Thanks for your help!

Hi metcastle,

I checked and this device does not have a port mSATA. It does support SSD. Hope that answers your question. Good day!

  • port of mSATA for E550

    Hello

I plan to buy Lenovo Thinkpad E550. I want to have a disc SSD and HDD. Currently, the Lenovo does not offer this option. They have either HDD or SSD.

I want to know if E550 comes with an mSATA port so that I can attach a separate SSD on mine. I want to have both drives as well as other with SSD hosting operating system.

Also, I don't want to go with full SSD option (available at a higher price) or a hybrid option (as SSD comes as a cache).

    Thank you

It's maybe a little late, but if anyone wants to know, I can confirm that the E550 has no mSATA ports.

  • LRT224 redirection port internal port different external

Port forwarding seems to work flawlessly - but I need to route allows you to say external port 940 to internal port 1005.

On most routers, you choose this in the "service" module or the module "port forward" - but I can't seem to find anything to indicate that the IP address is internal.

    How to do this?

  • Can I use both HDMI & VGA ports on a VAIO laptop?

HDMI & VGA ports are very close together on the VAIO Laptops.  This design is deliberate to prevent users from using two HDMI & VGA ports simultaneously. I'm trying to connect 2 external monitors to my VAIO.

Apparently, this is not a unique situation. I found dozens of conversations forum describing this problem. For example:

"Somebody found a narrow VGA connector? I have the same situation with one Sony laptop with a VGA and HDMI connector, just computer next to each other. I want to connect 2 monitors, but since they are so close, it's one or the other. The graphics card supports two monitors, so don't know why Sony would make it impossible to connect the 2 at the same time. "Posted by LDGrant on Windows Secrets Lounge web site.

    Hi odbad1,

Unless you have a desktop Sony (not all in one), then Yes you can replace the video card.  But if you have Sony laptop, you CANNOT swap out.  Sony laptops have an integrated video card / onboard.  To change the video card is to replace the motherboard (and no, can not exchange for an another one-motherboard motherboard are constructed for this particular unit and plug).

  • INTERNAL SERIAL PORT (RS-232, DB-9)

I need to find a new model laptop which still has an internal serial port (RS232, DB9) for all connections of equipment we need to do.  Can someone tell me if HP still has one and which one.  We bought several units ProBook 6570 b a few months back, but they seem to not be available now.

Louis, as requested, I write back with what I discovered.  The HP ProBook 640 G1 and G1 650 ProBook equipped with a serial port internal.  I am convinced that it is useful.  I ordered actually only a unit of i7 640 G1.

  • RV042 different internal port on a port forward?

I would like to set up some redirects the monitoring SNMP port, but some of my devices cannot be changed from the default port 161. Is is possible to configure a port forward for, say, port 171 who goes to a port internal 161?

    Hi Justin,

Not on the RV042 it only can carry the port 161 for example forward, and do not change this destination port number.

But if you need dual WAN ports with this feature, why not try its big brother, the series SA500.

If you don't need dual WAN port and only need a single WAN port with this feature check out the RV120W or the old RVS4000.

I've included a few screenshots below show the required functionality on first a SA500 and then on a RV120W

I need to define the service, I have not done in the examples below.

But I can before UDP or TCP ports regardless of the port, say 171 to a host IP LAN and translate the port to 161.

    Screenshot on SA500

    screenshot from a RV120W

Sorry Justin, may not be the answer you want to hear.

    Best regards, Dave

  • VRTX internal server ports

I have the impression that I'm going to a painfully obvious answer here but how do I activate more ports for a server blade in a VRTX chassis?

My two blades have 2 of the 4 active ports.  If I go into the port configuration in the/o GUI module, the other two ports show 'down', but there is no option to raise.

This makes me think that each blade server would have a setting for how many NIC ports internally it uses, but I can't find such a setting anywhere in the graphical interface of chassis management.

    What Miss me?

    Hello

I have the impression that I'm going to a painfully obvious answer here but how do I activate more ports for a server blade in a VRTX chassis?

You can not activate more ports. You have only two available ports per node due to IOM/switch you use. The IO module will use only the first two ports on each node. You will need to move than the IOM to allow access to more ports. According to me, the IOM is the only available option that has this port restriction, but I haven't checked all the options available to make sure.

  • Satellite A210-248 does not recognize the 840 ECO mSATA SSD

I want to build in my Satellite A210-248 on the port of msata ssd.

When I build in the ssd bios dind't find the ssd, so I can't install windows in the ssd

    Hello

Satellite A210 does not support port mSATA and therefore the mSATA SSD module cannot be used.
Probably, you have found a mini-PCI on the motherboard slot. It certainly looks like mSATA but its not the same thing.

  • MSATA is based on satellite A660-1FM?

    Hello

I'm a happy user of Saltellite A660-1FM. recently I started to look for the upgrade of my HDD to the SSD. I can not find answer to two questions:

    -did slot for mSATA SSD?

-support SATA III via his conector of HARD drive?

    Thank you
    M

Only the new Ultrabooks as Z830/Z930/U840W/etc... with an mSATA port. MSATA SSD physically do not take in a MiniPCI slot even if they look the same.

    A660 are SATA II.

SATAIII (600 MB/s) was introduced only recently in the new Ivy Bridge platform (3rd gen I Core series) in 2012, if anything be based on Sandy Bridge (Huron River) and earlier will be SATA II (300 MB/s).

But that does not mean that you can not install a 550 MB/s SSD, it will be limited to 300 MB/s, but you see not much difference in normal use, it will still be much faster than any HARD disk that are generally limited to ~80MB/s with slow access times.

  • 311c-1120EC: compaq mini 311 & mSATA SSD

    Hello

Please, is this model mSATA port for mSATA SSD HDD? I'm not sure... Is - this Port SSD mSATA or modem WAN?

    Thank you...

    Here is the Manual:

    Manual

See pp. 4-13. It is a WWAN port and would not recognize a storage mSATA device.

See p. 4-18 for the installation of the hard disk. Should be a SATA SSD.

  • HP ENVY 15 t-j100 (E2E34AV): msata SSD in the Envy laptop

    Hello

I would like to install an msata SDD in my laptop, I know that I have an empty msata slot, but it is intended to be used for fastboot files (according to my manual). If I put my own 256 GB SSD there, it will be usable for startup?, or I can also store files user on it?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Dear customer,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query on the Forum from the HP Support

The mSATA port on the motherboard can be used as a cache drive to a hard drive with an operating system installed on it for him to give a performance boost.

Cache drives are mainly used by people who cannot afford a large SSD to install their o/s and the most frequently used on programs.

I'm sure that the port of mSATA is used strictly to cache of a HARD drive with an operating system installed on it and we cannot use mSATA as first SSD to store files on it
