  Nightmare; perfectly working windows 7 64-bit configuration I upgraded (stupidly) to Windows 8 (it seems installing a 32-bit version for my troubles).   Simple repair that has worked for me.

  If you have a windows install disc (if you borrow 1 from a friend)

  run the disk at startup, press on f9 to choose cd rom as boot, press a key when it asks you,

  Let the disc to the refreshment of startup repair section, choose Advanced & go to the command prompt and type.

  Bootrec/fixmbr

  Bootrec.exe/fixboot

  Bootrec.exe/RebuildBcd

  When all this is over, it will show that your o/s and the reader don't worry if it shows as D instead of C, it is because the system resource use C at this point, it will ask you if you want to add this player to your startup type Y and your good to go, your old win 8 will draw upward as it did before spread the word.

  Wake up, a dialog box appears. "com.apple.icloudhelper.xpc wants to use the bunch of frobnutz.

  This "frobnutz" keychain is locked (intentionally). I would like to move whatever it is that icloudhelper wants in the (unlocked in the morning) set of connection. But I can't understand how he wants and nobody bothered to do the '? ' position in the dialog box actually provides the answer (as we might suspect or at least hope).

  How can I find the * specific * point to?

  I am explicitly * not * looking for information about the reconstruction of keychains, Keychain repair or none of it. Which behaves properly, it's that icloud has stored some information about the evil keychain and I need to figure out what that specific information is so I can move it to the correct keychain.

• HP Pavilion TS15 Touch: LAN failed to get a valid IP address

  For the past few weeks my wifi would fall intermittently and gives me a network not found error when I tried to reconnect. I was only able to connect to restarting the laptop. Today, I got fired in offline mode, but this time to reboot didn't work. When I ran MS diagnosis it is said to be impossible to repair, because none of my LAN connections (for some reason that I have 5 of them) have valid IP configurations.

  I've tried every tip I got various commissions (via Google) and nothing works.

  I'm typing this message through my Kindle Fire since it's the only way I can get online right now.

  After months of work (I also took advice of the older sons in other discussion forums for my question) I came across the fix!

  Long story short, somehow my autoconfiguration WLAN service has been turned off and starting was fixed forever (or something similar). I put it on "Auto" and then I started it and voila! my wireless is back and now I can surf the web without ethernet cable.

  I just wanted to post this in case anyone else has this same problem.

  I have the problem with my VPN from last auto Win update MAJOR - 16/10/2014

  My VPN worked fine until this update. Since then, I have a lot of different errors when I try to connect to this VPN again (from another PC with the same credentials is fine).

  When I now try to connecto to VPN I have Error 711 first and later of 609. I tried a lot of repairs, and none worked.

  • Fax - Fax on the local computer and stop service. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.
  • Remote access auto connection manager - Windows could not start the remote access auto connection service manager on the local computer. Error 0 x 80000048: 0 x 80000048
  • Remote access connection manager - automatic game and the Service started successfully
  • ICS - Internet connection sharing service on the local computer on the road and stop. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.
  • Routing and remote access - auto play and the Service started successfully
  • Telephony - Works Fine - set as automatic and Service started successfully

  my suggestion is why not add a feature you never want to turn off the device you should be prompted to enter the passcode or touch ID.

  That suggestion has already spoken here several times and one big problem that I remember previous debates is that a relatively common method to repair a non-functional phone restart. If it does not work properly it is not a way to enter the access code or press ID and therefore no way to restart it. He could have other reasons as well. In any case, it is a user support forum. • Replacement of the frame and hinges - HP Pavilion dm4 laptop

  I have a HP Pavilion dm4 laptop of 2.5 years. The first hinged on both sides broke that makes it harder for the laptop to close properly and now the frame is breaking apart. Is there a way I can get/buy replacements before other parts are screwed up.

  Yes, I also have this problem (dm4-1050ea).

  It all started on February 2015, when my aunt noticedv that my laptop was nt close properly.  It could be be made to do by pressing half upper (screen cut) to the front to the rear of the closure.

  The hinges then becomes deective that the screen don't would not SOUPLESE nd would not sit just to the place (angle) you open to.

  Following the hinges too stiff beame to exploit, came shortly after the left of the screen/lid and the window broke near the LH hinge (rather than though the bezel as shown in the image above). Then the right hinge broke off, then the screen become deective (mainly a band along the LHS - worked with detached hinges OK))

  So, I find myself with computer work, not 100% functional & broken and needs special care to use. the screen does not work in all areas (a replacement looks like £30-$50), with the virtually hanging screen, need to rplace lying hinges (£10-$15) and also nees any other bits (?) and the knowledge to fix it.  HP say they can't stand any more of this model and have no theparts (from end of 2015).

