My PC under Windows 8 keeps light... in itself alone!

Hello.

My problem is that almost every night, exactly at 3:30, my Windows 8 PC powers up and starts to run itself, off the PC with the hibernation mode. I searched the web, trying to find solutions, but they did not help. What I tried to do was: functionality of disabling wake-on-lan (or something like that) in Configuration of UEFI, also I disabled it a boot option to the PC by external devices like a mouse or a keyboard, the proper use of the commands in CMD. But none of this has solved my problem. Please help me, this gets really annoying... Here are my features, although I doubt that they really matter in this case:

Core i5 2500 k [email protected]
6 GB of DDR3 ram
Radeon 6950 1 GB
ASRock P67 PRO3 (B3) Intel P67
64-bit Edition of Windows 8 with final victory. Update updates

OrangePaws,

OK - Here is the answer * if * you have installed Windows Media Center.

Go to Task Scheduler > Task Scheduler Library > Windows > Media Center.
You will see a spot called "mcupdates_scheduled", it is set on "Run if the user is logged in or not" and "conditions", it is set to "wake the computer to run this task.
I just disabled this useless scheduled task - fixed. Interestingly, Microsoft have put the history of the task to "disabled" i.e. - No. EVENT LOGS.
I'm not technical support engineer, but I am a COMPUTER Consultant? This makes ;)
Enjoy a peaceful night's sleep.

  • My PC under Windows 8 keeps restarting with an error message

    Hey!

I am currently on my laptop what makes me able to write this question.

Whenever I start my PC it is quite well, but then maybe 2-3 minutes later the screen turns completely blue and an error message is displayed.

    Here's what the error message:

    ":(

The computer has encountered a problem and must be restarted.

We collect only information about the error, and then we restart it for you. (0% done and counting)

"If you want to know more, you can get the error online: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (avgwfpa.sys).

I don't know what to do, because I can't do anything on my PC before it restarts. It keeps going like that over and over again (I can turn off though, as I have to type my password in the start menu. It first restarts when I'm in).

My PC is a computer Acer and Windows 8, as indicated in the title. I don't see the specifications, as I don't have enough time to go and find them on the computer.

I would be happy if you could help me.

My pleasure and I also thank you for yours!

All attached files of the DMP are the bug checking, UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f) .

This bug check indicates that the Intel CPU generated a trap and the kernel could not catch this trap.

    Bugcheck 7F, {8, ffffd00024bcf130, ffffd00022180fc0, fffff8016b138df1}

    ffffd000 22180 fc 0 00000000 00000000' avgwfpa + 0x2ddf1

Right, so avgwfpa.sys (AVG firewall driver) caused a double failure that occurs when a kernel mode trap. It is a problem because the kernel is not allowed to have or to catch this type of trap, so a double fault occurs.

That being said, please remove and replace AVG with built-in Windows Defender from Windows 8 for temporary troubleshooting purposes, as it is at the origin of the conflict:

  • Advanced Power Management under Windows 98SE for Satellite A75-S206?

On my Satellite A75-S206, I have a partition on my hard drive under Windows 98SE.

When I run Windows 98 on this model, the drive keeps spinning (does not turn down), the cooling fan is still running at high speed, I can't dim the monitor, or use any other feature of the advanced power management is available when running my XP partition. The utility of generic power in my Windows 98SE (Intel speed step) management does not address these problems, even if you use custom settings. The management utilities peak power supplied with recovery for this model CD only work on XP or Windows 2000, and these advanced power management utilities will not install on Windows 98.

Is there a driver download, or is there software available for Windows 98SE downloads emulate advanced power management features that work on XP? Is there another workaround solution?

    Hello

As far as I know, this unit was designed for the American market and came only with a XP Home and XP Pro OS.
I checked the driver page Toshiba we and don t find all the drivers for Win98.
Unfortunately, if you use the Win98, do without the features of Toshiba.

  • OfficeJet 4630: anyone can print reliaby with Officejet 4630 under Windows 10 (64-bit) using wireless?

I have a couple of PCs.

    Both run Windows 10 (64-bit).

An upgrade from 8.1 64-bit. The other is Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit).

I bought Officejet 4630 at the end of September.

So far I have not been able to print from a reliable PC at all.

Sometimes maybe a page can be printed, but if I try the next page. The print queue seems to get hung.

