My Wi - Fi stopped working after trying a LAN line. is any way to fix?

I have a HP Pavilion dv6265us laptop and I recently tried to use a LAN line with another computer. After this attempt, my Wi - Fi stopped working. He says that I'm connected to any wireless internet access, I chose, but it won't let me connect to any website or any other service online. Anyone know what's happened and how to fix it?

You have a few options in my opinion please try these steps can help you solve your problem.

(1) unplug the battery adaptor & then press on & press and hold the power button for laptop for 30 seconds then switch on and check if the wireless led lights.

(2) go to Device Manager then uninstall the drivers wireless network card and restart the device and check if the light is on.

(3) try to do a system restore to the date where unit was working fine.

(4) Please update the Bios driver & wireless from the HP website.

(5) click on start search type Recovery Manager, and then click on it once select Yes on user access control, and then select I need immediate help and then select driver and select request recovery driver wireless and install it and then restart the device.

(6) If you are comfortable with reinstalling the wireless card that will be on the rear panel of your device you can try this steps as well.

  • Themes suddenly stopped working after trying the new theme

    I installed a theme in TB and it looked nice, so I decided to try it in FF36.04. It worked, but when I tried to go back to my old theme (same author), it did not work and the area became top black with just the usual text. I tried to go back to my old theme (same author) that has worked well for years. When I went to modules. themes, it enumerates the different themes, but doesn't display photos. If you go to the specific page of the theme (by modules) it doesn't show the author's name and the theme as well as the button disable/remove, no picture or any other detail. It is the same for all themes.

    I tried adding a new topic randomly and it worked and displays the image on the themes tab, but others do not always work. They show different colors if I activate different themes, which I assume is the background. I tried all the usual things, which dates back to default (seems OK), tried to restart FF, laptop computer reboot, etc., but nothing don't is my old theme back I've had for years.

    Because a new theme worked, I could probably delete all my old themes and go and download them and install them again, but something went wrong and I would like to fix everything what it is, rather than leave perhaps a hidden problem.

    Any suggestions?

    It's the lightweightThemes.usedThemes pref that stores Persona data in JSON format, so it's probably OK because this implies a good amount of data, especially if you have a lot of lightweight themes installed.

    Firefox puts images of Persona as lightweighttheme-head and foot of page-lightweighttheme in the Firefox profile folder (default).
    The images will be resized and copied to the lwtheme folder and delete files in this folder to make Firefox to use a new character.
    The pref lightweightThemes.usedThemes must be true to make Firefox uses images of Persona.

    You can check the image files and you can possibly try to copy lightweighttheme-head and foot of page-lightweighttheme in the Thunderbird profile folder to the Firefox profile folder if they work in Thunderbird.
    You must remove the current files in the folder lwtheme to regenerate the files that will be used by Firefox.

    Same fixed.  At executed license repair tool, Adobe - Adobe licensing repair tool, and it fixed the problem.

    Firefox has stopped working after the upgrade to version 27. I reinstalled 26, it's been a while so I thought that the problem had been sorted out, so today tried to install the latest version. Same problem as 27, just does not work when you click it. I have Zonealarm later, and I have disabled all the internet security, control applications and anti virus. The same, followed instructions to remove firefox so reliable programs it tempt me the fact still. But there is no prompt . As a last resort, I uninstalled Zonealarm. Still does not work after a new installation.

    You should check if the same issue occurs with another disc maybe you could try to reinstall the OS by using the original CD of Microsoft Windows.

    If installation still decomposes at the same point and time then this could be related to a recovery disk scratched.
    On the other hand the laptop could shuts down due to hardware problem.
    As mentioned by Luke, the internal HARD disk bad might work too.

    Overheating could be another reason why the laptop is off.
    Maybe don t cooling modules work as it should and puts it in internal temperature high power off the laptop.

    But these are that some suggestions so it would be really interesting to know if you can reinstall the OS using another disc

    I have finally isolated the problem of my software lack of HP dv6 fingerprint reader. I think Norton Removal Tool, available online at www.symentec.com/nrt, was the reason. I am sure this conclusion because the exact same problem occurred after I installed Norton Internet Security 2012 on laptop HP same as my wife. I tried, in vain, to uninstall and reinstall the driver for the biometric fingerprint device provided by Validity Sensors, Inc.

    After spending a day and a half to try to "solve" the problem, I decided to restore my system and go back to the prior agreement of the point of the installation of Norton. Thank you HP to make this process quick and painless. Don't forget that if you installed anything after the restore point, it will have to be reinstalled.

    Fortunately, there's a less intrusive on CD of Norton removal tool. This utility uninstalls an older version of Norton you are requested to restart and then installs the latest NIS. It is a method of removal safer that wide brush offered by the Norton Online link, which wipes everything remotely suspect.

    After reinstalling Norton Internet Security 2012 from the CD, everything works as it should, including the fingerprint reader.

    I hope to help you with installation and uninstallation issues you are having with your Officejet L7550 on Windows 10. Before you get any software troubleshooting, try to make a copy of the front of the printer. If copies work fine, continue with the steps below to work on the issues of software!

    Step 1: perform a level 3 Uninstall to remove completely all the files to your system printer.

    1. Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
    2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
    3. Download the software and choose to save money, save it on the desktop: all-in-one printer, HP Officejet Pro L7550
    4. After downloading software and extracts, reopen the temp folder, use the instructions in step 1.
    5. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)

    More specific instruction, I can give to check settings in the BIOS of your system is to search for a list of devices that installed your laptop. There are only two options for each device, activate them and deactivate them.
    Look for something listed as network radio or wireless card and make sure that it is set to enable.
    The option that you network adapter found can also control the wireless adapter, but it can control only the plug adapter (Ethernet) network.

The keyboard work until windows starts and I activate it via the properties of the keyboard by opening the window and press OK immediately. I tried updating the driver but I only find that the keyboard already has the most recent drivers. I tried to restore the drivers and that does not work either. I also disabled start all programs and services to see if it was a problem caused by a program or service and still no luck. It's a very strange problem. I noticed that the keyboard IRQ ranges are both 64-64 and 60-60, which i thought was weird but that's maybe normal. Any advice will be appreciated.

    I have a T5010 e-machines running Windows 7 Pro, x 64 with 2 GB of RAM.  The audio has stopped working after a few updates.  Don't know which because he has many people who installed at the same time.