  It may be beyond the capacity of an almighty ccompany such as HP to find parts, but it does not seem beyond the my ability to get parts of - maybe-2nd hand - other HP broke! - But what I lak is kno detailed ho a skill to perform any repair.

• Satellite C660 - Blank - no exit - external display OK

  I recently bought a C660 on ebay as a project of repair of non-working, listed as having no output on the LED screen, but works fine on an external monitor.

  After stripping it down, I found that the 40-pin to the LED panel connector has 3 pins damaged on the left side, so assuming that it is the question, I've got another cable and rebuilt. However, still no output for the Panel LED, but everything works fine on an external monitor.

  As I have a new Panel to spare in stock, the next step was to replace the LED panel - still no output, except for the external monitor.

  I checked the setting for video output (Fn + F5), and it is no different on any setting.

  I saw a couple of threads here where people have problems with no video output after a BIOS update (however I do not know if this was done or not in this case).

  Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could check to see what could be the problem?

  If the BIOS update fails, the unit does not illuminate and translates the black screen, but has nothing to do with your problem. The external monitor works properly this BIOS is OK.

  Your problem is related to the faulty internal display or the connection between the monitor and the motherboard.
  Both must be checked!

• Problems of excessive noise and fan performance.

  (I found a few similar posts, none seem to have any kind of resolution. I already submitted details to the comments for OS - X and MacBook Pro, because I know that Apple doesn't really care these forums.)

  I'm computer LITERATE in a company with more than 40 Macs. Most are 15 "and 13" MacBook Pro retinas, with some older MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and Mac mini. Almost all have had many problems of performance and especially complaints relating to noise fan since the upgrade to El Capitan.

  All Macs seem to rotate at about twice their original fan speed, even at idle with nothing else running in the foreground. If something - it is actually worse with time and not better. Some of them seem to be entering a mode "overheating" and the limitation of the CPU frequently, even with no real warning to the user. We receive complaints from fans go "full throttle" and not something unusual applications of grinding to a halt, while the activity monitor recount. Even these days - I'm writing this, my MacBook Pro runs only Safari and mail and fans just 15 "kicking until probably at 80% for no apparent reason. The CPU load is only about 8% currently according to activity monitor.

  The usual "fix" to a SMC reset and a clean install of the operating system seems to have no effect. We spent a lot of time in recent weeks reset wiping of Macs to try to resolve these problems. They are located on machines that have been almost completely unless they were actually under heavy load (such as virtual computers running or doing graphics/video editing), with the only change being an 'upgrade' to El Capitan.

  New - the same questions and complaints are reported in almost all of our Macs. I noticed similar problems on my MBP of House. I have a Mac Mini in my office who spends just Safari to view a network monitor page. It used to be silent and cycles now the fan and turns off often.

  At least while taking into account what is actually run on them, as well as information from the activity monitor, it does not appear that the CPU is overheating. It seems that something has gone wrong with the heat in recent management, as El Capitan assign a lower threshold than before well. I am everything to keep these systems cool, especially since Mbit/s in particular seem to run pretty hot anyway, but when the noise of the fans like a small jet taking off-it is a problem for many people.

  If anyone has found a solution to this, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise - if you are having similar problems - please send to Apple Feedback then perhaps they will at least look at or respond.

  If you run any antivirus Mac remove the system. A 3rd party cleaning or maintenance or utility network, any 3rd party firewall they are infamous resource pigs and Mac AV is responsible for a good part of mac OS that any other type of software while offering no protection against anything like that.

  systems running 10.11 with 4 GB of RAM or less will spend a good amount of time cached and if this is the case look into upgrading your RAM, if it's an option.

  If this isn't the case reset the SMC (which you did) followed by a PRAM reset as outline in this paper.

  I tried to start and was taken to the "Windows Error Recovery" screen. I tried the options "Start Windows normally" and "(recommended) launch startup repair. None worked!

  In the "Advanced Boot Options", I tried in vain the following options:
  Repair your computer
  Safe mode
  Activate video low resolution
  Last known good Configuration (Advanced)
  Start Windows normally

  Foolishly, I did not run a backup of my files for 6 months & can't afford to lose some of them.

  Does anyone have any suggestions? Or should I send it to a Repair Service Toshiba (it is not available in the city where I live)? Thank you

  Two options:

  (* 1) * you would remove the laptop HARD drive and use an external USB 2.5 enclosure SATA to connect this HARD drive on another computer. In this case, you should be able to access the HARD disk and save the files.

  (* 2) * you would be to start Notepad using Live CD Linux Live CD or a Live CD of WindowsPE. Google this for more details.

I have checked and cannot see damage to the pins of connection on the Board because it the screen in the process of downloading an update of the software to try it.

