About 5 days ago my Logitech USB headset microphone has stopped working.  The helmet always plays the sound, but the microphone is not input all the sounds.

-tried headphones different USB on my machine (a no exit worked / entry)

-tried headphones with input jack then the sound card. (has no output worked / entry)

-tried all the possible configurations of devices of entry & exits in my sound options (nothing worked)

-Re-enabled the sound card integrated and connected only (output worked / entry has no)

  • Keyboard VAIO Flip 15 has stopped working

A few weeks ago my flip 15 Vaio keyboard has stopped working. Laptop itself is in excellent condition, no scratches, and it never fell because the purchase in December 2014.

    Help button (Help button works) I entered/bios recovery and I tried keyboard-useless, he did not;

Keyboard LED light up for the sleep/wake, start and stop.

When you use the external keyboard (usb) and press CapsLock shift, the led on the keyboard of the laptop hats block button lights on/off

I found that the Ark42 Member has the same problem with his flip 15 vaio (he describes how to replace the keyboard, replacing it with a new one does not solve the original problem, new keyboard also didn't work) in the topic "How to replace the flip 15 vaio keyboard."

So, maybe someone other has (had) the same problem? And what has been done to solve?

Or perhaps, representing Sony could share the details of this issue, what is broken?

  • Keyboard 73P 4067 Lenovo has stopped working

(I tried to find an answer in the existing posts, but didn't not found so please forgive in advance if this question has been addressed).

Have a new T500 and the new 73P external wireless keyboard 4067. Configured and installed the keyboard and wireless mouse and it worked great for a few weeks. All of a sudden, the laptop does not recognize intermittent wireless keyboard keystrokes. In addition, the keys shortcut quit working altogether. For example, I used to be able to support a large green WWW and the Internet shortcut button would appear on the screen of the laptop and opens a browser window. Now, nothing happens when I press the internet hotkey, or access any other key.

To troubleshoot, I stop and fell asleep. This morning, I re-paired by pressing the button on the USB receiver, and then the mouse button, then the button of the receiver, and then the keyboard button. This process has not helped the problem.

I have to re - install something? Thanks for your help.

I understand the problem for the most part... If the electronic keyboard or mouse begins to slide under the Bookshelf/Hutch of bamboo that the laptop is on, communication is lost. for example, the mouse gets squirrely and strikes are not registered.

  • The right button on my keyboard Comfort Curve 2000 will stop working... worked until today!

Sound buttons on my keyboard does not work now!  Everything at the top of the keyboard (back, forward, Home/Web etc) works very well.  What am I missing or what I have done to cause this?  help please.

    Hi fsufoxx,

This problem may occur if there is a problem with the USB connection on your computer. This problem can also occur if a third-party keyboard control utility is running on your computer.

Try the methods listed in this article to resolve the problem:
  • Keyboard shortcut ALT + F has stopped working

For as long as I can remember, in Notepad of Windows (many other programs), you can hold down the ALT key and press "F" key, then the "S" key (now the ALT key pressed) to save a file.
Also, just the combination ALT + F opens the drop-down file menu.

It always works on my XP computers, but on my computer Windows 7 Pro x 64 it recently stopped working.

Opens the Edit drop-down list in Notepad the ALT + E combination, ALT + O opens the drop-down list Format, ALT + V will open the view drop-down list, etc.
but ALT + F does not work (the underscores appear in all the selections menu when you press ALT).

If you press and release the ALT key, features of underlining of menu items appear, and then you can press 'F' to get the drop down file menu.

I'm sure that it is a recent issue since I use Notepad frequently and the ALT + F, by keystroke.

I searched the web, but the only article I found was here: is more ALT + F opens the file menu
and it says that "last system update (about April 1, 2013) seems to have solved the problem" but I don't have WIN7 until the
This year and all of the updates are applied.

PS - I know also, CTRL-S saves a file in Notepad, but old habits are hard to break.

I tracked down the source of this problem.

I had installed a terminal series called TeraTerm program to configure some WiFly RovingNetworks (now owned by MicroChip) microcontroller modules.

Apparently, this program hanging in the keyboard messages and prevented the ALT - F key combination to other programs.

Uninstallation of TeraTerm solved the problem.

  • Portege R500 - keyboard USB Legacy support does not work

    I have a Portege R500-124

I use it to dock in the office and the lid is closed, so I need to enter a password for DriveCrypt and generally control the boot/BIOS from a USB keyboard. But no matter what I set the setting that is inherited from the USB in the BIOS, the USB keyboard does not work. I tried the keyboard connected directly to the R500 when undocked and it's all the same. I also tried BIOS 1.6 and that's all the same.

USB keys are working and I can boot from them, but no work of measures (for example, F12 to choose the BOOT device) keyboard - the R500 doesn't seem to have the functional USB keyboard support until an operating system (Windows or Linux) has started.

