My e709a print white or very faded.

I have a HP printer all in one single e709a.  Will white print pages or extremely faded.  Did all the things troubleshooting.  Clean printerheads (twice), changed the cartridges (although they were not outside), unplugged, etc...

Help!

Hi drcatellani,

I have a few questions that will help me better help you:

1. what operating system you have on your computer?

2. what programs are you printing from when this happens?

3. what you print when this product (document, Web page, photo, etc.)?

Any additional information you can provide about the question, can be useful to find a solution.

    Welcome solutions

    Hi @TeamPas,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you have a printer all-in-one HP Photosmart C4100 which is not printing black ink, or when he does it is faded and unusable. I would like to help with that.

Here is a document to support that you can use which can help with this problem of print quality - Missing, Faded or dull colors.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

  • 2840 AIO: aio HP 2840 print white or yellow, fax and copy is in color

The printer prints white or yellow. Fax and copy is without any problem and in color. What can be the François for this dysfunction between fax/copying and printing.

I try to imagine the proper name for it, but this point that does not is the solenoid that engages the carousel in position.

This solenoid holds the stationary carousel while you print to any given color and then frees him then the carousel can turn a quarter turn it is necessary to get to the next color.

What happens is that when the carousel does not lock out of position toner cartridge derivatives and none of the toner transferred to the intermediate transfer belt. Sometimes you get yellow is the first color of the 4 it sets for an image.

What actually happens is the piece of foam rubber that is located between the arms of the solenoid and the solenoid deteriorates and becomes sticky and arm sticks to him instead of the carousel of locking in position.

To fix this you will need to disassemble the machine where you can remove the solenoid and remove the arm from the solenoid, it's pretty simple when you look at it. Then clean the tarry residue and replace it with a very thin pen, you can get them at a dollar store, if you buy the high quality pads they are way too thick and the solenoid valve will not work. You have to have something between the metal arm and the metal Center of the solenoid or the residual magnetism that has developed in the metal causes the two parts together.

You can find the service manual for this machine to: feedroller.com

If my post is solved your problem and click the accepted as button solution under him. In order to thank a technician for a post click the thumbs up button under the post. You can even click on the two buttons.

  • HP LaserJet 400 M401dn: M401dn not print white text on a black background

    Hello

We do not print white text on a blackground on a M401dn. I am trying to print a Word document. Prints fine on other printers we have - Brother HL-2240dn, Ricoh Aficio C4501.

When the work is submitted the HP printer prints a black block. There is no white text.

Can someone help me solve this problem please?

    Thank you.

After reviewing your samples in detail a bit more, I suspect that the problem may be associated with the size of the font you are selection (so it would affect black text on white background) rather than being something to do with the colors of text and background.

With a number of recent models LaserJet Mnnn , a firmware issue has prevented use of the font with a size of 72 points or more.

These appear to have been fixed with a new version of the firmware - see http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Software-Drivers/M401dn-Firmware-Printing-issues/m-p/5008912

  • Ability to print white

I have a HP Officejet J4540.  Anyone know if I can print it in white by changing the color settings?  I would like to print white letters on dark purple paper.

    Thanks, DonnaCD

The printer uses a subtractive method, it cannot print white on a dark background.  (The color lighter, it can be printed is no ink, which would be the color of the background.)  You need a printer with white ink.  I know not all printers currently available with this feature, I think that there was once an Alps printer that would print white.

Another option would be to print upside down, the purple background of printing on white paper.  Would we much ink and may not yield the results you want...

  • How to prepare an Illustrator file for printing white text on a black t-shirt?

There is no graphics, just text. The finished product is going to be a white text on a red t-shirt.

What are the steps of preparation of an Illustrator file for this purpose, and what should I do before sending it to the printer off?

    Thank you.

I call or send your printer and him asking the same question. There are several ways to indicate a white ink, it would be good to know their preference. My guess is that they will ask you to provide a PDF file with black text and indicate somewhere what to print white ink. They might prefer a .eps file. An illustration of a white T-shirt red type in the desired location and size would also help ensure that you get what you want.

  • 5100cn faded black text printing / color is very well

We're having a problem with our printer 5100cn lately.  Any text in black that is produced is very thirsty.  Black comes out fine in a few images, however, it seems just printing text effect.  All other colors work very well.  We have replaced the black toner, toner drum, made a dev of cleaning on the black toner (during which was a sound resonable amount) and reset the NVRAM.  All to nothing does not.  Any suggestions to fix this would be appreciated.  Thank you!

