My Win 7 ult sleep no more

For about a week now my Win 7 Ult won't go to sleep more. Every time I re - set my power options for monitor off in 20 minutes and hotels in 45 mins win 7 will not sleep. I tried to reset by default and still won't sleep. I don't know why this is happening. Have no answer?

I found the problem!! Now I know why my PC would not sleep. The motherboard had built up a static electric charge. I turned off the PC and pulled the power cord from the back of the power supply. Then, I held the power button on the front of the tower for 30 seconds. then I put the power cord to the power adapter and I restarted the PC. After all, it has been initialized to the top, I tried to put it in mode 'sleep' and it worked fine. The PC is now still asleep.

It was not long after I built the PC about three years he had built up a static charge, and when he slept I couldn't get. A friend has my how de-static the motherboard. I was sitting here thinking and I remember when it happened. So, I made a static withdrawal for the motherboard and the problem disappeared, the PC back now.

This was one of those strange problems that rarely happens.

Errors and warnings in the event logs are not usually a sign of a major problem.

Unfortunately, there are many technical support providers who refer clients to the event log in order to convince them to pay for questionable services.

Use of cleaners and Tune up utilities is not recommended. They can often cause problems.

Use the construct in Windows utilities

    http://www.Microsoft.com/athome/Setup/optimize.aspx

Ensure that all remote access program is deleted from your computer.

Use a search engine to find information on all the events that occur frequently, specifying the event id and source, for example search for "eventid 512 capi2. Try to avoid scam sites that are always asked by this kind of research. Stick to sites of Microsoft or somewhere like www.eventid.net which is a good source of free information.

I would like to point out something that you may not realize: Windows 8
has two interfaces; the modern/Metro Interface (which may be all the)
you have looked at) and the traditional desktop Interface. You can use
    one or both.
This traditional desktop Interface is almost identical to Windows 7
interface; the biggest difference is that there is no Orb start
Click to bring up the start menu. But note that you can get the beginning
Orb back using one of the many third-party programs, either for free or
    very inexpensive (Classic Shell to)
    http://classicshell.sourceforge.NET/ and debut8 to
    http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/; my personal preference is
Debut8, but they are both very good).  And goes from an interface to
the other is very easy; There are several ways, but simply by pressing
the Windows key is perhaps the easiest.
I use Windows 8, almost exclusively with the traditional desktop interface and start 8 installed. If you were to look at and use
my computer, you would have a hard time realizing that it is not
    Windows 7.
I also recommend to read "how to make Windows 8 or 8.1 watch and.

  • Win 7 (64) "sleep" and "hibernate": power supply for USB devices

Hello: Just ordered a new PC with Win 7 Ultimate (64) and I need advice on creating a power plan. I learned the hard way with Vista Ultimate (32) that "sleep" and "hibernate" cuts the power of USB, such as UPS devices with battery backup. It was a bad function, since my UPS runs the software that automatically stops the system if necessary. However, when the Vista computer went to 'sleep', the connection to the ASI has been cut, while the UPS is no longer communicates with the central unit. Therefore, if stopped and directed were needed when the system is idle / "asleep", UPS might not make it. The only solution I could find was to create a custom power plan that stops the CPU (and that only updates the display on screensaver for X minutes and then turns off the screen). Obviously a question of wear for the system, being never in mode 'sleep'. Windows 7 behaves similarly, depriving USB power in "sleep" or "hibernate"? Will I need to apply the same workaround? Please notify. Thank you! daledoc1

Right click on the USB device device manager concerned and select properties then power management and clear the option to Turn off energy-saving and activate the option to wake up from its sleep.

  • HPE140F pc - game crash/screen black screen mode 'sleep' and more problems

I recently bought an HP computer refurbished not even 2 weeks ago: HPE140F

While playing world of Warcraft, the screen goes black and the screen goes into sleep mode.  There is also a strong buzz.

In addition, the CPU fan makes a lot of noise.

I contacted HP customer service and they couldn't help me.  They said to talk to a technician level 2, I would have to PAY for the service.

This is completely ridiculous.  I want a solution or this pos is going back to the store.

I am a customer very very unhappy.  Poor service, defective PC, nothing but problems.

You can mark this resolved.  I was ready to pack the PC up, when I remembered I had bought a video card Geforce 9 Series several months ago and never installed in my old computer.  I took a chance and installed in the HP.  Voila!  The machine now runs like a dream.  No noise noisy fan and he's playing my favorite games in 3D spectacular I contacted HP support and they conceed that it was probably a defective video card (I checked on the WOW forums, several people have played the game fine with the GeForce GT 230 and had no problems).  I'll send it in an Exchange and will try on my old pc I always around.

I will be in part with positive feedback, update of the card in the HP was extremely easy, indeed with the opening of the case the entire seemed well organized and easily extensible.  I plan to get a power of 500W Rocketfish and Im happy that it will be an easy installation.

    Thank you all!

