  I know that the older Canon SLR and perhaps the first DSLRs have been noted only for 6 volts. SLR digital current Canon are valued at 250 volts, at least since the period of 40 days, I think. Maybe sooner, but I do not know at what time, Canon has improved the SLR/DSLR line to manage a higher voltage.

  Point n shoot, however, I have no idea and don't know where to find them. You could try emailing support Canon directly. (This forum occasionally sees Canon reps and technicians down, but are mainly Canon users and fans to help each other better possible.)

  There is a Web site that shows the flash firing voltages, but which is absolutely not a complete list or a severe test of those on the list. It lists the Sunpak 611, but shows a later, a trial to have the trigger voltage of 4 volts, then as an older one was much higher at 190 volts. (I assume that you have measured your own with a VOM 611).

  So, I'm not really help a lot. Check Canon support about the features of your camera trigger voltage. If you are always worried about it, you can use something like a Wein SafeSync to protect the camera from the excessive trigger voltage. Or use the flash off camera with a radio trigger (but be aware that radio triggers often have a limit of trigger voltage, too... some I recently watched are evaluated at 24 or 30 volts).

• Why Flash has stopped working?

  I have a problem of Flash that seems similar to others I've seen but not exactly.

  Flash stopped working on some applications - small windows flash in Facebook show and image but when I put the mouse on them that everything disappears. If I hit the right his spot will be read, but not picture.

  I use a few sites of video player, that is the same question - where there was a player - play, pause, vidoe control etc. now its White, sometimes black, sometimes white space.

  You Tube, works very well. Just LIKE at least a Flash game. (Angry Birds)

  The problem occurred suddenly too. I watched a large video site, went to another page on the same site, and all of a sudden, the issue that has happened. No stop downs, restarts, downloads etc.

  Any help will be appreciated. In addition, Mozilla, please get an alternative to Flash. It has been nothing but trouble and I like good Firefox otherwise.

  Shumway has been underway for some time become a build in flash player, but it is still being tested.

  In regards to the strangeness in Shockwave flash there are two stages of troublsheooing I can suggest:

  • Try to reinstall
  • Disable hardware acceleration in the Flash options. :

  Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in Flash Player settings. (See this article for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).

  To turn off hardware acceleration in Flash Player:

  1. Go to the Adobe Flash Player help page.
  2. Right-click on the Flash Player logo on this page.
  3. Click settings on the shortcut menu. The Adobe Flash Player settings screen opens.
  4. Click the icon in the lower left of the Adobe Flash Player settings window to open the display panel.
     
     

     

  5. Remove the enable hardware accelerationcheck box.
  6. Click close to close the Adobe Flash Player settings window.
  7. Restart Firefox.

  Just delete the registry entry and restart the system. It should work perfectly. It worked for me.

• Two issues I think are linked: connectivity and Windows Firewall status. Service dependency dose not exist or has been marked for deletion.

  Method 1: Restart Windows and try to start the Security Center service.

  If you still receive the same error, make sure that the WMI service is launched and running:

  (a) click Start, run , and then type Services.msc

  (b) double-click Windows Management Instrumentation

  (c) set its startup type to Automatic

  (d) click Start to start the service, and then click OK

  (e) restart Windows.

  Method 2: Restart the service

  Windows logs an error if the service IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules or the driver does not start, or suddenly, they end.

  To restart the IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules service:

  To perform this procedure, you must have membership in the local Administrators group, or must you have been delegated the appropriate authority.

  (a) restart the service. You can do this from a command prompt or in the snap-snap-in Services Microsoft Management Console (MMC). Do one of the following:

  (b) if the attempt to restart the service fails, restart the computer. This forces all related and dependent services to restart.

  (c) if the error persists after restarting the computer, then the executable files for the driver or service may be damaged, and the operating system must be reinstalled.

  Note:

  You can check that the IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules (IKEEXT) service runs by using the Component Services Microsoft Management Console (MMC) or the net start command line tool.

  You could always experiment with a WebRTC of your chat service implementation to see if you get the best ranking.

• Animation Flash has resized in edit mode after update to Flash Player 6/18

  I have an animation of size 700 * 415 developed in Flash imported into a page of 800 * 600 in Captivate, and using, click area for interactions within the program. Before updating Flash Player last Friday (18/06/2010), the animation presents editing Captivate like 700 * 415 on the page correctly, but resizes to really small after I updated the Flash Player. He still work correctly in preview but is more present than 700 * 415 in edit mode.
