  It is not normally necessary to re - associate your watch when it is disconnected from your iPhone.

  If your watch become disconnected from your iPhone via Bluetooth, it will attempt to connect to a Wi - Fi network known as a relief.

  To check the status of the connection of your watch at any time, go to the eye of parameters:

  Assuming that the iMac, and the printer are on the same network

  Turn off the printer for a minute or two

  Then it starts - it can get a new IP address.

  Then try to add in the region of  - system preferences - printers - see if it works

  With regard to the securing of the WiFi - your child is correct - you should

  WPA stands for WiFi Protected Access - your router should have instructions on how to set up or you can call technical support for your router

  Or you can post the brand and model (nothing else) of your router and someone can walk you through it

• Safar on MacBook Pro system preferences are not open

  I have no idea why. Was working fine a few hours ago. Be offline, work on photos on! acBook Pro. Tap that, saved, went to check emails, everything OK. Went to check internet and homepage made was different called Web search. I usually www.abc.net.au homepage. Went into system preferences in safari and zilch, not a thing. Is gone in the MacBook Pro settings, preferences system, then Safari App, security, everything seemed OK. A first audit help seemed fine. Stop. Restarted. Still no way to open system prefs in Safari.

  I can't on other applications.

  Help? All wonderful thought, solutions, ideas please?

• Everyone there knows that more than Apple support? No service after 9.2.1 update. Argh! Help! Help! Help!

  I have a first generation iPad mini. It has built in WiFi and cell service with AT & T. I update to 9.2.1 after ping with update notifications to the new operating system. I have updated and now it says that I have no service. I did everything what was advised to remedy and I have no case. I reset the network settings. It would connect and disconnect within 30 seconds and remain unplugged. Airplane mode tried and no help. Shot data cell off & on and zilch. I broke finally completed and reset, delete content and settings. I backed up to iCloud before resetting. I hope that my content is in the cloud. When it's that can be. No worse no service. I finally threw in the towel and called the Apple support. Put on hold for 10 minutes and transferred to someone who was without assistance at all. She advised me to call my career that I immediately hooked and called AT & T. On hold again, but only for 2 minutes and a great guy, tried everything to solve the problem. He told me that my SIM card could not receive the signal from the cell. He said that my SIM card was bad and I needed a new one which may or may not solve the problem. He told me to go to the Apple store and have them look at my problem and, possibly, repair or change my SIM card. Why an update killed my sim card and how this happen? I spent my weekend driving me crazy trying to fix the destruction of this update! I have my iPad connected to the point where I have to work onMnday. I'm stuck on an ambulance for 12 hours. No Netflix, Hulu, or Facebook between calls running and save lives? It will be as * on Earth.   So what have you done that AT & T has proposed and go to the Apple store and have the SIM card replaced? It seems to me that if the tech AT & T has proposed this, obviously. Electronic devices (SIM cards) are not bad and this is not something that can be resolved by phone. A replacement is usually needed.

  OS X does NOT ALL files in the tree/usr/local.  Nothing.  Nada.  Zilch!

  Homebrew however stores ALL its files in the tree/usr/local.

  So, if you have files with a date of 2013, they were probably from Homebrew.  And as you know, the Homebrew doesn't part of Mac OS X.

  In general, it's a bad idea to install a-squared 3rd party packages.  They have caused more problems then they never solved, based on the many reports of panic the kernel, System slowness and reports missing disappeared in these forums.  Contributors to the forum a long time does not.

  I have nothing against the homebrew, but if you are going to use it to install the packages open-source, you should have an understanding of what it does and where it stores its files.

  Also note: most open source packages you download and compile it yourself, will also install in the tree/usr/local.

  MacPorts.com (another package manager) stores its stuff in/opt/local /...

  Fink (www. ) FinkProject.org) one of the first managers package for Mac OS X, it stores the stuff in the tree/sw /...

  Still, I'm guessing the files that concern you came a homebrew package that has been installed, or maybe when you installed homebrew himself.

  I don't know that it is an easy question for talent here. I'm not good with laptops, so if you could answer in simple terms that would be great.

  I have an old Tecra M5 I use only for I-tunes and occasional browsing.

  I used the laptop when the software anti-virus (avast) began flashing a lot of threats - questions. The lack of battery laptop that the software has been identify them and now I can not re - turn on the laptop. When I turn on the usual "BOLD" red "TOSHIBA" comes on the screen then the screen turns off completely. The fan is running and an array of lights on the fron but nothing happening at all - nothing - nada - zilch!
  Im sure this is something easy for you guys but I am not much less so that need help.