Worse, on a PC (Win7 64-bit upgrade), I can not connect with USB at all.

Immediately after installing the driver, it fails to "print test page"? What gives?

(I have not tried the USB connection with other PCs through the situation. He's far away and so connected via radio.)

Strangely enough, it's the HP printing diagnostic seems to work perfectly. It prints the test page.

But, after a week of Calvary and see how works the test via the web interface, I now have the feeling that

HP diagnostics program simply sends a command that causes the printer to print a test page to itself, and not

through the path of ordinary driver through what print ordinary application data. It can be found.

Due to the failure of printing with a USB connection, I asked local HP support for replacement t

    hinking that unit was bad.

However, the replacement arrived today, but the same symptom!

    Agah.

I'm afraid that HP screwed royally here, but worse yet, it doesn't seem to be aware of the problem in the light of some

Reviews of so-called unconscious support people!

If someone has this printer works reliably on windows 10 64 - bit

Please let us know what you were doing. (although the chance that someone with perfect condition watch Forum HP may be low. You are posting and I read this forum because of problems...)

-How you installed the driver (from which source)

    -which tweaks you did.

I tried to install the OJ4630_198 and the driver is updated to Windows.

Windows Update seems to be a little better, but still stuck print jobs are seen after a few

tests and unnecessary. (Initially because of this apparent initial success, I thought that the problem was limited

so a PC, but now I think that both PC evenly suffer failure).

So far, I tried to change the PORT to a fixed TCP/IP address port (which sometimes seems to be feasible: sometimes not.) I was not able to understand why. Maybe the difference between HP driver or Windows update)

Sometimes after the Ministry of port, the first printing time works, but the

next print does not work.  It remains in the queue.

This has been driving me crazy...

If person not steps forward with the installation of reliable work (10, 64-bit windows), I think I'm going for it back to HP, although the initial cooling period has expired from a legal point of view, I'll see if I can convince the support contact.

I bought HP printers only over the years. They lasted well and worked like a charm, and the black ink was really nice.

After that, I can't printers recomment the HP to my friends more.

    TIA

[Driver in Deskjet 6980 works for printing with capricious 4630]

    Under improved Windows 10, too!

I checked it after upgrading my PC under Windows 7 64-bit of Windows 10.

After a few false starts, however, some programs are missing 'Dropbox' "Norton Internet Security" (?)

sort: I downloaded the binary Moose and once I let the Installer run again, they picked up the proper

configuration of the previous installation and started running.

I needed to tweak 'Register windows' but when I tried to run 'regedit' something 'Extended attributes are '.

inconsistent"and any program that requires administrative privilege would begin: maybe Dropbox and Norton Internet

Security has failed because of this issue. Surprisingly, I could fix this by restoring the default Windows theme.

(In my previous attempt to update, I put it to something Bing, a jazzy theme on the Japanese season, or something.

Affected and surprising finished showing 'Extended attributes are incompatible' (or you may need to

reset the sound theme as well. YMMV.) I raised this strange questions after the upgrade just in case

These problems are related to the Deskjet 6980 under Windows 7 64-bit driver installation before upgrading to Windows 10.

Somehow, however, the previous installation of the driver instance 4630 seems to have disappeared (maybe I deleted it before

the upgrade, I don't know.) So I install driver 4630 for * SCANNING * purposes only.

    FAX can wait a while.

Finally, some working environment for Officejet 4630 with using the Deskjet 6980 driver for printing

    is being created.

    TIA

  • Impossible to install an old Hanes program (Tshirt maker) that runs under Windows 95/98 Windows Vista

I have an old (Tshirt maker) Hanes program that runs under Windows 95/98. My Vista computer will not work the old program. I dug my old laptop that works under Windows 98 and, of course, it took the program, but I can't figure out how to get the logo (that I have saved on a flash drive) to download on your old computer! I suggest you run Hanes (Tshirt maker) program in compatibility mode. Run the program using settings from a previous version of Windows. Try this setting if you know the program is designed for (or worked in) a specific previous version of Windows.

  • Cleaning under Windows 7 cartridges

I have a HP Deskjet 6940 printer. When I print a document there are noticeable streaks in black text. I do not very often print and the printer low ink level light is not on so I know there is ink in the cartridges. How to clean the cartridges to print under Windows 7? Is it possible to do without the box HP Toolbox? With some older HP printers, it was possible to clean the cartridges by pressing combinations of keys on the printer itself.

