  • Lights up turn of the computer - monitor remains blank

    • About 5 days ago, I was using my computer as usual. I have a game, was talking to some people and play music, everything works fine. Out of nowhere, my screen locked up, I thought he was just a typical gel, so I waited a minute or two while trying things like the Ctrl alt del and alt + tab, none of these things, do nothing at all. To speed up the process, I turned off the computer manually and turned it back. After back on the screen remains empty. When the device is turned on and that everything is working normally, the light on the power button on the monitor to blue. When the computer is not turned on but the monitor is, or when the computer is in "standby", the power button goes orange. After turning on the actual computer monitor screen remained pure black, and that the switch remained orange. The computer itself seems to turn on normally, the green light in the back turns on and remains solid, the two fans inside the Tower lights up and there is the noise of typical general snoring from the computer. Since then, I tried to unplug drain all the power and turn it back on, I reinstalled the RAM, I checked the card plugged into the VGA port has been completely connected (it was a problem in the past after sending in my computer when the VGA port had been fried. The symptoms at the time were essentially the same ones they are now corrected again when an operator HP had me check if this card was plugegd, it was not completely, I pushed it and it worked fine.) Anyway, this time I tried this card verification. I pushed a little more to check if that was the problem, it doesn't change anything. I tried another monitor (with a different cable), that doesn't change anything. My warranty on the computer turns off, so my only way to contact HP for help is with the online chat, and this conversation has done me any good. They had me try all the things I had already tried and then just told to take it into a store.

    • I don't have something new installed recently, the only thing I can think anywhere near it at all in the last few weeks would try to load a camera to plug into a USB port on the front and put the memory card from the respective device in one of the memory of the computer on the front card readers.

    No, the second port works do not means that the embedded video is disabled. Here's a video explaining how to remove the video card. It has a tab, that you must move to release the card. Scroll down and you will see the different models.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01177594

    It could still be the video card. Try to remove the card completely and the embedded video. Since your unable to see the screen, you can not enter the bios to see if the edge can be activated but sometimes when the card is to remove the edge can activate itself. If no luck, try another video card.

  • Power DP500 G4 problems

    Does a couple of months. Randomly, one day after several weeks, I hit the power button and it was fine. Used 4 - 5 times a few weeks since then. Evening, after about 3-4 minutes he closed as if the power supply cord had been pulled. It will not feed into. I used a browser when it happened. I know that the AC cord is on, I can hear the power click when contacts connect with the machine. Battery PRAM (?) bed 3.7V with a meter. I took it off for 10 minutes for a reboot without result. I don't see any LEDS lit on the motherboard, even if I don't remember having ever seen one, but I read that maybe there a. (A few years ago, I replaced the power supply once the Tower lights up after a power failure in the area due to lightning. We seem to have several failures each year in this area. Just for background information, do not know if there is no relationship to the current problem. )

    Hello

    The battery check was made with a resistance of 1 K series?

    Was the cord power & all devices disconnected when you have removed the battery for 10 min.?

  • 750se envy: envy of the brand new office no signal to the monitor via HDMI

    Just got my new 750se envy and 25 x 25 backlit monitor. After putting it all together, I connect the monitor of the Tower via HDMI. Tower boots, display lights, I pop in setting up the drive, but the monitor says that it cannot find a signal. I test my old monitor to the new Tower (a monitor of series pavilion aged 7 years). Same results. The Tower seems to be the treatment given that you can hear what it read the disc.

    I take another hdmi cable and and test exactly as described above. New monitor, new Tower and new hdmi cable still no signal. Old monitor, new Tower and new hdmi cable still no signal.

    Just to be sure, I plug my new monitor to my old HP Pavilion desktop computer. Tower lights up as usual, and the new monitor immediately comes to life with color. I can safwly guess it's the tower. I open the side panel and check all jacks to make sure they are warm and fully attached. Nothing seems to be loose or out of place.

    I start to sting online for answers. I met this reset of the BIOS. Press F10 to 8 seconds, down, 3 times arrow, enter twice and restart. Nothing. Still no signal. Can I assume there is something wrong with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 and windows the cause? Maybe turn hdmi ports are messy? It was the only other subjects I really found on the issue. Everything seems to work, just no signal between the monitor and Tower.

    Since it is a relatively new machine, instead of hurt for hours to fix yourself, why not just let HP repair at our expense!

    You must contact the HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.

    I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.

  • Computer automatically "wake up" and unable to wake up mode standby when left idle

    original title: screen saver does not work, the computer automatically "wake up". Computer regularly become inactive and cannot be stopped! Forced to pull the plug.