    Keep in-game!

  • How to keep the USB to USB UPS during sleep (Win 7 64)?

    Hello:

Still no response to painful problem with connection to UPS for sleep loss system.

New desktop (Dell Studio XPS 8100; Intel Core i-7 860 2.8 GHz processor; Win 7 Ult 64; 8 GB OF RAM; ATI Radeon HD 5770, etc.).
Brand new APC Back UPS XS1300LCD w/power falling Personal Edition v. 2.2. (Win7 compatible).

As with my old system to Vista Ult SP2 (32 bit), sleep cut power supply for USB devices, including the UPS.
Thus, if a failure occurs during sleep, the APC software could not perform his managed system shutdown.
Which defeats the purpose of having the inverter with its software to stop.

TS: the manufacturer of my computer (Dell) and APC were useless.

The only viable solution "circumvention" of Vista has been to implement a diet plan that NEVER put the HDD to sleep.  Not a very good solution, but at least it allowed UPS to stop software do its job failure.

Apparently, it is the only solution for Win 7, as well.
    Or is it?

If I disable the USB selective suspend in the settings for a plan power which puts the HDD to sleep, will be this or do not solve the problem and allow the computer to maintain the power (and the link with) the UPS during sleep?

Help, please. I'm not too computer savvy, but I hope it * is * a more satisfactory solution to this problem.

I have assigned to these forums several times in recent weeks, but never seem to get an answer.

    Thanks in advance,

    daledoc1 Desktop 1: Win 7 Ult (64); Office 2: Win Vista Ult SP2 (32); Laptop: Win 7 Pro (32);

    Hello

Follow these steps and check if that helps:
    1. go to start and type in Device Manager in the start search box and press on enter.
    2. in Device Manager, right click on the USB device and select Properties
    3. click on power management, then uncheck to Turn off energy-saving and activate the option to wake up from its sleep.

You can try to disable USB selective suspend and check if it solves the problem. Disabling this option has corrected the problems of connection with the devices USB mode 'sleep' for many users.

  • MS Optical Desktop 3.1 prevents the PC from sleep

I have Win 7 last month and for about 4 weeks now my MS Optical Desktop 3.1 keyboard and mouse prevent my PC from sleep. I had to disable the option "Allow this device to wake up the PC" in the Device Manager for my PC to sleep once more. I went to the power options and went right through the advanced and changed power options settings, including disabling the wake timers and the problem still persists. I checked all my software and nothing is set to keep awake PC. I bought a new optical receiver 3.1 and installed and still the same problem.  It seems that when I got the notice to win 10 has begun but that could be a coincidence. I've tried everything I can think of and still Microsoft Keyboard and mouse will prevent sleep. The only way for PC sleep is to disable "allow this device to wake the computer". It's very annoying. I was wondering if it was a windows update that is causing this or something else. If anyone knows why this is happening please let me know how to fix it.

  • Pavilion 14-V015TX: my HP Pavilion 14-VO15TX sleeves to the top when power off or sleep mode

First of all, I upgraded from Windows 8.1 for Windows 10 months ago. This problem came up to the top, it will not wake up when I put it on the mode 'sleep'. I read a post here about it and followed the instructions of update of "Intel(r) HD Graphics Family' who got helped, but only for a while. Now, I am once again these strange things when I put my laptop on a sleep mode:

    1. when I put it on a sleep for more than an hour, it will not wake up.

    2. She warms up when it is the mode "Eve" and even when I stopped it (and this problem makes me more worried)

Can someone help me as soon as possible please?

    Thank you very much!

What is the version 9.0 or version 9.5? Because the linked page points to the version 9.5 for Win8.1 for your machine: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-14-Notebook-PC-series/5355001/model/5389795#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1

  • L50-A-1CU satellite needs more to reach a usable with BIOS 1.70 State

    Hello.

I installed the new 1.90 bios, but the automatic procedure does not save the old bios or control procedure.

So now I have 1.90 and the laptop immediately after (and continuously) needs update 10 - 15 times the bios (1.70) precedent, to achieve a "usable" (all the desktop icons and the reactive system) State.
With 1.70, it was quite immediate (less than 15 seconds).

On the download page 1.70 bios is available (not more), and the Toshiba help line told me that they do not have 1.70, and I have to reinstall the pc completely from cdrom.
    ABSOLUTELY CRAZY...

Is there anyone who can give me a bios 1.70 (recorded with winflash, for example), to help me in upgrading my laptop?

    Thank you very much

    Hi marcob

I put t think the BIOS update has affected the performance of the system.
First, you must set the BIOS to default settings after the update.
Second, you should check if the SATA is set on the performance and the battery life not

PS: old BIOS versions are not available for download, and even if the old version of the BIOS can be downloaded, the procedure of updating win wouldn't work because more recent BIOS version is already available on the EMRPOM module

To downgrade the BIOS, traditional BIOS is necessary, and I guess that's available for only authorized engineers.