  Is there a way to allow access to the computer and the iphone without a working screen drag? I managed to restart into recovery/download mode that brought the update to start the download, but he returned to request access after a certain time - download update is still in progress.

  Also, I did a LOT of reading about it, is apple offering free repairs for all that widely "known issue" with the iPhone 6? possible and other models?

  Given that unauthorized third-party cancels all service options & support running on Apple, your question goes beyond the limits of this forum.  I recommend that you are looking for an answer also.

• The sound from the speaker is saturated

  The sound coming out of my speaker is sometimes distorted, accompanied by the sound of crackling hard and it is barely understandable.

  What may have caused this to happen? It also happens when the headphones are connected, is not a problem with the speakers. Sometimes, the speaker will be fine, but after a few moments, deformation will return (ie. it comes and goes).
  My laptop is still under warranty. I tried to organize a warranty repair, but none of the problems in the menu drop-down matches my complaint.

  Can you please tell us how old is your laptop and since when you noticed this noise problem? Your laptop preinstalled with delivery image recovery or you have installed own OS?

  Can you please give us more information on this subject? Have you tested using different applications (watching DVDs, listening to CD, mp3, using Skype or another messenger)?

  In the end, you can also contact the Service partner in your country and explain what the problem is with your laptop.

  The best way to start is in safe mode and if it does not progress to a Windows repair disk.

  You haven't said which OS has your laptop or which model is it. Create a Windows for Windows 7 or Vista repair disc, depending on which is installed.

  Always start by trying to restore the operating system to perceive before even to consider so final option as a revaluation. The reasoning behind my statement is simple. An repair is non-destructive. An recovery is destructive and exterminates all what you had on your hard drive and start from scratch with no programs installed.

• Cannot access the BIOS on Aspire M

  Greetings, Acer community.

  I am a junior high school with a year + old Acer computer which broke down twice and is now out of warranty.  I bought this computer with my own money.

  My laptop Aspire M does not start because of the 'boot configuration file becoming invalid', that's at least what the blue screen States "recovery."  The offeres blue screen with "press Esc for UEFI firmware settings, but is not admissible.  I tried F2, F8, F10, Alt + F10, F12, bar space, Delete, and pause to try and activate the BIOS interface, just as unsuccessful.

  I followed the instructions to buy Acer recovery tools, but without being able to access the BIOS to set the boot order, I just sank another $25 in a laptop that does not work.

  The cost of the service exceeds the cost of the laptop, so I tend to keep trying to fix it myself.  If he can't ' be repaired, there is little chance I will buy a new Acer to replace as this has been a very frustrating experience.

  Update!

  Well, first, I removed the HARD drive to try to get the BIOS F2-interruption of the boot sequence.  No luck.  So, it was off looking for the battery CMOS, which I thought might help interruption control W8 (or something else) could have on my sequence start, and as such, did not get to the BIOS screens.

  AND while poking around on the forums, YouTube and the manual - I found on the ACER site, I came across the port of "battery reset" on the merits of the case, which could be used for all disconnect all power from the system.  Seemed to be a promising option.  So, before you tinker with the CMOS, I pressed the reset button of battery for 4 seconds, using a small paper clip and VOILA!, after a power cycle, the bios screens were once more accessible usign F2, etc.  (Obviously, the keyboard is working very well.)

  I returned to screens Alt + F10 to try to * repair * the system using the functions of recovery aboard, but NONE of these options might work, they complain of a locked hard drive no boot device, the missing files of corruption or start-up sector.  Partial, complete repair, troubleshooting, none of this would work.

  Thus, using the system discs that I had already bought, I searched recharge the system entirely.  After you change the boot sequence, placing the CD/DVD drive to the top of the list, I inserted the disc system, rebooted and was on my way.

  I worked my way through the recovery system, three discs and your language and wait now for the freshly loaded operatign system complete the installation of all hardware and software components.  I am sure that this will solve my problem.

  I just wish that I would have realized that this little stupid option disconnect battery existed a few weeks ago.  Persistence is paying off, I guess.

• Photosmart 6520: 6520 Photosmart printer stopped printing black after changing the print cartridge

  There was a similar position two years ago. After changing the cartiridge (564XL) black printing, the printer will not copy documents. He behaves as if I placed a blank sheet of paper on the glass. I can scan the document and print the .jpeg, but not the document. The print quality of everything else is mediocre - very light on blacks, even though the colors are fine. I ran through all the diagnostic tests and he told me that the printer is fine, although the black box on the diagnostic page is empty. The difference between my printer and the one in the previous post, it's mine is 18 months and longer warranty. It has been little used. In the previous post, none of the solutions have been proposed, but apparently HP has replaced the printer. Any suggestions, or is this device intended for scrap?
