My printer prints pages (photosmart 5510) I didn't ask, usually kids puzzles and stuff.

Whenever I turn on the printer, it prints pages of kids stuff such as coloring pages & puzzles. I ask, no need for that, so it's a waste of ink and paper.  How can I stop this? Im not very "Tecchie"!

  • The tablet of Microsoft Surface will not work with my printer HP Photosmart 5510 current wireless?

    I need to get a new laptop as my only current becomes slow and unresponsive, so I thought I'd do a Microsoft Surface tablet when they become available. I only bought my printer a couple of months, and it would really be a guy, if it was not compatible with the Surface.

    Also, I downloaded the Windows 8 Preview of consumers, and in trying to connect my printer, it wouldn't install because it did not support the operating system, telling me to make sure I was using XP or Win 7. After a few weeks, I returned to windows 7. Does this mean that my printer will not work with any version of Windows 8, either on a tablet or PC?

  • Photosmart 5510 not printing and noises when toggled or asked to print?

    About 6 months ago, we purchased our printer HP Photosmart 5510 alongside our Touchsmart computer, and so far, both work fine.

    However, there are a few weeks at random, when I sent a document to print, the printer started making a very loud noise, sounding almost as if he was that something stuck in the back there. Only to make the noise stop, I cancelled the printing and has turned off, which again triggers intense noise.     It seems that there is a problem with the power of the printer mechanism paper.  If the unit was loud noises, then it might be a part out of alignment or a piece of paper caught in the unit.  However, you mentioned the continuation of the measures is stuck, remove the paper, and now the printer gives error ink system.

    I will provide documentation of troubleshooting below for the two issues, but if these steps don't erase the question then I would advise to contact HP Technical Support on this printer.  Is it is only 6 months old, then it would still be under warranty by the original manufacturer.

    An "Out of paper" message on the control panel and the all-in-one doesn't pick up paper

    An alphanumeric Code (example: ' 0 x 'r' C2...) ") or 'Ink system failure' Error Message is displayed on the front panel when printing

    I use the Hp Photosmart 5510 series printer and is faced with a problem where I can not scan from the printer to the laptop.     I wanted to answer your question to have the printer connect and work on your network wireless 'new '. I think that if you uninstall the printer and reinstall the printer software and continue through to set up the printer on your network, it should work for you.

    Here are the steps for you.

    1 uninstall the printer software, and then restart your PC.

    2. click on this link, select Windows 7 and follow all the steps to install and reconnect the printer: HP Photosmart 5510 and 7510 printers - setting upwards to a wireless network

    Got it working again... the culprit was firewall.  I certainly didn't change or any recent blockage so assume another user must have without my knowledge!

    go in the menu Firewall: Firewall / settings / internet connections for programs: and look at all the programs have been blocked for bad reasons.

I try to print my wedding invitation. they are a custom size of 19.7x13.9 cm., I tried to add the custom paper size by following the instructions on the other posts, but this has not worked. paper/output is missing from the advanced settings.

    help would be greatly appreciated because I alsways bought of HP printers, but if I have to buy a new one for that I won't buy HP I'm worried sick have the same problem.

    You have 1 computer and 1 1 printer in the House

    You have 2 computers and 2 2 printer in the House

    You want to be able to print the home computer/printer at home 2-1 and vice versa.

    Can I declare the above?

    If so, there is a way to print on a printer from two places without having to install two printers on both computers. It's the ePrint Service whereby you can print emails and attachments to an ePrint printer by sending your message with attachments to the e-mail address of unique printers.

    Have you enabled Web Services and obtained two unique codes printers (which doubles as their respective addresses with the suffix @hpeprint.com)?

    I think that there is something funny, with (probably your DNS of ISP) your router's DNS settings.  You can enter the configuration of the router and change the google DNS or OpenDNS DNS?

  • Photosmart 5510 has suddenly stopped printing black

    I have a Photosmart 5510 new, which was working fine, then suddenly stopped printing black.  Replace the cartridge and still nothing.  Prints fine colour, but not black.  No error message, just jumps print anything in black.  Excluded bone by the attempt at analysis and still nothing.

    Yay! I'm happy now. I did the thing to chat online with technical support and that's what I got: on the front screen of the printer, press the arrow to the right, and you should see an icon "Setup." Press on that. Then press tools, then scroll down to "Clean print head." Press the key. When it's done it spits out a test page and voila! It now prints. I hope that this works for some of you all!

    A tried these last few months, a lot of time to get the HP works as it should work (especially the airprinting and scan) without any success.  We used with IP printing/scanning, which wasn't a problem, but does not give us the full possibility of the HP printer.

    Today I bought an apple Extreme airport, connect and a few seconds later all works perfect

    In the end, so it was the TL-WR741N (the latter replaced by apple airport) that give problems.

    I just wanted you to know and say thank you for the support you give.