  I doubt it has something to do with a Virus or a virus itself it sounds more like a malfunction of equipment

  You should try to remove the battery and the AC adapter. Wait 1 or 2 hours, then reconnect the battery and the AC adapter. Now, try to start the laptop.

  Mylène for the long post - but think if give good info, I poss of correct answer:

  After the crash of QOSMIO G20... managed to reinstall of XP Recovery DVD-ROM. Immed after, looked at the config with Win Explorer and two hard drives all present and correct. even copied a picture of my images on the D: drive, just to make sure that all aok.

  Then downloaded SP3 and tried to install - it reported failure and then shut down the PC. After attempts to get again - until finally resorted to reuse the Recovery DVD-ROM.
  Come back XP again - but now, while the BIOS sees two hard drives (reports size, Fab details, etc.), as far as Windows is concerned, it does not exist.

  Tried to initialize in disk management - no sign there.
  He was then released, put it in a shopping cart, connected to the office and initialized and formatted - then returned to mobile... zilch!

  Your kind suggestions and recommendations could save just the remaining strands terrified of hair of a violent end...

  Normally, if the BIOS recognizes the HARD drive, but not Windows, this means that the HARD disk is not formatted, but it must be visible under the Windows disk management.
  You see it now?

  If not it is not easy to say what the reason are you should try load default settings in the BIOS and save it. Then start Windows and check if HDD is visible there too.

  In the worst case, it s that a malfunction of the HARD disk controller, but what you can test if swap you the two drives and put them in another location.

• Qosmio F20 - XP SERIOUS problem?

  Bought the qosmio (nine) - worked well for a few days, has done all the updates as needed including NORTON. Since then, I was only able to start in safe MODE - could not see where any problem can be...

  This afternoon - ready to "sit there"-NOW I CAN'T EVEN beyond the list that appears in safe mode.

  Have tried the mode safe mode with and without network (no difference) and I tried with the command prompt - zilch!

  If you attempt a normal boot, the XP screen appears "blue bar" Scrolls right and rolls and rolls - you get the picture.

  I've only had the phone a week and already I'm starting to think I should have stuck to my original makeup.

  Can anyone help?

• Satellite A10: Cannot boot from the recovery CD after the replacement of the motherboard

  Heres one in your brain is going...

  I recently started a format hard drive via the normal recovery CD, but it never finished as long as the power cut.

  Not to worry I thought, I kept all my data and a new motherboard was on order.

  The fitting of the new Council, I tried to boot from the recovery disc and all I get is 'non-system disk '.

  Then I replaced the HARD drive with a former to check the functionality of the Cd. The old disks (I tried two) both still booted from the cd and their HDs has worked fine once in windows.

  However...

  When I try to start any of these 'good' HDs from the cd nothing happens, nada zilch. In fact they will not start even to a 'Beginner PC' recovery disk either, so it's not the Toshy recovery disk.

  Another weird thing is when I go into the bios by pressing ESC the power upward and then F1 and try to change the boot sequence and press end to exit and save, nothing happens.

  If the CD is not defective because it is recognized in windows
  The recovery disks may not be at fault because the other disks also fail to start.

  This is not a drive problem hard as other HDs start normally (but not Cd)

  This could be a fault on the new motherboard, perhaps a problem with bios, or the sequence of events suggests something else?

  Any suggestions would be welcome

• The Time Machine system log messages disappeared!

  Time Machine has spent his life recently "Preparing backup" and done so for more than 36 hours. He runs a deep, no doubt, all of the disk scan. Well, he has run deep scans before and reaches normal FDT. This time not. There is only a 1 TB drive in the machine, and it has 335 GB free. Loads of files to images in an old iPhoto and now a new auto updated photo library, but I understand the images themselves are not duplicated

  I stopped the backup after 36 hours and restarted the machine.

  He loaded the backup process quite well. Out of curiosity I opened the Console and filtered backupd and seen progress. He mounted the disk and did all the things sounding sensitive TM did at the start of a race. So I went to make a cup of tea.

  When I look at the Console, now, there is no message under backupd. None. The message log seems to have been deleted. Zilch. Now, it is likely that I am crazy, something weird happens.

  Sys Prefs said that TM is still preparing a backup. Activity monitor shows a pair of spots, backupd and backupd-helper, none of them make much.

  Unless I'm blind s beats I don't see anything about this in the excellent Pondini troubleshooting guide. So, please, what should I do?

  Interesting. A new message from backupd happened not "scheduled departure backup TM" which is sensible and reasonable since, presumably, the current backup is running. But how do I know that it is running if there is no message in system log?

