If I use the photo library to iCloud and optimization functionality on my mac to save disk space. Only, when I want to select an image in the selector, I can only select local photos, the optimized are missing. It is particularly stupid with my screensaver. I chose my "Favorites" for images in my screensaver, but the system cannot get those that is stored locally, not those optimized. Is there a way to have the always local favorite album? Or to have this fixed a bug?

You would have to export the Favorites to a local folder and use that folder for your screen saver. The optimization feature is fully automatic and you can't choose which photos will be optimized, what pictures wants to free storage.

It's not a bug, it works as it should, but in a no way.