    We have a Vostro 200 with windows vista. The computer still works very well except for two major problems. The first: the screen saver does not work. The screen goes black minute before the screen saver, but when it needs to switch to screen saver mode, the fan in the computer is a thud and the screen turns back on. The second: If the computer is not alone for extended periods of time (hours to end upward in a weird semi-off state). The monitor becomes completely black (the power light goes from green to orange) and the power of the Tower light flashes continuously. If we move the mouse or the keyboard, nothing happens. We are not able to easily to "wake up" the computer. If we hold the power button down for 10 seconds, the round ends. If restart us the breath fan aggressively, but the screen will not display anything. The only way to get the computer working again is to turn off the switch that powers the computer for ~ 1 min and then put it back in again once. After a time abnormally long start-up, the computer goes to the exact same State it was when he went to the black start (the documents are always opened ect.). Does anyone have a similar experience? I am baffled and could use some help. Thank you!

    Hello

    I would guess that you have a hardware driver that is not fully compatible with the sleep mode function. I would check with the manufacturer and system of the various devices for driver updates (do not use Windows Update to do this). If this fails to solve the problem, you can turn off "sleep" (Control Panel/Power Options, check the settings of the engine at idle) or reduce the State of "s" that the system tries to get into the BIOS system (if available).

  • Screen is blank, no response...

    Ok... I had this problem happen a few months and now it's happening again.  I have a Dell XPS 8100 studio.  The screen turns off and goes into 'power saving mode '.  Tower lights up, the screen will not return.  By pushing the button on the monitor delivers a message that there is no signal from the computer.  I contacted Dell and they say that the hardware is fine and it's a software problem.  Of course, I don't have a software warranty when I bought the computer so they want me to pay $250 for a guarantee to be able to go, re - install windows and do other things because of a "corrupted" Windows installation.  I just installed windows 7 service pack 1 successfully, as well as a few other updates until now I could not install.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

    No signal means there is no communication between the monitor and the computer.  The issue could be the cable that connects the two. You can try a different monitor or connect this monitor to another computer and check what is happening.

    Given that the computer passes mode this could suggest and issue with the power supply internal power saving. See the troubleshooting steps in the link given below.

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7hardware/thread/2242bc0f-6c7e-4df7-AF34-2df7741d0abb

    Also, try changing the refresh rate of the computer and check if that helps. To change the refresh rate follow the link below.

    After experiencing a problem with loading a game, so I decided to restart my PC. When he tried to come back, only doing things is the Tower lights and fans. I tried a few times it power off and put into service, but the same thing happens.

    So far, I opened the Tower cleaned the machine, re sitting the jury of the vid and tried the monitor with another PC.

    The monitor is good and are therefore all connections. I'm guessing that the jury of the vid is bad... any other possibilities?

  • Mac Pro Tower 2012 Unresponsive (Power Light On, red LED turn on)

    Found my Mac Pro 2012 Tower responds more today with the power led and a red led light on the inside of the tower.  The subject of research and could not find anyone who had this exact question (unless I'm missing something) and I also have trouble understanding what LED light and how do I proceed.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Remove all external and off devices, disconnect all external cables

    Check your GPU for dust/dirt/creep (where it "fits" of the socket), you can remove it but when undertaking this make sure that you are properly grounded at all times and the components are put in static free containers, then clean the inside of the computer with compressed air ensuring that you damage the connectors not blowing the white point.

    Replace the GPU and follow the instructions to reset the SMC.

    Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

    See the yellow highlight

    Plug directly into a wall outlet connected to the ground not a power strip or battery backup.

    otherwise, to replace the CMOS battery on the logic board, after that leave the device unplugged for 30 minutes or more.

  • HP Envy Phoenix 860-019: turn out the lights on the Tower

    Is it possible to turn off the multicolored lights on the Tower without having to open the Tower?  I don't really have the experience and the know-how to start sleeping inside a computer tower.

    @Sweeney139, welcome to the forum.

    No, there is no way to turn off the lights.  At this point, HP did not have this option available.  I had a Phoenix at the beginning and I couldn't even turn them off inside the case.

  • White flashing light on my Tower in early 2008

    Hi people,

    I have a Mac Pro 2008 beginning 2.8 Mavericks 10.9.5 running 2xquald.  Since the update about a month ago my Mac is acting strange.  During the race, fans will ramp up to maximum and keep doing this until I hold the power button to turn off.  After a reboot, things return to normal.  The my screen started to freeze, and other times the Mac will only die and restart itself.  More recently, the screen froze and fans exploded, so I held the power button until it turns off, but when you restart, I had a power light flashes and it wouldn't restart.  I tried to wait a few minutes and after several attempts, restart got the same results.  Then I unplugged all devices and it restarted.  I have shut down once again, plugged in, and it restarted correctly.  Is an OS problem or a hardware problem?  Thank you!

    Please after the release of EtreCheck

    <https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6174>

    <http://etrecheck.com>

    It is possible that you have some installed 3rd party additions that don't play nice with the Mavericks.  This happens often.

    You can also try to start in safe mode

    <http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1564>

    It's just an experiment, but it won't load 3 additions of party, and if things are more stable in safe mode is a very strong indication that the 3rd party software is the first cause.
