Driver Intel makes USB 2.0 ports stop working
I have a HP d103tx notebook PC that I bought a few months ago and was working fine up until this day, I installed the controller driver eXtensible host Intel USB 3.0 on HP website.
After you have installed that only USB 3.0 port work and not USB 2.0 ports. I tried to uninstall it but no love... Tried to reinstall but still no love... Tried to change the default settings in the BIOS but still...
All solutions?
If this is the case, I would like to reinstall Windows before anything else. You will need to go into the BIOS and invites a booting from an external support of the Windows OS and go from there.

All USB ports stopped working Windows 7
Windows 7 Pro. All USB ports stopped working. When I plug a usb card, windows makes the sound as it connects and the card gets power (light). I see the map appear in disk drives in Device Manager. The player does not display in windows Explorer or disk management. In Device Manager, it has an exclamation point and says that the device cannot start.
Strangely, I have a USB keyboard and mouse and they work very well.
It's just the USB drives and chips and SD cards that are not displayed.
I have:
Reinstalled the drivers USB MB
Flashed the BIOS with the latest version
Tried to install the older USB drivers
Tried to let windows find the driver.
Still does not
None of this has helped. I ended up formatting the HD and reinstall windows from dvd.
This revealed that my USB multicard reader was bad. When I unplugged the problem disappeared.

I get this description of Device Manager: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
I restored the functionality of USB ports by doing a system restore before installing updates.
What should I do? Ignore ALL updates future windows 7, which leaves the system vulnerable? Help is appreciated thanks.
I solved this.

USB ports stopped working unexpectedly
Hi, I am currently on "Toshiba Satellite C655"run"Windows 7 Home Premium". It's a laptop of 2009 model (2 GB). Last night (24/02/14) my USB Ports stopped working, they have been and continue to read anything every time I have to plug my devices. I usually only connect a cooling block and a USB mouse to the computer. They worked perfectly until I disconnected the. When I reconnect them, they work momentarily, and then I hear the beep sounds when you eject a device. I tried to connect several flashdrives, a printer, and one I tried the following hotfixes:
Note: The order of numbering has nothing to do with the order, I tried to apply each patch unless specified elsewhere. This computer had Windows 7 Home Premium REINSTALLED at some point. Just for your information. This message was made when there are others with the same problem is due to the fact that no solution not specified by Microsoft Technical Support or the Microsoft community were effective.
1) System Restore to the last known point, where they worked (and still). (Point restoration @ 15/02/24)
2) Windows Update
3) turn off the computer, disconnect the battery and the power supply and holding 'On' button for 10seconds.
(Note: whenever I turn on the computer now they work only for a moment, usually from 60 to 180 seconds.)
(4) Start > research ' Device Manager '> "De Bus USB controllers" Expand and turn off and restart the computer. They are re - activate automatically but my problem persists.
(5) download and run "Microsoft FixIt.WinUSB... ", on the 1st, I had a problem with devices not updated. But I actually watch updates by using Windows Update and ""searching for hardware changes "" on USB Bus controllers "." I then did a 'System Restore' and now Microsoft FixIt found no problem but the USB Ports don't always work.
(6) will ' services.msc"and change the Startup Type of Manual to Automatic for Windows install and restart Windows."
7) regedit
8) sfc/scannow
I am really lost with this problem now. My laptop works and worked perfectly fine until this problem occurred. I have fixed minor problems with computers before, but this is a bad joke for me now. If someone could please help me with this problem I would appreciate it a lot. Thank you very much.
Thank you for your help, but I discovered something funny on my computer. My cooling package (product name: Laptop Cooling Pad NSB;) HYCF-6181-2 model number) is to disable my USB ports when I plug. If I leave it unplugged and restart my computer, my USB mouse is still working on a port. Also tried using my USB and other devices. The problem is my block of cooling that strangely disables my USB ports, whenever I plug. Thank you very much for your quick response, fortunately the answer might help me in the future. For now, I have solved my problem.

