My printer HP PSC 1200 says there a paperjam, but there is no paper in it.

It did not work properly since we have a Windows7 computer. Now, it is said there is a paperjam, but there is no paper in it. It'll all work with Windows7? or I'm waisting my time?

    My printer (HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809 series) work very well under Windows 7 (64 bit) for 2 years.  I had a real paper jam this morning, removed the sheet criminalized through the duplexer at the back, opens all the doors/covers and ensured that all of them were well closed/Secretary.  Now the printer tells me there is a paper jam and will not print.  I swithched the printer market several times, with and without restarting the computer, and you press the reset button several times and even got the sheets of paper to be fed through the printer by pressing the reset and power button discount.  However, I always get the error message "Paper jam", and the printer does not print.

    Any suggestions?

    After spending some time trying to get the orinter work I can now see that, although the upper paper rolls 'transfer' work in rolls 'drop down' inserting the paper from the bin are not.  I guess the paper jam broke the roller mechanism and a new printer is necessary?

    It doesn't sound like it needs to be repaired/replaced with what you described. If it is still under warranty, I recommend to contact HP support for options.

    I need detailed help. Tried to get it from online contact, but made a mistake by entering the product number. He wouldn't let me edit/correct, if I get no response this way.

    ignorant here 72 years old computer. Really frustrating. I usually have no problem setting things - have done so several times - and that they install and work as advertised. Have installed webcams, printers, monitors, simple stuff like this - has never had this kind of problem. I don't know what to do and have now idea how to fight my way through real support of HP.

    Please forgive my whining and simple if possible assistance.

    It would help us if you can provide the printer model (NOT serial numbers), operating system and how you want to connect your printer (USB cable, wireless etc.)

  • HP Photosmart PSC 2410xi: installing printing HP PSC 2410xi Photosmart IP router works, but not the function of scan

    I just install my HP PSC 2410xi Photosmart all-in-one for IP printing via my new usaing Asus RT - 16 Wireless Router the router USB 2 connections, and it prints perfectly for my custom pc company installation Windows 7 64 ultimate.

    But I can't get either Windows "Fax and Scan", "Digitization management", or my image of 3rd party software to recognize the flat bed scanner with this installation, because there seems to be no separate "Device" option that can be selected for the parameter of the intellectual property of scanning, only for the "HP psc 2400 series", than Windows easily reconizes for direct installation of USB device , "offline".

    Also, if I try to select the option of "HP psc 2400 series" IP for scanning with my 3rd party software, and any choice of Twain and WIA driver is grayed out, so it can not create the profile in order to USE the scan function. And try to create a port separate Windows for the scanner function only, using the same IP address, only you will get an IP conflict problem, not creating a separate port works, anyway.

    Is there a way to get the dumpster to function to work through my router IP to analysis, or will I have to change my USB cable from the router to my pc using the offline option USB hub, whenever I need to analyze something?

    I must point out, that I still have to use the popular tomato, DD - Wrt, or Firmware of Merlin for extras, as a newbie, I just use the official Asus Firmware (last updated), for now.  Thank you.

    I see that you are having problems with your PSC 2410xi scanning on your Windows PC. I can help with that.

    First of all, I see that you have the printer plugged into a USB port on your router. Which can cause a lot of problems and it would be better to plug directly into your PC. Once done you will add a printer via a local connection, rather than via a network connection.

    Then, using this printer on Windows 7 Enterprise is going to be difficult because there is no driver available for this operating system. I found a document but that can help you troubleshoot. Install your printer using the Windows built-in driver

    I noticed that you are not able to print PDF or MS Word files. I recommend that you first update Adobe if you have not already.

  • printer says PSC 1200 Series: 'out of paper', but printer is not paper.

    Printer sucked into a pile of leaves, when I started to print a document, rather than a single sheet.  After removing the paper, I have re-load of paper to try new print job, but printing failed info and printer for this device says "on paper."   I was not able to clear this error despite the many re - start, re-loading paper, etc.

    I wonder if the paper sensing switch was damaged when it sucked up so much paper?  If so, actually that now require repair factory?    All possible solutions if it is that or something else?

    Okay - the printer is fixed, but not by me.  My brother took a glance and first determined that there always pulls paper in copy mode.  Who determined that it was not a hardware problem but a software problem.   I don't know the exact details of what he was doing then, but I think he has reinstalled the driver after uninstalling it and/or the software of the printer.   He started again, and Windows 7 has recognized that the pilot and that solved the problem.

    Technical support did not come to the top with that answer - they said it was a faulty sensor and that it could not be repaired and I have to buy a new printer.

    Thank God we don't listen to HP technical support.

    I have a new HP computer.  It is around the age of 6 months.  My printer a HP PSC 1200 worked with her.  all of a sudden the printer does not work.  The USB cable is connected and so is power.  I have a green light on my printer, but it still doesn't work.  Can someone help me?

    If a connected USB device is not visible on the PC to which it is connected, there are three places to look for trouble: on the device, the connection between the camera and the PC and the PC.  First, try the device on another PC.  If you know that island same symptoms occur, is the printer or the cable.  Try a different cable.  If this does not work, you need a new printer or your printer needs maintenance.  If it works on the other PC, you know that the problem is your PC.  Try a different USB port.  If it still does not work, try another device on the USB port.  This should give you enough information to determine the likely source of the problem.

    My HP psc 1200 'prints' a blank page.

    I am running Windows 7 on a Dell computer about 4-5 years.

    Printer worked fine until the other day when he stopped to find info from the printer.  If this is the problem?

    Thanks for the tip.  It turned out that kind Reader has been commissioning in protected mode.  I changed the setting and it prints now as before.

    Lately, the printer has been printing with the color green instead of yellow. The rest of the colors are fine. I tried to align the printer and clean the cartridges, but it has not solved the problem completely.
