My PC is not running Windows 10, but preparatory downloads have my Windows 7 teacher away.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium instead of Windows 7 Profesional wich that I paid. How can I get that back?

You initially used a 'Anytime Upgrade' to go Home Premium to professional?

Have you tried to see if you can re - install Windows 7 using the recovery Partition?

Recovery of your computer (Windows) using "Recovery Partition" of the Manufacture or
contact PC manufacturing (see support links below) and order the recovery media.

Note: Activation is not required when you use the recovery partition or recovery media, but you will need to reinstall all your applications.

Also to save your documents on external support (if possible) before starting the recovery process.

Once completed, your PC will be actually in the State when you first purchased it and turned on for the 1st time.

To access the recovery Partition, start your computer, and then by pressing the appropriate function key. It can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12, DEL or tab key. Check the list below or your user manual for your brand and model.

Then, you must contact the manufacturer support team and ask for a "recovery disc" which allows to reinstall Windows 7.

I don't think you want to re - install. From what I understand, it is a call to a process which, for which there is no process to the left, most likely a left of Tune UP utilities or similar.

my touch pad on my laptop does not move the pointer, but when I have my mouse wireless pluged in it will work I was told I could have disabled the touch pad which I have to do to activate it again?

    Hi dove2k,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.

You will need to enable the touchpad on the laptop itself.

Find the area of the touch pad, you will find a button to enable or disable the touchpad.

If the step above doesn't, try this step.

Go to control panel > mouse > device settings tab
    Click (or to disable)

    Notes:
On some models, there is a keyboard shortcut to enable or disable the touchpad. For example, ACER, just do Fn + F7.
You can click on Reset device if none of these solutions work.

If you still can't touch pad to work, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer for more information.

I got sick of it. I don't have the possibility to reactivate windows under computer properties. And I didn't want to make the phone call to explain why I am reactiveting windows. So I drove back to a file image of seven and until there were now questions being a valid copy. At this time in my life that I have too many things to deal with, so I'm happy, I had an image file to fall back on.

I wish MS would get their act so that what made their operating system. It is not valid, but it is also valid if you please upgrade to Windows 10.

  • Kundali 2002 is not running Windows 7 but worked on Windows XP.

I have the official software of Kundali 2002, earlier it was working fine with windows XP but is not running in windows 7, I tried to solve the problem by compatibility feature programs but error receives that program is incomplete.

    Hi Nitin,

Welcome to the Microsoft community where you can find all the answers related to windows.

According to the description, it seems that you can not install Kundali 2002, this could be either due to another application is originally the installation.

I suggest to perform a clean boot, and then try to install Kundali 2002 compatible mode and check if it helps.

Clean boot will check if any third-party application is causing the problem, as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  • 0x8004fe21 - "this computer is not running Windows" - KB3024777 update does not resolve the issue

    Hello

My Windows 7 has been giving me some problems lately. I get messages that "this computer is not running genuine Windows" (0x8004fe21). I'm running a genuine version of windows, and when I check the properties of my computer, it tells my that I have in fact validated my copy of Windows 7.

I also had a problem when new updates to Windows Update settle not and after a few google searches, I have concluded that this must have been caused by bad KB3004394 update.

It has been suggested that I deleted this update, but it did not show anywhere under installed updates.
It has also been suggested that I downloaded the patch of "quick fix" KB3024777, which is supposed to remove the faulty update.
I did, and since then, the issue of windows updates has been resolved. Again installing the updates of windows, but I still get messages I'm not authentic Windows.

In addition, I tried all sorts of things, I found in online forums, but I don't remember exactly what those who were, because most of them were things that I didn't understand.

Maybe you guys can help. Thank you in advance!

I was told to run MGDiag and post the results here so here go us:

I don't see anything abnormal in your report - which probably means that the problem is a race condition where your AV is to win the fight for access to certain critical files when the Service for the Protection of software needs to access.

Certainly, it will disappear after a few days.

  • Why not run Windows Defender analyzes the calendar?

I set schedule to run Windows Defender scan at 18:00 on money under standard user account, but I find that there is no digital activity Records.

Anyone have any suggestions on what evil is?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions

    Hello Oem,

    Thank you for your response.

Only security software can run on your computer at a time. Having more than one security software installed at a time and keeping the two race can cause conflicts between them, which can lead to many problems of Windows.

