Everything works fine on my printer except that it does not turn off unless I unplug it. Can anyone help?
Is it updated? Assuming that it is connected wireless network and that Web Services are enabled on the front of the printer: configuration > Preferences > product update.
When I tried to print a photo, 'print picture', "remove red-eye" and "power" button and the indicator "wireless network" will begin to Flash. I cancelled the print job and tried to put off the printer. When I push the power button the initial screen appears for about 10 seconds and C2FE0162 (I think) flashes twices for less than a second, followed by the screen turning white and the lights flashing. I tried unplugging the cables, etc., but can not get the printer to turn off or reset. Help?
I understand that you have an HP printer that keeps giving you flashing lights and does anything currently. I'm sorry to hear that, but he's going to do my best to help you after collecting a little more information
1. what model HP printer work?
2. is the printer connected directly to a wall outlet?
3 have you tried pulling the power cord for a few minutes and reconnect?
I can't wait to hear back from you, have a nice day!
Even if double-sided printing is NOT selected in the printer properties, printing all ask for double-sided printing. So if I go to print a single page printjob, the computer asks to have the blank page that was 'printed' just to get back in the tray.
How can I get this fixed?
Welcome to the HP Support forum.
I understand that you use a HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer with a Windows 10 computer and when you try to print a single page, the printer ejects a blank page and ten invites you to put in the tray, so the second side can be printed, even if double-sided printing is not selected. I would like to help with that.
This really looks like a software problem. I would like to start by running this HP print and Scan Doctor. It is a tool that allows you to diagnose and solve the problems of printing software and printer.
Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

When I shutdown/hibernate/standby/resume my laptop, it will die completely.
All programs will be closed (when stop or restart) and I think that OS will also close. But the laptop will not turn off. Power LIGHT and fan will stay on.
And when I try to Hibernate, everything is ok, but I have the same problem.
Whenever I have to turn it off by holding the power button, otherwise the battery will be discharged.
After manual turn off, when I turn it on again, everything works correctly:
-If hibernation: OS will continue to last situation.
-If start/stop: OS works normally without error or warning.
After sleep, OS works from the beginning. Because the data stored in RAM and will be deleted after power off.
Perhaps a portable automatic perevent equipment turned off. All the drivers are up to date.
Is there a parameter/software to check and fix my problem?
You are welcome
On some machines, the pilot for 11 series IMEI has been known to cause that kind of question of the judgment, so it may be worth trying an earlier version.
You can use the following method to install an earlier version of the driver IMEI.
Download driver IMEI on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.
Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).
Open your download folder and run the installer - it warns you that it is an earlier version, but simply continue.
When finished, restart the laptop.
If the computer shuts down correctly, turn on your wireless adapter and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the driver IMEI again.

I have a laptop dv2415nr Pavilion and it will not turn off. I recently downloaded some security software and it is not stopped since the download.
I recommend that you make sure you have your license key for webroot. Uninstall the software and reboot. If that solves the problem, it's time to go to the Webroot support and ask their tech support that it.
I'm having the same problem as described by others, "error of 8500 HP B87126D0, unit not turn off or print.
I followed all the instructions from documeneted on this thread. I also replaced the power Module, in the hope that would solve my problem. I have an OFFICE JET PRO 8500 A909n PRIME
Not sure why the solution cannot be posted here, as I see many others with this same error and the exact symptoms.
Whatever it is, I really appreciate a solution 'private' as well. Really, I love this printer and would rather not have buy another.
Thanks in advance!

I have a 8500 a which worked well in the past. It is set up as a network printer. last week went to use the printer and the power button has been lit in green and then dimmed and then back to green, a slow pulse glow. I couldn't be able to top or power down. LCD screen was also incarcerated. I have one plugged in the unit from the wall and waited a few minutes. Clogged again and it went through the start of the SS. tried to no print, no luck, lcd screen calmed locked and I can not turn off the machine using the power button. Help
Please perform the below mentioned steps that should solve the problem.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Power to the router.
- Connect the power cord to the printer. If the printer does not power ON automatically, then press the power button on the printer.
- After the printer is in sleep mode, do a copy of the document or image.
- Now, you can power on the router

I work for HP
In Control Panel > accessibility > Ease of Access Center > use text or Visual alternatives for sounds.
I have unchecked everything, boxes, choose 'none' for "Visual alert has chosen" and it does not turn off.
Is anyway to fix this or reset the ease of access/panel seetings?
You may experience this problem if the Windows system files are damaged. First try to restart the computer and check. Follow these methods and check if that helps:
Method 1: you cannot reset the accessibility settings, but you can try to perform the system restore and check if it helps. Follow these steps:
- Press the Windows key + R
- Type rstrui and then press ENTER.
- Click Next and choose the restore point, when your computer was working fine.
For more information, see: How to restore, refresh or reset your PC
System Restore warning: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
Method 2: I suggest you run the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker and check if it helps. The tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker scans missing or system corrupted files and repairs them.
Run the System File Checker to see if you have corrupted system files.
Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files
Additional information: text use or alternatives to the Visual sounds
I hope this helps. If you need help with Windows, let us know and will be happy to help you.
my MacBook Pro 13 "2013 retina is not turned off properly after installing macOS Sierra.
It takes about 20 minutes after clicking n closed. The screen is black and miss me closed animation (this circle loading bit). After a long time the circle appear and it takes 10-20 seconds (normal closing time) to shut down my computer.
To me it seems that there is a program or task that can not shut down properly.
How to see what program slowed down the process of closing?
Thank you very much for your help!

Hi, just bought this laptop (5 days), the cooling fan is not turned off, the computer feels cool so don't know why it has run all the time. Read other articles on the upgrade of the BIOS but wouldn't go the upgrade in case missed me something obvious. It is a laptop replacement after the last Toshiba laptop (3 weeks old) no longer works in total. Prefer if possible to fix this with the help, rather than lose the computer for 3/4 weeks for repair, any advice would be greatly received.
I put t know how you use your laptop computer but try to please use it with balanced power management. Change coolant also option method of optimized battery option. Cooling method you can find in the power options advanced > Toshiba Power saver settings.
Please test and send feedback.
I recently bought a Palm Tunsten E2 (by ebay, fully functional working condition) and it worked fine for a few hours affter, I got it. It's now at random intervals, do not turn off. I have to soft reset it before it don't let me stop, but it is on the property.
Also when I turn it on sometimes it acs like I was pressing a bunch of buttons when I'm not.
There is a possibility that it is a software problem.
If you did a hard reset and do not synchronize, you always observe the device and you get the same problem then it is a hardware problem already. But if not try this:
1. perform a hard reset on the device. as mentioned, this erases all data on the handheld.
2. If you're hotsynching to outlook, you can then hotsync directly to a new username.
3. If you are Palm dekstop hotsynching then you need to change some settings. You must rename the backup fodler in the directory c:/program files/palm / (userfolder). Once found the backup folder, click right backup and click Rename. Rename it to backupold. Once done. close the open windows.
4. change the settings of PIMs on desktop replaces handheld. Click the hotsync Manager. go to custom. the custom window title, make sure you are under the correct user name. Search the PIMs and change desktop replaces handheld.
Click ok and fact and then hotsync for the same username.
hope this one works.
Message relates to: Tungsten E
I have not tested with the settings on my Tungsten, and now all of a sudden, it does not turn off. I don't know what happened. If disable it, it lights up again in exactly 10 seconds. Because it stays on all the time, when it's not charging, the battery dies after a few hours. I tried to reset, too. Any suggestions?
