  • In Hotmail, I can see only the Inbox but can't open messages. Also, I can not open all of the other categories. It is only with my netbook and is a recent problem. From an office, the account is fine.

I was read and send e-mails from my netbook and desktop computer without problem. This week, on my netbook, I can only Hotmail and see the Inbox. I can not open the mail, nor can I open one of the other sections or even get to page 2 of the Inbox. There is no problem with the desktop computer. Is there something I may be changed by chance on the netbook that prevents me from using Hotmail? Thanks for any help you can give me.

  • Web sites are to lie on the side twice their normal width so I can see only the left half of a site unless I go to view "full screen"; ideas?

Whenever I use Firefox the page so that I can see only the left half of the some site; that is half of the info useful page (the rest is cut) poster on the half right of my screen so that half left of my screen right bottom of the site. By using the maximize / restore does nothing. If I swap the display full screen, I see everything well, but of course I lose my toolbars. I installed the latest version of Firefox with no joy. I looked for a function of setting page nothing is done. I thought that time would fix it as it is something that has already happened, but was temporary. Other browsers work fine. I thought to uninstall then reinstall but I do not want to lose my favorites etc I don't have to. Thanks for your help in advance; I hope that this hike makes some sense.
    See you soon.

  • The Inbox has disappeared from my list of IMAP folders.

My email accounts, the Inbox has disappeared after clicking the reset button in the box of IMAP folders.  No Inbox folder appears under the 'all' or 'Visible' tabs.  I discovered this after creating a new account (there are about 6 other) and noticed that there was no Inbox.  To the title of the Quick views into account, there is always an Inbox that shows the mails for all accounts, but the inboxes individual accounts I have reset disappeared.

No solution seemed to be available, even if on some forums ppl asks to see the Inbox folder are displayed for a short while, in the page of IMAP folder - I have not.  Any ideas?  Oh, it's on my laptop with 7 Ultimate; I have not tried this yet on my house last month w/Vista PC

    UPDATE

I solved the problem... at least, I managed to recover mailboxes.  Take a chance, I just simply deleted each e-mail account and then recreated the accounts.  Presto!  Inboxes are back.

I don't know why it does not appear when you create the new account last week, or why the inboxes of the other missing accounts on reset records, but apparently there was a problem, yet to be explained.

  • Cannot open Windows Mail except via the broadband provider - and the Inbox has disappeared

I opened the mail Windows, given that my Inbox, but took the option to open junk e-mail. Each action after which resulted in the sound of 'ping '. The cross at the top right was not red annd I couldn't close it - I had to use the Task Manager to close. Since then, I can't open Windows Mail via the shortcut or the Start button. I opened through my provider of broadband (Greenbee) - but my Inbox was empty and sent no later than June 24 items were gone too. I contacted Greenbee. They sent a test email - it happened. They concluded that my softwear was defective ("missing wappy" was the term used). What can I do now?

Try to compact and repair the Windows Mail database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Then see if it opens.  See also here to exclude interference antivirus: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 and see FYI point 15.

  • Windows Mail Inbox has disappeared... Vista operating system

My mom comes to me called to say that she clicks exit from e-mail power point and its all mail disappeared.  Vista operating system.

Error message: no items in this view.  Some items can be hidden.

I'm not familiar with Windows Mail and would like to help resolve this for her.  She gets quite agitated when things behave in the way expected.

  • A network computer can see only some of the files on another computer in network

We have a network of working with 10 computers on this subject.  One of the computers has been replaced this week.  All computers run Windows 7.

The new computer can see other computers on the network and it can enter the public folders on these computers, but once it is in a folder, you may not see everything that is in the folder.  You can see subfolders and files of worksheet, but he can't see the other subfolders and other spreadsheet files.  The question is where we keep our customer quotes, so he has many years of activity in it and must be accessible to many people.  All other computers on the network can see everything that is in this issue of the quote, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the security settings on the folder of the quotation or the computer hosting it.

The new computer is the only one with office 2016.  It occurred to me that maybe the 2016 office cannot see files created with some older versions of Office (as stupid and irritating as this would be), but I still expect to see all of the subfolders.  I expect also the spreadsheet files to be included, even if they could not be opened.  But they are not yet listed.

We tried to restart both the computer and housing the bid documents.  Nothing has changed.

I have never seen it before.  I would have an idea what to look for if he saw not a computer full or could not access a folder on a network computer, but I can't find anything to explain why some of the subfolders and files in a folder accessible otherwise are invisible by a single computer in a network.

I would appreciate any suggestion or idea.

  • Satellite A200 PSAFCA-01H00J upgraded to 4 GB of RAM but can see only 3 GB

    Hello

    * UPGRADE RAM PROBLEMS *.

I just upgraded my laptop from 2 GB to 4 GB of RAM, * but cannot access the 3 GB *.
I checked all the documents, and he indicates that the laptop should be expandable to 4 GB of RAM.

Oddly enough, the site of [mytoshiba.com.au | http://mytoshiba.com.au] does not list my exact model under "abandoned" (as if it never existed!). Although there are a number of similar models according to [http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/web/resource/pdf/discontinued-models/notebooks/satellite/satellite_a200_psafca-01k00j.pdf]

    _OTHER WINDOWS7 64 BIT PROBLEMS_

I also added a larger HARD drive (the original HARD drive wasn't @ ~ 19 months-) as well as a fresh install of Win7 Ultimate (64-bit).

I have the Toshiba site and updated 64-bit drivers as much as possible, including the BIOS to Mw10M520.ROM using winphlash64 downloaded on the net, the included winphlash (32 bit) of toshiba did not work as I have already installed Win7 (64).

Incidentally, I always have problems with "Toshiba Password Utility monitoring" and the software "Driver Bluetooth software" provided by Toshiba to [http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/a200/psafca-01h00j/download] - in the absence of "* Win7 64 * ' drivers I used the ' * Vista 64 *" drivers. Is this a problem?

    According to my system info:
My Chipset is * chipsets Intel® 945 Express Chipset Family *.
    My CPU is * Intel(R) Core (TM) 2 CPU T7400 @ 2.16 GHz 2.16Ghz*

    Hi mate

Please check this page of specification Intel chipsets Intel® 945 Express Chipset Support function

  • My Inbox and sent emails has disappeared... new e-mails are working properly. where can I find my former staff?

In desperation... all my email is gone. Empty Inbox, and sent.

    How can I recover them?

    Thank you.

First, check what is obvious. View | Current view. Show all Messages is checked? If this isn't the case, read on.

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
    http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compact

    Why mail disappears:
    http://www.insideoe.com/problems/bugs.htm#mailgone

    Recovery methods:

If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
    http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspx

    And see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • When turning on my computer, the screen is black and I can see only the cursor, how can I fix it? Help, please.

I think I have a virus or a virus that I was invited then in a different line of pop ups for unwanted ads and many ads of anti-virus indicating that I had the virus.  Last night my computer worked but when I turned on the screen shows my windows option then turns black with only the cursor visible.  I can access the Task Manager by simultaneously pressing Ctrl-alt-delete, but I'm not too handy with computers.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

If you can open the Task Manager try to manually open the desktop computer

In the list of running tasks, type "explorer" (without the quotes) and run it.

    Which starts the desktop computer?

If not boot in safe mode and try to load a restore point from before you had the problem.
