  I have currently NAC installation in a lab, and as soon as I restart the Manager after you have configured the AP server stops responding to HTTPS and I got Service temporarily unavailable. After restarting the server I saw something console to check the HA setting but I not see this message again and I don't know how to check these parameter in CLI.

  This may mean that HA is not correctly configured (problem with certificates, heart rate, etc.).

  The best thing to do is to connect via SSH for both cams, go to /etc/ha.d/ and delete the files: 'perfigo.conf' and 'ha.cf.

  These are the files that contain the HA configuration, if, after deletion, restart the machine and they will come as stand-alone upward again.

• Integration of Cisco ACS and Cisco NAC Manager - downloadable ACLs

  I have Setup Cisco NAC in my environment. These are all works well. The users themselves will get authenticated via Cisco NAC Manager. The Cisco NAC Manager meets with Cisco ACS for the part of the user database. These are all works well. I would like to activate downloadable ACLs. I tried to use the CISCO-AV-PAIR method and creating a downloadable ACL entry in the shared components, but nothing works. It's either I'm doing wrong or this configuration of the mine does not support downloadable ACLs? Please advice kindly.

  It is not possible.

  You cannot push the ACL in the NAC manager.

  If you make the Radius of NAC authentication manager, you can do is create roles the NAC Manager, and on the roles you define traffic strategies.

  Using the Radius attributes you can then map users to roles.

• Lab Manager licensing during the merger of vSphere environments

  Is there a small vSphere environment that is available for Lab Manager and a great environment vSphere and both are now completely separated (different vcenter servers, groups separated from ESX, etc.), and they are merged into one, what happens to the Lab Manager licenses?  Should be updated to take account of the increase in the number of ESX host in the new environment?  Environments can be merged without buying additional licenses?  If so, would be half the environment allowed for lab manager and others are not allowed?  How would the lab manager-under license, and lab-manager-without sections allowed environmental stands / separated?

  "Prepared" you went in in the section resources, hosts tab and see that the host is ready (green check mark), this means that there has been a 'prepare' to the host.  Prepare installs the agent LM, then she will deduct your license (settings > license).

  so I read the entire document 'Oracle® Enterprise Manager Licensing Information 12 c Release 1 (12,1) part number E24474-06' (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/license.121/e24474.pdf), and yet I don't know if we can use Enterprise Manager Cloud control in our environment without purchasing additional licenses.
  
  In detail, we have several Oracle databases, some with Standard One, a standard, some with license of the company, some EE databases have also packs and additional options, others without options or packs under license. Cloud control would be a single instance without advanced options or packs installation.
  
  Among others, I read the following things in the documentation:
  
  -Enterprise Manager includes license restricted use of the Oracle database as the Oracle Management repository only.
  -For each target listed, you can enable or disable management packs associated with the target.
  and
  -L'Enterprise Manager Cloud control 12 c basic installation includes several free features with the purchase of any Oracle software license or a Support contract.
  
  Now my questions are:
  
  1. from what I understand, it is, when I own a license of Oracle software, I have also a license to install and use Oracle® Enterprise Manager Cloud Control and I can use this facility to administer all targets, as long as the target that I have managed has a proper license, regardless of who is the owner of the license of the target (we have not the license of some targets)?
  
  2. I have an older version documentation I read that I can use an Oracle as the Enterprise Manager repository database and RMAN catalog, but I can not find it in the current literature, is still valid that the license to repo EM and RMAN catalog is free?
  
  3. I intend to use the EM and to not buy a license, so where can I find some overall valid information without asking someone who is specialized in licenses for sale ? Why it is not covered in detail in the actual documentation?

  It's still in the http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/license.112/e10594/editions.htm#BABDJGGI (® Database Licensing information Oracle 11 g Release 2 (11.2)) under "Infrastructure Repository Databases.

  Because it is a LEGAL issue, not a review of the LITERATURE.

  (And, possibly, because legal Oracle wants to keep their options open.)  ;-))

• The HA NAC Manager stop responding

  Hi guys, I have 2 CAM working on failover. 3 times this shift had stopped responding sudenly. I have the device through the GUI SSH o managed by couldn t. Both devices were not answered. The only way to regain control was raise them. They have the version 4.5.

  Those who have an idea about this behavior.

  The fix is already released in 4.7 the solution is already there for you to download and upgrade so that you can download the latest version is 4.7.2.

  Read it release notes for 4.7.2 carefully! You must be on the console to do the upgrade to 4.7.2 for your NAC devices.

• File ISO Bootable Cisco first Manager licenses 10.5

  Guys,

  I tried found Installation ISO for premium Cisco License Manager, deployed in a brand new installation of 10.x responsible for Cisco's Communication. The virtual machine will be independent PLM, I read the installation guide, downloaded the EGG file to deploy on the vCenter, but I couldn't find where is the file ISO of downloadable Installation of PLM, maybe I'm not looking for the correct download page site.

  You can convert not bootable to bootable with some searching in google.

  The ISO bootable must be requested through the tool SET.

  You should be able to go on the Cisco license management portal and click on view existing licenses for licenses that are related to your CCE identifier:

  You can even use the wizard to transfer the license on the new server as a Rehost license.

• Allocation of vSphere with a host operations management licenses

  Hi all

  How in the world I assign VMware vSphere with standard 5.5 license management operations to a host? The implementation has been green field, so we bought the acceleration for vCenter server kit that comes with 6 licenses vSphere with the direction of the operation. I've got Ops Manager works well and himself is allowed and can see all hosts. We also bought 12 additional licenses for 18 in total, and I can see the other 12 and assign them to hosts, but can not see the original 6. I never could.

  Finally, I called support license and solved it. I had to downgrade 6 Operations Manager vCenter licenses in order to see them. My hosts are all on ESX 5.1. The downgrade is made of my.vmware.com--> license keys--> I want to: Downgrade from licenses. He worked as expected after that.

  If I download a trial version of VMware SRM and install on 2 VCs (in Production) by using the trial license so I can easily use the full license at a later date (1 week later, in this case)?

  EVAL licenses are hardcoded in the product for 60 days. No need to manage it at all.

  When you want to go to paid licenses, you must go on the Licensing Portal and extract a license file that includes the following for each site.

  • A SRM Server license

  • Like many licensing by CPU like CPU protection you need. This will be 0 for the half passive to an active/passive configuration)

  For each site, take the license file and load it on the license for VC server of the site and assign the licenses to the SRM server.

  Hi guys, I have a failover CAM´s installed. I had seen a high ram memory in the 2 devices use. The use is greater than 80%. Anyone know what is the cause of this memory usage?

  Also, I have a NAC integrated with these CAM Profiler.

  Gerard,

  Your system seems well. Linux uses free/used memory to cache data and so the reported free memory space may seem very low, but it is used by the kernel to use for caching. As and when necessary, the kernel frees the memory for the process to be used, so it's normal. If you want to watch which processes are using the most memory try this command:

  PS auwwwx | AWK ' {print$ 4 "\t" $11 ' "} | kind | uniq - c | AWK ' {print $2 ""$1""$3 "} ' | sort - nr

  The output will show you the process with the memory used. For example on a cam test here was the result of the above command:
