For some of my file Yes .nef after obtaining stripes rose through them. It's scaring me regarding if I'll have my images in a year or more.

    Probably not. The problem you are experiencing is almost certainly that the drive itself has failed. It could have also been caused by third party software that you use to support a formatted NTFS volume. Isolate the cause to one or the other is probably not an effort worth it, because the files themselves are probably already damaged and unusable. In this case the only alternative to certain to succeed is to restore from a backup.

    As you know the Mac FAT32 and ExFAT supports and can read, but not write - formatted NTFS volume. For this reason, if you ask the Windows compatibility, you must select ExFAT.

    You could try using the third-party data recovery software, even if success is not guaranteed. I can offer no specific product recommendations.

    It seems that your ID Adobe was initially registered in Pakistan due to which it is not allowing you to make purchases in the United States.

    You can create a new Adobe ID, register in the United States and then it should allow you to make a purchase.

    I have a weird problem with Firefox. Sometimes the images that I am posting on Web sites will be damaged. The image will look like it has been cut and it is sometimes completely black. This applies to the origins of the site, images on the Web sites of social media, profile and just pictures. Imagine a web page that uses two images and 1.jpg , 2.jpg. 1. jpg is an image of, let's say the logo of Firefox and 2.jpg is a smiling face. 1. jpg is corrupt, so it looks something like this: http://s17.postimg.org/wtm9ndlpb/firefox_logo.png 2.jpg isn't, it looks like a normal smiley face. The Firefox logo is used as a profile picture of someone, and the person has posted several comments. Profile photo, next to each comment, they have done will look like that.     I m facing a problem in my card series FPGA 7833R (with PXI controller 8108 RT, 6229 PXI, PXI-6514 in chassis PXI-1042), in the FPGA AO channels is damage frequently, here I m using FPGA to order Festo 2 taps using PID and one of 6514 card are physically connected to DI in FPGA to start/trigger control PID. I m using parallel loops in FPGA to control 2 valves of festo. Loop1 with AO0 will controll Festo valve 1 and 2 with AO2 loop control festo valve 2 and both channels are harmful, what could be the cause of damage. Kindly help me findout the problem.

    What free programs I would like to extract comments and key words and put them into computer-based labels and legends Picasa? Is this possible with MSVB 2008 or 2010 Express? I'm not a real programmer, but I can hack a bit (in the old sense of the 1980s the word hack). I tried searching internet but no combination of the words comment, tag, keyword, and legend get something usable. Too common words, everything matches. BTW, I use XP, cannot afford to Windows Vista SE (that's my name for 7)

    What I want to do is to add tags and comments to the photos that I am scanning. It is a long-term project to archive all the family of the peaks. Some dating back to 1900 photo of great great grandparents. The key here is long-term. I thought that the properties/summary/comments (and keywords) would be likely to be on board for many years (legacy stuff). Jac I can't find any program that uses or leans on them today! And I just saw a pic of the Win7 properties and guess what? No summary! Picassa is quite widely used but who knows. Nothing is stable for a long time. Can not even get to diskettes and CDs and cassettes now become more difficult to find. And DVDs are on the side too. How can I put the photos on the long term and accessible storage?

    My plan is to use Picassa and .jpg. I'll put a copy of Picassa on every DVD that I use (in data mode). I'll do a mode DVD video slide show as a backup. The disks are pretty cheap even for me. I will not use double layer, but too unreliable. And I intend to check them every few years for readability. I have a few CD that can be read even with 12 years older data recovery programs.

    So if anyone has any comments, suggestions or additions, let it go. I think that it is indeed an important subject, keeping old data accessible.

  • DriverStore\FileRepository files get damaged.

    I have a very irritating problem with my 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate installation. The problem arises when I need to install a new device/updated drivers etc. and I can't find the root cause.

    The problem is that the files that are copied to the \Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository during the installation of the driver are sometimes corrupt: for example, if you open an INF file, it is full of garbage. This can happen right away during the installation of the driver or at the next reboot. Of course, Windows complains so the next time he's trying to (re) install the drivers for this device.

    Usually, I can manually copy the files from the directory/correspondents of another installation of 64-bit and the problem recurs not until I use the installer of the device - if I use the Device Manager and point it in the right direction (so that the files are not reinstalled) then it's OK.

    I am really frustrated with this, I ran various controls and ultimate disc even re-installed as an upgraded on-site and I am puzzled. Virus/Malware scans reveal nothing. There is no evidence in the files of setup.api/dev.log either :(

    This could be the cause of this corruption? I see no evidence of any other files get corrupted in this way.

    Did you try a clean boot?  In this way, you can disable everything and try to install just the driver you need etc.

    You should never respond to such a request because it will infect you with malware.

    Don't update Firefox via help > on or by downloading Firefox from the official Mozilla servers.

    Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

    Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

    All of these programs have free versions.

    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

    Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.