Logitech USB headset mic has stopped working
Windows 7 - headset stopped working suddenly
Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!
About 5 days ago my Logitech USB headset microphone has stopped working. The helmet always plays the sound, but the microphone is not input all the sounds.
Things I've done:
-Uninstalled / reinstalled the Driver Headset, USB Drivers, & sound card driver.
-helmet I tried on another pc (it worked)
-tried headphones different USB on my machine (a no exit worked / entry)
-tried headphones with input jack then the sound card. (has no output worked / entry)
-bought a new sound card and used the headset with Sockets (has no output worked / entry)
-tried all the possible configurations of devices of entry & exits in my sound options (nothing worked)
-Re-enabled the sound card integrated and connected only (output worked / entry has no)
1 odd thing happens. If I smack physically the pc microphone picks up which leads me to believe that somewhere the sound is just set really low rather than not working do not at all even if I turned upwards never slider that I can find to max volume. I get no error. Nothing has changed recently with my pc.
Technical support of Logitech said simply that my 500 DSP is no longer supported in the version of Windows 7 SP1. Logitech provides no drivers, etc except through Microsoft. Microsoft web site shows incompatible.
But after going through Control Panel/convenience store, he started working for the micro and headphones. Hooray! -

Original title: Windows 7 print driver host for 32 bit applications has stopped working
Hello
In my company, we have a Windows 7 (Professional 64 - bit) computer with installed on financial Edge(32-bit). We have been able to print from this fine machine, but recently we changed a printer of Conan for a Dell 2150cn Color Laser Printer (64-bit driver). Now, when we try to print from financial dashboard, we get the following error:Host of the print driver for 32 bit applications has stopped workingProblem event name: APPCRASH
Application name: splwow64.exe
The printer is not a network printer, it is physically connected to the machine. In addition, it seems to print very well, if we are not trying to print from financial dashboard. Unfortunitly, once we try to print from financial dashboard, we cannot print from something else. In addition, financial dashboard can sometimes print (this is rare). I uninstalled and reinstalled, using the drivers that came with the CD (tried to download through the Dell website, but Windows seems to hate this driver)
Hi IToccrra,
1. the computer is in a domain environment?
2. who is the provider of the financial advantage program you're talking about?
Method 1: Try to print in clean boot
See the following site:
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.
Note: to set the computer back to start normally, use the step 7 in the same link.
Method 2: Run the printer Troubleshooter
See the following site:
Open the printer Troubleshooter
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-the-Printer-troubleshooter.
Method 3: update the printer driver
See the following site:
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly.
The details of the error are telling us that the accident occurred when the host of the 32-bit printer driver tries to use the printer. Apparently, you are trying to print from is a 32-bit program, and is not able to use 64-bit print drivers correctly. I would also ask that you contact the vendor of the software (from when you try to print) to check the issue.

Check the configuration/settings (BIOS/CMOS) often F2 when you start - make sure that USB is enabled.
If a PC and if necessary the embedded USB can be disabled and a USB card can be used only
is not expensive. For a laptop, using a real computer shop (no leeks and glances at a Best Buy

Hello
Have you tried to connect devices directly to the USB port?
Try this and see if the USB device is disconnected, as you mentioned that using the external USB hub.Generally speaking, it is difficult to say what might cause this
You could try updating the chipset driver.
Of course, you should also check the USB port settings, and power management options for economy. In device manager-> USB root & hub-> properties you could disable for unique energy saving USB ports.
This also on Win 7 power management. -

A Windows 8 64 bit on it, maybe it will help.Best regards, neothic
Have you tried reinstalling the driver USB 3.0? Please try and check the functionality. If this will not help I recommend you do the ultimate test: back up all your data and reinstall Win8 using recovery media. Test it with clean OS preinstalled and factory settings.
In the worst cases, you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
