  Lightroom is not a file Explorer. It is not "air" inside a folder and see how many photos is there, just like Windows Explorer. If both should not match.

  If you are unable to import the photos, which means that they have already been imported and you will need to find in Lightroom. Then, go to the library Module and perform all 4 of these steps to find your photos:

  1. Click on all of the photographs in the catalog Panel
  2. Disable all filters (once or twice Ctrl-L)
  3. Develop all batteries (Photo->-> develop all batteries stacking)
  4. one of those 'missing' photos search by file name

  This is my first post.  I tried to get help, but does not seem to find any matches, so I apologize if I missed relevant discussions!

  I am using a Win10 computer running Lightroom 5.7.1 (and a user of LR for a few years now).

  I yesterday I found I'm suddenly impossible to import photos into LR from a network drive (for example my photos were on my drive G: for many years).

  Windows Explorer can see / access of readers (g) very well.

  Lightroom cannot import drive G:.

  In the Lightroom Catalog, my drive G: that were previously imported all photos now have the "!" symbol indicating that Lightroom cannot find them.

  Has anyone else experienced this (and solved)?

  PS the only changes to my system recently that I remember are:

  I changed my home wifi network to be considered 'private' and say to my computer "find devices and content".

  SOLVED!

  I start Lightroom via right click > 'run as administrator '.

  For some reason, instead of ensuring that you have a higher level of permissions, which causes the import drag-and - déposer in Lightroom to fail.

  So... just run with normal permissions, not with administrator-level permissions.

• Lightroom has lines in the imported image.

  I'm shooting with a Sony A7II and a goal of 50mm 1.4 Nikon with adapter. I HAVe computers 2 (laptop and desktop) with installed lightroom.  When I import files on the laptop that display images is ok; When I import the desktop each file has 3 or 4 horizontal lines at the top half of the image.  What am I doing wrong? .

  It seems that a different card reader has been around.  I deleted all the photos with the lines and imported using a reader of different cards with no problems.  If it's funny that the only appeared lines on files that have been taken with the Nikon w lens / adapter and not the kit lens.  O well something like that be done to turn the gear.   Thanks for the answer for everyone.

• My iPad 2 has suddenly ceased to participate its network 3G (three) and I can't find again

  I have the 2 IPad with IOS 9.3.1 and 3G connection to the network three in the United Kingdom.  Successfully operated it for well over the years over there. Suddenly I can't find the carrier in settings and there is no connection to the three network.  Verified that there is no problem of signal or reception through this network.  Have turned device off and on again once, makes no difference.  Verified that the contract of three network is still alive and OK.  I don't know what to try next.   Curiously, the iPad to my wife 2 - who is younger than mine about 15 months, has exactly the same problem. • Lightroom 4.2.  Cannot import. message files were not imported because they cannot be read

  Crisis of Lightroom:

  suddenly, impossible to import images into lightroom - a window comes up that says '"suite of files not were not imported because they cannot be played'. I was trying to import images - 10 images were imported from the shoot, then import stopped.

  I tested the card and card readers using cards of different cameras and using different card readers. I managed to import the images into a folder on my desktop, so know nothing is corrupted... Memory cards are good, my card readers are good. no settings not changed in my camera. Nothing has changed in my routine. Have been using lightroom for several years.

  I import via a card reader, convert to DNG and save on an external hard drive. All very ordinary.

  No, I contacted has had or knows someone who has had this problem.

  Impossible to get in touch with anyone at Adobe.

  On a quick reading, it looks like the same question that me was dead in the water for 7 days. (LR 4.2)  I tried everything - my card readers are good, memory cards are not damaged, tried different cards of different cameras, etc. Working my way through all of my tech savvy friends and professional, I've been lucky to connect with a person of great sister tech at Adobe.  After all the possibilities of lightroom (3 hours on the phone) in case of problem, we checked my external hard drive where all the images are stored.  Though even the external hard drive had plenty of space and "told" that he was in good health and works well, Adobe got go in properties/tools of the external hard drive and do a 'error checking.  12 hours later after the program has the file to a disk at the same time, he finds errors, moved to a separate folder, and now everything works OK.  Hard drive not to was not crushed or if all images have been lost.  As can happen after a while there was a scratch or similar which prevents more images being write (or read) on the disk.  Even if everything works OK at the moment, I'll replace it my external hard drive (and it's backup external drive) .just cases are more 'bumps' on the external hard drive.

  My technical knowledge is limited and I'm not intuitive that anything digital, so can't add more information then the experience I had.

  Well, looks like the location of the source is not compatible with the system or there is no appropriate permissions to make changes.

  Are you images import from external hard disk that was used on the Windows machine?

• Import files Nikon Transfer 1.0

  I'm evaluating 5.3 of Lightroom.  I want to import files from a Nikon D800.  I was able to import photos directly from camera memory card, but I was not able to import the photos I already transferred from the memory card to my hard drive using Nikon Transfer 1.0 program.  Is it possible to get these files to import into Lightroom?

• My office creative cloud suddenly IMPOSSIBLE to synchronize files

  My desktop creative cloud application has suddenly STOPPED synchronize our files.

  He always gives us a window with no option of viwieng the file now to synchronize. It's just a gray window.
