My headset doesn't work / drop-in playback devices

My headphone stopped working today. The speakers are working correctly. They are not appearing in the playback devices. I went through several stages, as recommended by the Council of community messages. The headphones are not appear as a device turned off or disconnected. I also ran the troubleshooting, and it did not work. I have a Toshiba laptop and I'm on Windows 8. It drives me crazy that I can't understand that. Help please! Thank you!

Most often when a device does not work, it is because the driver is damaged. Re-install a new copy should help

    I was talking with my friend, everything was fine but I started eating and I turned off the microphone with the switch based cable.

    My friend asked him something, I wanted to answer then I switched back on it. We did this several times, but after 4-5. marketing, he was not able to hear me more. I tried with other micro there must be something with my pc (del or related more difficult)

    I tried everything already, even downloaded the MicrosoftFixitAudioRecording.RNP.Run.exe. I ran, but could not solve the problem.

    I use a DYNEX headset, which is a usb headset. It worked fine on windows vista 64 bit and I got my upgrade disk today. I have upgraded to windows7, but a few problems. My volume coming through my computer works very well. When I have my headphones plugged in where is the problem.  I use ventrilo for communication. A go by my President of helmets every time he gets static-y and rest like this for about a minute or until another sound comes through. People can hear me very well and clear. This is not a vent issue because static electricity occurs during all sounds, even the windows notification sounds. I've updated all the usb drivers and all windows update downloads. Any ideas?

    If you have all the updated drivers so you can check that it is compatible with Windows7.  Here is the link to the Compatibility Center.  You just make sure it is set as the audio device by default when it is plugged in.  Also, you have to go to the properties of the head set and ensure that no improvement is lit.  To do this, go to start > Control Panel > hardware and audio > manage Audio devices > select the headphones, and then click Properties > improvements.

  • Bluetooth headset does not work with Windows 7 - device is detected.

    I have a Dell XPS 1530, which had Vista 32 bit running. I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate. Ever after that the Bluetooth of DELL BH 200 headset does not work with my laptop.

    The bluetooth adapter and the device is fine since I'm able to search and find all bluetooth devices, including my helmet. However, I get a yellow exclamation on the headset under devices. The headset can be paired with other devices such as my mobile and works very well.

    I tried to update the drivers and reinstall the device and the adapter from the Device Manager. We have a similar setup on my brother's computer and it works fine.

    Another thing to watch, would be what battery is used.  I know from personal exp some devices work with Toshiba stack, vs the MSFT pile up.  Do a search and see if anyone else uses a different battery with these devices.     I see you have a problem with the sound from the headset. I'll try to help you with this problem.

    Try different headphones you mention. Have you tried USB as well as that use the socket? This would help to test the equipment, it could be the headphone jack, which is the issue.

    I just got the Dell Inspiron 3531 about 3 days and I want to use a headset for him but it has only 1 headphone/mic port, my helmet has 2. I tried to plug in a power cord in there but it does that in the headphones, the microphone does not work. Should I get a splitter for the two functions to work? Help, please!

    Your laptop has a headphone combo. It is intended for the type of helmet which the microphone and headphones is both handset in one TAKE (4 segments) plug, as either one of these plugs. (Sorry but I don't have a photo of a single plug from SOCKET).

    There is an adapter called the helmet buddy that combines 2 TRS (3 segments) taken in a shot TAKEN. However, we got very mixed reports on this work.

    Your options are so get an adapter, get a phone headset, get a usb headset, or get an input jack usb audio. Taken usb costs about $5 and you can use your current headphones with it.

  • Headset doesn't work does not after upgrade Windows 10

    I have a similar problem with Pavilion 500-249. No sound from headphones, well that helmet gets OK in Device Manager. Also, when headphone is plugged, speakers are not dumb.

    Says Windows troubleshooting headphones do not set as default, but 'apply this correction' fails.

    Support for Microsoft Windows 10 could not fix that by taking control of my computer for more than an hour and have referred the problem to Microsoft engineers. They had to call me today, but I'm still waiting, and 14:30 here.

    If they find a solution, I'll post it here.

    You have a hybrid system. HP uses the Realtek drivers on a Beats IDT audio chipset. This was caused when Apple acquired Beats Audio. Some HP systems manufactured in the meantime have material ITD but Realtek drivers available for download at the site to download driver and PC software. New HP systems now have audio-Bang & Olufsen.

    Please see here for the specifications of your PC, including the IDT audio chipset. But the download link for the driver for your PC (below) shows Realtek audio driver?

    I have a system with similar characteristics and have no intention to go to win 10 on this PC.

    The usual next step is to uninstall the Microsoft supplied driver and try to install the HP Win 8.1 or, if necessary, to win 10 driver for your PC. Here is the audio driver Realtek 10 Win. HP has win 10 drivers for your PC. You may need to modify the operating system and the version to see the Win 10 drivers available for download.

  • Samsung Ativ tab 3 power button doesn't work does not, the device always at 0% battery

    I write about a Samsung Ativ tab 3 I bought recently.

