I did a reset full factury.

In this process the laptop has a blue screen.
He said that there was a problem.
It restarted, and now I can't do anything. Immediately after the start, it gives a blue screen all the time.

I can't do an another factury reset because I can't select this option. I do not have the productkey, and I don't have a windows DVD, since the feature reset-factury-comes aboard with the laptop.

    Everyone's advice?

    > It restarts and now I can't do anything. Immediately after the start, it gives a blue screen all the time.

What exactly happens after you have pressed the power button?
Are you able to access the BIOS by pressing F2?
You can start the Boot Menu by pressing the F12 key?

    Try it and post comments.
Where both options are not possible, and don t give no results, I recommend you contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country in order to get the unit fixed.
The standard of guarantee must be valid and the unit will be attached to a year free of charge.

    Hello petertomblin,

It seems that this message is coming because of settings in the BIOS.

The computer has a floppy drive?

    If so, is it operational?

Nevertheless, we want to get into the BIOS and disable the startup procedure floppy drive,

It is this best with support of the manufacturer of your.
