My iPhone safari search bar 6

My safari iPhone 6 cans back to the home screen whenever I touch the search bar! Help, please!

There is a bug in the world at the moment. Apple are probably working on it. To work around this, on iOS, go to settings > Safari and disable the 'search engine Suggestions' and 'Safari Suggestions' (make it white instead of green).

    Confirmed workaround solution

After the upgrade to OSX 10.11.3, I found that the Safari search bar was unusable.

There is a simple solution; However, it hinders the performance of search.

Click Safari > Preferences > search

    Uncheck the box:

    1. include some Suggestions of Safari
    2. Search for quick activation Web site
    3. Top Hit pre-load in the background
    4. Display Favorites.

Note that the performance must be affected.

You can also use Private Browsing Mode - seems unaffected.

    Can confirm workaround works.

In addition, for Safari on iOS, go to settings > Safari and disable the 'search engine Suggestions' and 'Safari Suggestions' (make it white instead of green).

  • Tabs and 9.0.3 Safari search bar bug

Since the update I have major visual and UI bugs:

-The search bar/address bar does not appear correctly (see screenshot)

-I don't see any new tab that I opened and the current tab title freezes without explanation

Anyone has the same problem, no difficulty for whom? I tried setting the permissions of the drive, clear the cache in Safari and data, all and still no solution.

    Hi all

I am facing a problem with the search bar Safari Smart of yesterday (January 26, 2016).

The search bar doesn't work anymore, I can't type, or search or write an http address either. I can only navigate by selecting a bookmark.

Go to preferences I have all the people with reduced mobility and the disappearance of the problem.

Then try to isolate the problem, I've found it comes to the "include suggestions of Safari" option in the smart search options.

Anyone had a similar problem, or have any suggestions on how to get it back to life?

I must say yesterday, everything working, I have not installed anything new on my Mac.

    Thank you very much!

  • Malfunctioning of Safari search bar

I just updated my computer and after that he began to climb the search bar on safari is odd. Whenever I click to show my favorites and sites marked, it appears and disappears, and his watch the web address at the same time as the web name. And try to kick it is impossible as it sparkles it resets the web address that was already in.

It is difficult to explain in detail, but I took pictures of the best that I could.

I tried to restart safari, the mac, but no change.

Also, while I was working on this post, noticed another problem. Web page options keep opening and closing and selection productuct tab kept jumping from bubble to bubble

Really just seems like all things acts as a guard hit tab or something like Im using the page.

Same problem here. I also noticed that:

-Safari suggests no pages visited while I write in the address bar.

-I can not use the bar to search directly, I have to write a complete address (ie: google.com) to make it work.

-Safari crashes when I use the shortcut cmd + L in full screen.

  • Search bar of Safari won't let me not all research data

I open Safari and search or try to enter a URL into the search bar.  Several letters in my driveway my hops out of the search bar and the down cursor in the body of the page I am on.  All other search bars (facebook, amazon, etc.) on the individual Web pages work fine.  The only time I have this problem is when you use the Safari search bar.  I tried a different mouse and the problem continues.  I did a test on Firefox and it works fine.  (I won't use Firefox because I like better the features of Safari).  I use a MacBook Pro 1 year, El Capitan 10.11.5 running.   I have worked with Apple since March 2016 and they tried without success: force quit safari, system fully updated. Has started in safe mode, reset the SMC, reset NVRAM, disk utility Ran. Reinstalled OS X

Please disable all extensions Safari and test. If the problem is resolved, re - activate the extensions one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

  • The firefox search bar does not work and when trying to manage search firefox engine crashes and I have to force to leave.

My search bar does not work. I can enter text and the work of AutoFill, but when I hit enter or click the magnifying glass, nothing happens. (The address bar works). I can't change the search engine of google for other engines by default, but they are looking for either. When I open "Manage search engines" menu opens and I can make changes, but then he won't and I leave firefox to get the strength to normal navigation. It drives me crazy, please help! I tried to restart the search engine, my computer, changed such parameters suggested by other pages, but nothing helped. (Safari search bar works, but I don't use Safari, so I would really like to understand how to solve this problem).

    This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

    Is two weeks.

I had this same problem. Couldn't Google to search in weeks bar. Drove me crazy.

Does what you has proposed and made a new profile, but simply copied to a file or folder at a time in the new profile in the Finder and started the profile to test to see if it worked or not for Google.

It came down to formhistory.sqlite. The second I put that in Trial, the Google bar stopped working. Found out it just saves your form history and past Google searches, so I'm ok with starting over on that. I'll just have to enter my address one more time on the next form I fill out.

I tried just compensation history form and search in Firefox, but that does not solve, so I went ahead and made another new profile and replaced the formhistory.sqlite from this profile file my trial period. It worked, then I did the same thing with 'default '.

    Problem. Solved.