    The item was bought September 26, 13, model No. is XE300TZC-K01AE. The morning of October 3, 13, I noticed that the screen was frozen and not unlock when you press the power button. After pressing the Windows button under the screen, login screen came and I was able to connect to Windows. On the home page, noticed that the battery was at 0%, although there were about 45% of charge about 7 hours at least. I plugged in the charger, but the battery was drained down and power off the device. If the charger is plugged in, the blue light was not on and also the device wasn't turning on. The charger was kept connected up to 16:00, but the unit was still not turn on. After several calls and discussion with Samsung, the unit was sent to a service center for repair and the 10 - Oct.

    The device worked absolutely very well once again, until last night. Yet once again, the device froze and power button did not work and the Windows button has been used to unlock screen after several attempts. Battery was showing 0% despite his accusation of 78% 15 minutes previously. The connection of the charger, the battery was still at 0% but not more. Fortunately this time around the closed device not down, but after 3 hours of connection of the charger, battery is always 0%. I would like to know any suggestions to help solve this problem. I tried to restart the battery APC controller in Device Manager, but there was no improvement. I am also attaching the powercfg command results.

    two days later... the solution seems to be to simply keep going & not connected until the battery is empty (support of important things upwards at the same time). The fact that it took several days, I understand that the warning 'battery 0' is part of the dysfunction. During this time, you can sleep it w manually control 'turned off' in the bar of charms, ensuring not to turn it off (cos then you will not know if the battery is still empty) and turn it on the original key w.

    Once the battery is completely empty (no response from the original key, little blue light by power button / stop), you plug it in and it works.

    My guess is that explains what has happened before, when I (and others I read) he sent for repair. At the time where he got at the workshop had drained the battery, so they connected, found it worked, and he came back with a message like "you must have forgotten to load," the missing issue.

    Let's see: if it is something that happens after a few months, & it's easily solveable, it isn't so bad. As much as we can always use it in the meantime that the battery is empty.

    Wonder if regularly leave the battery can drain ever few months would avoid the phenomenon?

    Be interested to hear what others have found.

  • Bluetooth doesn't work is not on the new XPS 13 9350, Windows 10

    Just cannot get Bluetooth to work with any device, even if these devices work with each other.   She will see the device in the Bluetooth settings page and will get "associated with" and then "Connected" for about 5 seconds and then fall back to "paired."  Never really gets a usable connection.    Everything works well on this laptop.  I downloaded a couple of drivers from the Dell site but don't know where to go from here.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Here is how I solved this on my Dell XPS 13 9350

    1 removed my device manager bluetooth accessory (in my case it was a headset/earphone)

    2. right-click on the "Bluetooth Dell Wireless 1820 A 4.1 THE" adapter and click Update driver software.  For me, it downloaded and installed an updated (took a few minutes)

    3 reset

    4. This is probably the key bit (gleaned in a post I found on a forum of HP for a similar symptom).  GO INTO THE BIOS AND RESET BIOS TO FACTORY SETTINGS

    Without step 4, no matching rate, uninstall, etc seems to have no effect.  I guess this is because the different versions of the bluetooth driver write different/incompatible bluetooth keys in the key store, and I suppose that the reset of the bios that erases the.

    Once again I re-paired everything then worked... CLOSE.  for my helmet in particular, I also need to do this:

    5. go in Control Panel "devices and printers".  Right-click on the bluetooth accessory and select Properties.

    6. click on Services.  It takes a few seconds to refresh

    7. you should see a bunch of boxes.  For me, they were all uncontrolled!  In order to check their to activate these services (for example "Audio Sink" to get audio routed to devices 'Remote Control' to manage accessory buttons, "Hands-free telephony", to manage the micro call / voice, etc.)

    Finally (!)  I could then do a right-click on my Audio properties, go to playback devices and select my bluetooth headset (and change to the default playback device, etc.)

    DVD players, both came with the PC and MSI DVD - Rom I bought through the Internet works ONLY for playback of CD - r and DVD - r, but the two do NOT write/burn brand new DVD and CD - R, popping up in the middle of the screen,... Please insert the blank in the E floppy when I actually inserted in the DVD drive.

    I have uninstall and rebooted the PC, in the hope that readers DVD works OK,... but nothing helps.

    Wonder if the registry damaged for DVD player, or what other problems causing this problem?

    Have you checked if the CD/DVD drive you purchased is a recordable disc? If this is the case, there should be an indication (e.g., CD-RW/DVD-RW). You can also check for the indication Device Manager.

    If you have confirmed that it is indeed able to write on the discs, then try to activate the IMAPI. To do this please see the instructions below.

    1. click on start

    2. click on run

    3 type "services.msc" (without the quotes)

    4. in the window that opens, you select IMAPI

    5. right-click on it and select "Properties".

    6 start the services.

    I think that you have Vista.

    Looks like your earphones must be defined for the playback device by default because your speakers are still to play the audio.

    There is a white speaker icon in Vista right next to your clock, rightclick it choose the playback device and you will see the window come in the middle.

    Normally the speakers to be on speakers with the green check mark.

    If there is a category for headsets or USB headphones and told to work then you must right-click on your helmet and choose set as default playback device, then apply, ok and restart the computer.