If you want Windows Defender to run, you must keep one-third of security software disabled. As soon as you turn on the Defender third-party security software Windows by default is disabled automatically.

Hope that answers your question. Do not hesitate to write back for any further assistance with Windows, we will be happy to help you.

  • This computer is not running windows genuine with error HrOffline: 0x8004FE21.

Original title: this computer is not running genuine windows...

So, I had this PC for about 3 years now, and even more. Since this computer was bought so long ago and not even by me, but my mother, I don't know where all the CD or have papers for it. However, I know for a fact that this computer IS running Windows. I've never had this problem before. It started to appear about 4 days ago. I read everywhere and I'm not entirely sure what I need to do about it because it seems that there are many different solutions to this problem. The only new thing I added to this computer was wifi. I added a TP-Link 450 Mbps Wireless-N dual band PCI Express Adapter. TL-WDN4800 model number. I had to open the computer, put it in and install the stuff that goes with it. I did about a week or two before this message starts to appear. I don't know if this could be the reason for the message «this computer is not running genuine windows...» "is displayed.

  • This computer is not running windows genuine, even if his OEM installed OS and I recently changed my dying HDD

I've recently updated my old WD Scorpio Blue HDD(640GB) format tip of Hitachi 1 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive.

When I entered the serial number at the back of the laptop, it has not be activated and so I opted for the path of phone activation. (this was happening before too and I used to activate the phone, but never I had windows is not an authentic message).

Windows has been activated successfully, and then, suddenly, after two days, I get a message "this computer is not running genuine windows.

It's strange, because I formatted and reinstalled so many times before in the past on the old HDD.

As far as I know, the serial number is related to the motherboard of the system and not the HARD drive right?  So I don't get as to why is - that say windows is not genuine. The features of Windows Update is disabled for me...

    Details of the laptop:

    Acer Aspire 5740 G, intel i5, 4 GB RAM.

Installed antivirus: Avast Internet security (under license).

Is could someone please help me solve this problem? I really need your help...

I ran the diagnostic tool and here are the metrics for your info:

  • This computer is not running Windows genuine - help please

I use a HP Pavilion 6675, I've had for a few years - it has been pre-installed with Windows 7 Home. Now I get a pop-up message of Windows Activation Technologies by saying that this computer is not running genuine windows. If I click on the link to solve online now, he takes me to a page that whirles around for a certain time and then trying to make me buy Windows genuine (which I already have!). It seems because of this problem, I am currently not able to install updates for Windows. At rang HP support, they want me re - set the computer to factory settings - seems too drastic for me. Surely, there must be a simpler solution? I saw the diagnostic tool mentioned on a couple of other threads, so I ran it. Here are the results. If anyone can help, I'd be really grateful.

    Can anyone help?

That usually fixes 80% of these symptoms. I just got an email with another possible fix.

    E-mail repeated here
Another possible remedy for machines that do not respond to the
Update the drivers of fast storage Intel - the symptoms seem to be
identical in a report of MGADiag
This list of incompatibilities of file that we know so well can also be caused
by a 'locked' CATROOT2 folder - the solution is usual
Rename the CATROOT2OLD file and reboot
Unfortunately I do not know how to rename this file for sure. Now, I'm trying to find out.
  • Why not a not running Windows Fix - It helped my computer runs faster?

I did what was suggested; Disabling i.e. ad - ons, change the security to return to values by default, etc., but I still encounter the problem of the programs are SLOW to load, SLOW to shut down, etc.

These areas don't really affect the performance of the xp, of windows 'fix it' is not designed to do

no more... It would be useful to increase the RAM to the maximum pc. Try to run, type: folder

in the new window, go to edit, select all, clear all. Back to run, type: C:\WINDOWS\Temp

Delete all as before, all will not delete as some are in use, 3-5 remains at most once thru, output,

run the disk cleanup, defragmentation after.

  • local print spooler service error 0x000006ba is not running windows 7

All of a sudden I cannot print anything and I get this error message.  Using Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.  Have you tried restarting the spooler, but he continues to go again.  Had really hoped that this bug should be gone after the transition from vista to 7, but I do not.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

Go to the one who made the printer and get the latest drivers - download - REGISTER - install yet. When
ready to install - make a right-click on the pilot - run as administrator.

Use this method to clear the spooler and then uninstall and reinstall your printer (check with the manufacturer for)
    the latest driver).

Check Mr. Fixits here and if you use the other methods go back and try again later.