    Any ideas?

I can't confirm this, but I'm afraid you're right about that.

  • USB external hard drive stopped working

I use Vista Home Basic Edition on a Dell Inspiron 1525.  I use a WD external hard drive for storage (almost a year) and it has been fine until today.  All of a sudden he disappeared.  At microsoft I used the fix tool and it said: relocation that the driver can solve - I say yes - device driver comes up saying installed successfully - but the disc puts to work continuously until I have unplug the USB or turn off.  Then everything went again.  I tried a dozen times, but it's always the same.  The only new thing that was installed today was a color laser printer & I don't see why that would stop the hd.  Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated as I need my data!

    Hello KBS406,

Have you tried using a different USB Port? It maybe your H.D. must be assigned a letter given that your printer may have replaced it, itself when you install.     How to change a drive letter: to change an existing drive letter on a drive, on a partition, or a volume, follow these steps:

    1. Sign in as an administrator or as a member of the Administrators group.
    2. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click performance and Maintenance.
    3. Click Administrative Tools, double-click computer management, and then click disk management in the left pane.
    4. Right click on the drive, the partition, the logical drive or volume that you want to assign a drive letter to and then click change drive letter and paths.
    5. Click change.
    6. Click assign the following drive letter if it is not already selected, click the drive letter that you want to use, and then click OK.
    7. Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm the drive letter change.

The letter of the drive, partition, or volume that you specified is changed, and the new drive letter is displayed in the appropriate drive, partition, or volume in the disk management tool.

Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

  • USB mass storage drivers stopped working

I own a Sony Vaio FW11S laptop which runs on Vista Home Premium SP2.

Recently my laptop stopped to recognize mass storage devices, such as iPods, USB keys and external hard drives, despite having previously worked without any problems. My Moss or the camera works very well. When I plug a mass storage device, I get the message "USB device not recognized". In the device under USB Manager, it appears as an "unknown device". When you try to update the drivers, I get the message that the best drivers have already been installed for this device.

I tried to do a system restore, that has not fixed the problem. I uninstalled by USB drives and rebooted my computer, nothing helps. I have read every thread he is about it (!) and I tried things like deleting a file Cache, without success.

It seems that there are others who have the same problem - if anyone has found a fix?

    Thank you.

    Hey selim2k3
You're in luck! I know your problem! And I'm happy to help you. It is complex and difficult to understand, but I try on simple. Just follow the steps below:

1 open the Manager of devices right click on "my computer" and select "manage" and then select "device mnager" on the left.
    2. develop the 'usb controllers' and right click on "USB hub root".
    3. in the open window, go to the "power management".
4 - That's the problem: uncheck the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

And I killed myself to find! But now I am alive, ha ha... "Sometimes the thing simple can eat complex in a simple way.

  • The USB headset volume buttons stopped working

Let's see if a second go make me somewhere...

I have the Travelite ASUS HS-1000w headset. It is compatible with all versions of Windows. I got this headset special for about two weeks before the volume buttons stopped to change the volume.

It is plug-and-play 'driver for free', so there is no update driver for him - I checked. It is always set as the default audio device to use when it is plugged. I don't have any Intelli-products (IntelliType, IntelliPoint; someone has suggested that there could be a conflict).

It worked with no problems whatsoever until one day, I restarted my laptop and ONLY stopped volume keys their functions for an unknown reason. It is not the USB port; change ports makes no difference. It is not the helmet; the buttons work when tested with other computers, PC and Mac. Nothing has been installed during the session before rebooting, not even the updates of Windows.

Still the volume buttons still don't move the volume slider. I have tried everything I can think of, including uninstalling the driver/restart/connect the headphones back in and let him make his case. My last stations are making a Win7 repair install and if this does not work, reinstall Win7 entirely. But, as we can guess, I don't want to have to basically EVERYTHING (200 + concerts) reinstall on my computer just to get one thing working again which, at this rate and based on past with her, events cannot be guaranteed to stay work again for much longer after that.

What REALLY bothers me is that seems to be the only person on the planet who is having that kind of question.

How can I get these buttons work again if it's something on my computer that affects their? If anyone has any clue that could help me somehow, I'll give you $ 1 billion.

(Well, not really, but darnit, I'm DESPERATE!)

    Hi Tyberious,

  • Driver Intel makes USB 2.0 ports stop working

I have a HP d103tx notebook PC that I bought a few months ago and was working fine up until this day, I installed the controller driver eXtensible host Intel USB 3.0 on HP website.
After you have installed that only USB 3.0 port work and not USB 2.0 ports. I tried to uninstall it but no love... Tried to reinstall but still no love... Tried to change the default settings in the BIOS but still...
    All solutions?

If this is the case, I would like to reinstall Windows before anything else. You will need to go into the BIOS and invites a booting from an external support of the Windows OS and go from there.