  • Satellite P10: clouds white and purple fading across the screen during startup

I had problems with my laptop PC-10 so I bought a new hard drive (Fujitsu 60 GB instead of 40 GB) standard and have it myself. I was working very well with it for a long time, until suddenly I have had the strangest problem that I've ever seen on a computer...

Sometimes, when you start the laptop, instead of the screen normal red "TOSHIBA" and the message to start Windows XP, the laptop displays simply little weird white and purple clouds fading across the screen, fading finally on a screen very dark, but not quite black.

I thought first it was a problem with the DVD player, like when he finally gave and started normally, the DVD drive has been disabled. However, I noticed in the BIOS, under "Advanced" the Infrared Port shows intermittently - it shows with the [Disabled] setting next to him, but will be then disappear from the list, then reappear again and then go again and so on.

Sometimes my computer will function normally, then completely shut (mouse and all) and will restart with the clouds!

I looked in the Windows Event Viewer for when the laptop has locked up and have seen anything to do with a problem with IRQS for the Infrared Port. I disabled the infrared port in Device Manager (I managed to activate in the BIOS by loading the standard BIOS settings) and rebooted, but it started upward with the clouds once again, so I have the feeling that the infrared port is the culprit - loose connection may be defective material because it is located close to the DVD player and HD player.

I was wondering if anyone has seen something like this before on any computer, and if they knew how to solve? It seems completely illogical that a defective IR port could change what is displayed on the screen on startup, unless of course there is something wrong with my HD boot sector?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Tom

    Hello

I've never seen like this problem before and I don't think that this issue has something to do with the HARD drive or the IrDA port.
As much as I know the IrDA port is not available on Satellite P10 - xxx

For me, this looks like a faulty screen or graphics card.
Have you tried to connect the external display? If this isn't the case, then try to do and check if it also appears on the external display.

I recommend also to recover the laptop with Toshiba Recovery CD and then check the functionality.
But if the malfunction appears so I would recommend contacting the Toshiba ASP for control from laptop

  • HP Officejet 4355 printer suddenly start very slow printing! HP technician advice needed!

    Hello
My all-in-one HP Officejet 4355 printer start suddenly feel very very slow! I've had it for 4 years, and God never gave me any problems (maybe minor once, but never really made me mad), as I used it very often at home and at the office. I always buy the HP original ink cartridge (only once, when I wanted to see how works the charging - it's not) and now the last cartridge has been in the printer for a month or two, nothing unusual, and suddenly my printer starts to print very very slow, if normally it took 10-15 sec for a black and white page now it will take 10 to 15 minutes. Could someone suggest help?
Please don't talk about the computer/Windows/USB settings, they all work very well. I unplugged the printer from the PC and don't "align the print cartridge. First step, the printed area, took 10 minutes, second step, part of scanning, does not pass. It says printer cannot allocate the alignment page...
Moreover, I did look around for answers and found that some people say it's a fault of the ink cartridge. But I used this cartridge for a few months now, it's almost, but not yet finished, it was perfectly up to printing. Impressions during this issue come out OK, 7 out of 10.
Anyone have any ideas? If I could attract professional assistance of technicians of HP, it would be perfect.

    Thank you.

Although they still ink cartridge may fail and give the results you see, where the printer made a bandage and wait 10-15 seconds for the next Strip. This is caused by the failure of one of your cartridges.  Remove each cartridge and clean the contacts on the cartridge and printer can solve the problem.

I don't remember if the Officejet 4355 reserve mode supports, but try the following: remove the black print cartridge and print a test page.  The printer prints at a normal speed?  Is therefore the black cartridge was the issue and needs to be replaced.  If it isn't then, put the black back cartridge in and remove the color cartridge and the test page printed.  If the printer now prints speed the color cartridge is responsible and must be replaced.

  • E709a printer is no longer on the network

Have had my printer/fax E709a installed with computers able to use from the network.  It is plugged into a wired router / wireless with Verizon FIOS.  Operating system on the computer connected to ethernet Wired is Windows 7 (64-bit) and Ubuntu Linux (via VMWare).  Other Windows XP computers and, for awhile, I had a very old Dell Ubuntu use via wired ethernet.

Recently, however, we had a power outage extended (about 40 hours) and it seems that, since I can't find the printer on the network.  I was able to run via the USB port on the bridge, but it would be nice if we can get it on the network again.

