  • CD/DVD-ROM problems, drive not detected AND the category of CD/DVD-ROM does not appear in Device Manager

I'm having serious problems here. My CD/DVD-ROM drive is not detected and will not answer. I can ONLY open the drawer at the beginning of my computer laptop startup. The drive does not appear in my computer and the category of CD/DVD-ROM does not appear in Device Manager. Therefore, the "uninstall/reinstall" is impossible if the computer behaves as it has never been this drive now or never. Previously, I was able to use it as there was no problem, but someday, it's simply not there.

  • Cannot find CD/DVD drive in my computer on Device Manager. CD - DVD does not work

I recently discovered that my CD/DVD drive does not work. It worked fine before. Tried to burn a CD in iTunes, but the error message says that the software or the CD device could not be found.

  • Satellite M - DVD/CD ROM missing in my device manager

My computer for some reason unknown to me, recognize or load content on any DVD or CD that I put in my combo drive. The disc turns and acts like it is loading, but nothing happens. I want to switch from XP to Vista. whether a disk of music or a dvd movie disc, it always does the same thing. I have a satellite M45-S2652. I tried the registration procedure and nothing has changed. Before that, when I clicked in my device manager and everything was ok, he read "(MAT *** un DVD) RAM UJ - 831 S."

I tried to use my windows recovery disk, but the computer does not recognize it. I tried the restore later, when I clicked in my device manager, under DVD ROM, I saw a bunch of script gibberish with a yellow exclamation point, but the same thing was happening. Y at - it someone who had that same kind of experience and solved. Will you please help me to solve my problem. I want to upgrade to Vista.

    Thank you.

Try to remove the CD/DVD filters in the registry.
When the associated CD/DVD (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), the software is installed, they install filters in the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.

    (1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit)
    2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    (3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
    (4) restart.

If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).

This utility can remove the filters for you:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/content/support/bulletins/su2065061/RmvFltrs.exe

If it still does not respond, you may need to replace the DVD drive

    Hello

Please go to the Microsoft Community Forums.
Description of the question, we understand that you want to reinstall the Ethernet drivers.

If you could answer a few questions that would help us resolve this problem:
    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
    2. do you have the CD/DVD driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer?
    3. are you able to connect to the internet?

-We would like to say that you can install the network card drivers from the CD/DVD driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer.
-In addition, you can download all these drivers on a USB of the computer manufacturer's website and install it on the desktop.

Hope that answers your query. If the problem persists, answer us the answers to the questions above so that we can help you further.

How can I stop my laptop disconnect my wireless connection?
    What I've tried:
Auto-updated the driver from Device Manager
-' Find the hardware changes' on Device Manager
-Disable "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" the power of the device management
The only thing that has worked now:
    -Restart the laptop.
Thank you very much for your help :D

Thanks a lot :) I've manually updated the drivers from the manufacturer's website (intel), and the problem ceased to occur. I will you update if anything... Thanks again.

  • U350 webcam stopped working, Device Manager disappear.

    Hi all

I'm hoping to get some help here. I have seen that other people had similar problems, but no satisfactory solution that applied. So go again us.

    I bought a U350 with Windows 7 home basic 32-bit.

He came with a Bison/Lenovo Webcam which worked fine when I bought it. I usually use the camera with Skype.

Yesterday, when using Skype, I noticed that the camera was gone, dissappeared.

It does not show when I hit FN + ESC. I have reinstalled Power Manager, always the same question.

It shows nothing in Device Manager. Imaging devices have disappeared.

When I tried to add a new device imaging and added manually and stressed the downloaded driver, the driver installation begins. Then suddenly it stops with a warning saying: "no device in the setup.ini file is on this computer.

I can't uninstall anything, because I don't see anything in the Device Manager. I can't install any drivers as the material seems to be undetectable.

My wild guess is that the Webcam has stopped working or is disconnected from the motherboard. But maybe you have clues othere what this could be? Not detected by Device Manager means that the material is broken?

    Thank you very much!

    AJ

If you script site and it has not detected any camera, possible problem of cable, connector or camera.

I suggest you call lenovo support line and ship your laptop.

Edit: because you need technical support, I've marked this issue as resolved.

  • Two different processors in Vista on the Satellite M-series(1M8) Device Manager

I have two different processors in the vista Device Manager:
first pilot intel core 2 Duo T7100 and second Core 2 Duo T7700

What this means and how do I use it?

    Thanks Klaaus

    Hello

This is a bug of Vista ;)
Just remove the processors the Device Manager and reboot the laptop.
After the restart new Vista should recognize and refresh the information in the CPU.

  • Pavilion Slimline s5-1020: DVD drive not recognized in Device Manager

My rarely used DVD player no longer works. Here are the things I have seen/made:
-J' updated to Windows 10. It may or may not have stopped working before the update.
-I update Windows automatically, and everything seems to be in order there.
-The DVD seems to be operational, insofar as you can hear it turn when a disc is inserted.
-Setup recognizes, and it is enabled; It is not at all in Device Manager or in the file Explorer.
Based on the things I've tried, there are indications that it may be either a hardware or a software problem (or both?):

    SOFTWARE PROBLEM?
I followed these as much as possible:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03370738#c03370738_NoDriveWin8
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03370738#c01895589_resetpower
    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/desktop-CD-DVD-read-only/read-this-for-CD-DVD-drive-with-burning-Missin...

    -I got disconnected/reconnected the drive.
-J' tried various DVD I knew to do.
-I don't have to update the BIOS, given warnings.
    - Nor did I mess with registry filters.
-J' tried to find a Microsoft Fixit solution, but the one referenced somewhere in these pages don't apply to this OS - I think it was for Win 7.  I tried MS Control Panel convenience stores, but none of them worked.
So I can't say whether or not it is a software problem.

    HARDWARE PROBLEM?
-J' have set the boot on the CD order in configuration and the desktop with Windows 7 HP Pavilion system repair disc - nothing happened, he went straight to the HD (even if I had turned off).  So that leads me to believe it may be a hardware problem after all.

Do I have other options at this point, except maybe buy another drive?  And in fact if I do, it is possible that one does not work either?

While you are not alone in this problem, here's a thread that deals with her.