Sorry - I was probably not 100% clear in my last post.  The cleansing routine that I've specified does not result in a test at the end page.  If you can repeat the test and when it's over, then press on & hold the power button now press the X button once, then release both.  A test page should print.

At the top of the test page, there should be models of nozzle test. Magenta, yellow, Cyan and black from left to right.  If you can see the models to examine them and check that they resemble full grids without spaces.  If there are spaces or if indeed some colors do not then print the relevant cartridges should probably be replaced.

    Hope this helps.

  • Database pogram worked under Windows XP but does not work under Vista

I have a piece of third party software that I bought in 2002 is based on MS Access. It is a program of inventory control with a number of predefined data entry forms and reports. Initially, he worked under Windows 2000 and continued running when I upgraded to Windows XP. However, after the upgrade to Vista, I get the error message "the Microsoft Data Access components are not found on your system. These must be installed to the program works correctly. "I've updated to Office 2002 to Office 2007 to try to solve the problem, but without success.

Are there other components of access or other software that I can download to keep this work programme (the original third-party supplier is no longer in business).

Furthermore if this third party access program is a "module compiled access", and then upgrade to Access 2007 will not help. You may be able to connect to the old Access db to Access 2007, but then you have to write all the modules to allow the use of the program.

If the program is not a compiled module in Access 2007, you must change the vba modules to be complient with your installed version of access

  • Windows 7 keeps freezing

My computer is having a bit of a moment, a long time, I guess I just install windows after trying about 3 or 4 times and everything is installed and was very well somehow, I had a big problem where all literally a few seconds my computer crashes and he'd jump up in the middle of my screen that windows explore has stopped working. Then, it looks like windows Explorer restarts and black flash so it would be nice again and it's a vicious circle, after a week of looking for the answer, I've read about the practice and sfc scannow scan that checks for corrupt additional files it would come back and say that it finds a damaged file but could not fix. I did not understand how it has been altered it was a brand new facility but anyway, I looked for a solution and has seen some talking about substituting a double no corrupted from another computer windows 7, I took the file from my other computer and finally managed to replace the file. I have re-run the sfc scannow and she came back, 100% fine which ceased from windows Explorer has stopped working error, but now my computer just seems to freeze again but without saying windows Explorer has stopped working then after a while to wait for me and by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete there are still no error come back for another few minutes and repeat the cycle. It's really preventing me from being able to use my computer, I ran ccleaner, avg and malwarebytes all 100% fine and clean I ran also drive spelling error found nothing memory diagnosis 100% fine I have no idea what it could be there are only two things I can think to mention 1. I have 2 windows updates I can't do they fail each time for Microsoft office 2007 update for the suites and one for the office, they just keep saying error try again and never work. 2. I have a hybrid hard drive ssd and hd sshd I don't know if my trying to load windows 7 on it 6 or 7 times has nothing to do with him or not, it's brand new and it's the second time I tried to install windows 7 on it. In any case it's really hinder me if anyone has a solution I would really appreciate it thanks

    ===========================================

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - set
SEE drivers to hide Microsoft - update those without drain in their names. (Also
updated the BIOS and drivers from the chipset on the site of the constructor/the system motherboard).

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
    you want.

It is not do it in "safe mode" cannot run what whether in 'safe mode' obviously, so it is useless.

Nothing in Windows can do, so make sure you follow what you install and remove any element t - it.  If you see happen, feel free to post back and I'll work with you.

Microsoft is no not any product that activates applications even if you do not touch the computer.  It may even be a virus.

    Hi Sudieq,

Are you facing this problem under Windows 98? If so, please see the information provided below.

Microsoft ended support for Windows 98, Windows 98 Second edition and Windows me on July 11, 2006. Because they are outdated and these older operating systems can expose customers to security risks. We recommend that customers who are still running Windows 98 or Windows Me upgrade to a newer, more secure Microsoft operating system.

If you don't have disks for CS5.5, you can download CS5.5 test below the link to your new computer to the versions of the page of the web site and then use your current serial number to activate it.  You must follow Instructions very important to do it right

You are allowed to keep the two machines with facilities activated Adobe software as long as they do not both use the same software at the same time.  If you want to remove the software from the older machine you should disable everything first (under help options) before uninstalling.