So far, I have tried... (with McAfee firewall off)

    Network HP 64 bit patch

    The diagnosis of HP's utility

Remove and reinstall the printer drivers

Print a "Configuration Page of HP network" and tying to access the IP address via my web browser (expires)

Open a command prompt window and trying to ping IP address of the printer (not responding)

Restart the printer by turning off and turn back while now #6

I'm out of ideas and I was wondering if maybe the power failure did something?

The power failure (or reboot to be able to introduce a voltage surge) may have blown the power supply.  Let's reset - unplug it from the wall and from the printer for 5 minutes and then try again.

  • My HP OfficeJet 6500 wireless printer prints slowly with very long breaks during printing...

I saw a very old post on this but no solution so I'll try a new position.

Also, I'm not sure I'm even barking to the top of the tree on the right.

My PC is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and is up-to-date with all the updates.

Recently my Officejet 6500 a more printer E710n-z began to print very slow with long breaks and, in some cases, falling output and in other cases simply do not print.  If I print the various printer and cartridge of test pages from the printer itself, they have long breaks but seem to finally print correctly.  I've been playing with that try to circumvent the problem as long as I'm not really sure print the (from the front of the printer) are always correct.

I uninstalled the printer and all its associated and software reinstalled using the latest download available on the HP support site, but it made no difference.

After sanding my teeth to a measure of costly troubleshooting, I bought a set of completely new and installed HP cartridges.  Once again, no difference.

You don't know if it is a herring or not but when I printed him using both iPrint from my iPhone, as well as the HP ePrint feature email, while still having the very long pause he eventually print a text message only correctly.

Finally, on the first time I printed the properties/test page it printed the HP, logo, displayed while the ink was drying for what seemed like a minute ago, powered form to another page, delayed for awhile and then printed broadband nonsense, form fed once again, and after another long break printed what appeared to be the upper third or the word Windows.

Sometimes when printing from the iPhone, it will display a low ink message - even if it has a new set of cartridges HP - and sometimes the PC displays an error saying: he can't communicate with the printer.  Can I still access the printer with the function of Windows printer or HP web access so clearly the wireless network connection is still viable.

What do you think?  This old printer a year and a half has simply turned into an opportunity to mimic the famous scene copied from office space?  Or has someone else observed or experienced this and knows how I could solve this problem?

Thanks in advance for help you what can offer?

    Howard

    Redmond, WA

Thank you.  The article that you included was one of the first I found when I started researching this issue.  I also found articles on other uninstallation methods, as well as to remove and clean the printhead - everything I tried.

Only, the printer is connected to the wireless network.  The power is connected directly to a wall outlet that I follow for the level of tension and the power used.

The problem seems to be resolved now.  If she does not return to its recalcitrant ways in a few days, I will consider this closed.

    Here's what I did...

I was trying to uninstall from the control panel.  I noticed that when I would get the ini file, read all entries in the menu 'Start' mistake had been removed, but immediately after recognizing the error it would make it back to the starting point and put everything back the way he found.  I tried to use the Task Manager to kill msiexe point of error, but it could still roll back.

Then, for who knows what reason, I tried running uninstall directly from the menu start.  This time, when he stopped and I killed the uninstall process, he stayed collapsed.  I then used the Fusion driver to remove any HP printer drivers that followed RevoUninstaller Pro to find and remove all files followed by CCleaner to clean the registry and associated registry entries.  I'm not advertising or advocating, these are just the tools I've used.

After a reboot, the printer seems to be [finally] completely gone.  I installed the software again and this time it seems like it should be and [so far at least] works properly as well.  I do not think that I messed up [voluntarily] with this printer because I bought a few years ago.  I don't know what caused it, but it seems that I had several instances of competitors or software drivers in layers.

I made a clone of the disc and then tried again to uninstall the printer.  Even if it was just after a successful installation and a reboot he would always leave with the same error "Unable to read" in the same place.  The error code in the case where the file is the same as that used by other systems for "not enough contiguous disk space.  I have 384 GB free on a 1 TB drive and Norton reorganizes the disk every week so that the error number can be a distraction, but I have yet to find something better to inform me.  What initially may also be why the restore will not complete successfully or the other.

Ah the joys of PC ownership.  You have to wonder how many PCs get retired every year simply because the owner has not been enough tech-savvy and pay someone else's expensive with no guarantee of success.

    Sigh...
