my printer is not on my network

Hi all

I have a hp j4680 inkjet all-in-one, he put in place to go wireless, for a while, it worked like to advertise, but recently I can't print or scan, I reloaded the drivers Monday, he worked for a while, but once again I'll have the same problem. I have an acer 5315 running vista Home premium with modem to DSL 2wire it appears on the back of my printer but it does not see my network. My question is by starting my computer first, and then the printer is the cause of my problems any help in this matter is appreciated

I rebooted as both computer and printer: the same result

Thank you

    Hello

A USB device allow scannign on a single computer connected with a USB key.

MS Windows offer features sharing the printer to share a printer over the network, it does not include any scan sharing features and so such configuration only provide functionality of the printer to the client computer (XP in this case).

To get all features on several computers, you will need a connected device (by ethernet cable or wireless) network, such a single USB device will not provide such a.

  • Wireless Canon Pixma MG5320 printer does not

I got the Pixma MG5320 for a few years. All computers are connected by wifi. Not had any problems until yesterday. The printer is displayed in offline mode in all computers suddenly and nothing can be sent to the printer. I tried to turn the printer off and on several times. The printer itself seems fine. I did the same thing to computers. The printer does not appear in network. I use Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Anyone know what is the problem and how to fix it? This is the problem with the wifi the printer component and is it replaceable?  I have a lot of unused cartridges. Just too lazy to replace this printer yet.

The computer is XP SP3, is printer Deskjet 3050 has, and it's a WiFi WPA - PSK.

The printer confirms that it is connected to WiFi.

When I run the tool on the computer, to the point of network configuration check, the installation software detects the printer with the correct IP address.  It's the only thing he discovered.

I click Next, and after a minute or two, I get the error "the printer could not be installed on the wireless network" click Retry to try reinstall the printer on the network, or click Cancel to return to connection options.

This just cycles with no progress.  I have disabled the Windows Firewall and also disabled the AV.  No change.

I can access the interface web printer - but still cannot install the printer.  It is listed in the printers and faxes as being offline.

I'll try removing it again and add new-but-that someone has encountered this problem before, please?

Well, my problem is almost solved. I uninstalled the software and then downloaded the software of the printer on the HP site where it is more recent than what was on the CD... and it's fixed!

    Hello

The first thing I would do is follow step 6 in this document to set a static IP address: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02817031
When it askes for the DNS information, enter in Google DNS. Preferred DNS = DNS Alt = 8.8.4.4 8.8.8.8

This could increase the stability of the network connection to the printer downstairs.  If this does not help, let me know what OS is on the computer causing problem, because that could cause a problem?  Other than that, you can check the quality of the signal you get form the network and see if this can be a problem.

While I was waiting for your last response, I went my firewall and changed the settings (even though I shouldn't have had that I had not changed in the first place). Received your note, and downloaded the HP Diagnostic Utility. Don't know what he did, but now I have the possibility to print again. I don't like having my settings of firewall change, esp as he points out he blocked 393 points in the last 6 days, but I'm going with it for now. Thanks a lot for your help.