• Photon: Dropped calls and network connectivity problems

  I bought my Photon August 18 and he was not long for me first to the problems with network connectivity.

  The phone displays signal on the phone, but when you try to call, send text messages or surf the web. Zilch.

  A soft reset works every time. I've had some experience with the issue of the "appeal of ghosts", but had no network connectivity so often that he was too much a problem. Restores the soft 3-4 per day.

  I took the phone to the Sprint store and they told me that my phone verified and were not hardware problems that may be found. I said at the time on the update of the software of MR5 and was anxious to see how the phone after the update.

  I received the update on Wednesday and the phone worked fine. No appeal of ghost, no network connectivity not problems, only dropped the call.

  Now, Friday morning, I lost network connectivity despite seeing the strength of the signal and had to perform a soft reset to regain connectivity. My wife and I bought this phone at the same time. She had many calls interrupted before the update and we both experienced after that update eventhough signal showing on the phone is at least two if not more bars.

  Is this a known issue? Is it going to be/CAN this be corrected by a software update? Is this phone a lemon and he'll remember?

  I LOVE this phone. I don't want to get rid of it, but...

  Seriously. It's a phone! Making calls should be the FIRST thing that is done right.

  Yes, it turns out that be was a buggy phone. Two stores tested Sprint phone for reception of the signal and they said that it spent; but as said the technician in the second store, the tests they take place the phone in ideal conditions.

  The two stores I've visited, said they were ready to replace the phone, but my first visit came just before the MR5 update software while I was willing to wait to see if the update corrects the problem. It didn't, but the replacement of the second store phone works fine with upgrading to MR5 and really no problem.

  I'll go ahead and mark this question as a response, but if you experience the same problems of chance complete loss of all network connectivity (Sprint or otherwise), I recommend getting the phone replaced. It is a bad camera.

  Oh and the technician at the second store mentioned the network problems. It has been a problem for them, but the most telling proof of the issue of network is random dropped calls. So if from time to time, you lose a call under the conditions of good network signal, it's probably not your phone and Sprint. I have almost that many abandoned calls as of late, so it could have been the wrong phone I had that really amplified the problem... or... Sprint has got some of the bugs in our region.

  Thank you for looking in. I hope that your problems are as easy to solve as mine and I hope that you are still within your 30 days so that you get a new replacement.

• By clicking several times for switching Applications and other problems of Click

  I would like to know when it started, because then maybe I could narrow it down. I have actually some problems, but I strongly suspect that they are related. I do not think that this started immediately when I upgraded to El Capitan, but I can't say when it started.

  1. If I Mail to Safari and I click on Safari to bring it forward, nothing happens. If I click a second time, then Safari comes forward. The problem is not limited to these two requests. Maps, Finder, TextEdit and others do, but it doesn't happen in all cases. For example, if I click on a TextEdit window it before now, but if TextEdit is in front, the other application is not until the second click.

  2. If I double-click a file or application in the Finder, it tries to open the point three times. This usually results in two dialog boxes telling me that the application cannot be opened because the third opens.

  3. I have my user folder and disk in my dock to quickly navigate to a specific folder using the grid. However, when I click on an item in the grid, the icon blinks but nothing happens and the view disappears, won't let me choose something or drilling to the location I wanted.

  What I tried

  A different user account - another user account, all right. It tells me that the problem is at my user account level and not at the level of the system. It's good, almost.

  Connection with the elements of wide opening (SHIFT key is pressed) - This resulted in no change in the above problems.

  Watch the Console - I ran the Console to see if all the messages when problems occurred. Zip fastening. Zilch. Nada.

  What I think

  I am sure that this is a problem with an article by third party due to the fact that it happens to other users on the same computer, but since this is not an element of connection, so I'm stumped on how to refine the problem down to find the cause.

  Does anyone have any suggestions?

  Okay i ' l jump to... Maybe you're more think it is a little. Have you tried another mouse or trackpad, then a reboot before going too far into other possible problems?

• Need to find %SystemRoot%\WinSxS\folder_name to find missing the module system restore service

  My ability to do a system restore is zilch.

  It turns out that my laptop Win 8.1 is unable to run sys restore due to the service being missing module.

  And I have to work around that and implement a registry key to make a correction.

  I have no idea where the file % SystemRoot%\WinSxS\folder_name.

  All this to fix the error 126 in services.msc

  I had many times where a reinstall of my computer would do the trick - however, I don't want to lose everything.

  System Restore is a feature that I use, and it works at all.  Pretty disappointing - it's always something.

  Any comments would be appreciated.
