Navigation bar (or table w/links) moves vertically with the page

Hello

REWARD FOR THE CORRECT ANSWER THAT I CAN ACTUALLY PUT IN ŒUVRE! :-)

Because DW doesn't let me put more than one navigation bar 'official' on a page, I created bars of nav for subsections of my site by creating a table with single column and placing images in flight path for the buttons.

I have this navigation bar on the left side of my pages. Each page is a two column table - bar nav in the column on the left, content in the right column. So basically nested in the left column is my single column navigation bar.

When the content of the page in the right column is long, the navigation in the left column bar drops down to near the bottom of the page, but I want to keep it up. How can I do stay in this other place that insert a lot of carriage returns in the fixed left column? I prefer a good, dare I say "elegant" solution to keep in place.

Thank you! And the reward... a copy of my rock band of the new CD, which will be released in 3 weeks. This is some great stuff produced by a legend in the industry. :-)

Hello

The answer is in the code. Can you post a link?

As a proposal, the fix may be in the cell, in that the navigation should
vertical-align: top;

In Design view, click the cell that contains the navigation.
Select ittag in the tag at the bottom of the design window bar.
The entire column that contains the navigation should highlight.
In the Properties window, select 'Top' in the choice of menu drop-down "green".

In code view, find the cell that contains the navigation.
Change the apertureTO:

It really depends on how you built. This can also be caused by merged
rows in the table.

Take care
Tim

How can I get rid of these vertical bars of 2 inches of empty space at all TIMES?

I have a HP laptop with a processor AMD, Win 7 and Firefox 35.0.5 and he has never had this problem.

Firefox should remember your level of zoom on a site-by-site basis. It is not "global browser" as in IE.

Note: If you zap the history, make sure not to clear the Site preferences.

If you need to adjust each site by about the same amount, you can use an add-on to set a higher level of the base line of the zoom. For example: Default FullZoom Level.

Unfortunately, there is no unique zoom level that will work perfectly for all Web sites due to the preferences of individual positioning of their webmasters. But I hope you can find a good middle ground so you need not all zoom each time.

  • When the page opens, the scroll bar appears only if I move to bottom of page with the mouse

It started last week with Firefox 5 and continues with the upgrade to Firefox 6. Each new page that opens in Firefox does not display a scroll bar. By entering the lower right of the page with the mouse and move the mouse to the right, the scroll bar appears and is usable. This "correction" is required on each new page.

This condition looks similar to the condition met when Firefox 5 was introduced. The fix was to open appearances in tools then choose the default setting. This patch doesn't work anymore.

  • NO links or Associations with the 'components Business of Tables'

    Hello

I have a strange problem. I'm working on a Process of Fusion Web. In the proposed model , I try to create some business components of the Tables the wizard provided.

I chose one of my IDE connections, and I chose two of my paintings as that entity objects (* PATIENTS * and COUNTRY - more details about their below) and also like to display editable objects. To display read-only objects I select some other paintings, subsequently, I chose to create a default Application Moduleand I press Finish create a diagram of the company. Everything works perfectly except for the fact that the wizzard has created everything but the links and Associations between my paintings.

To be more precise, the COUNTRY is a simple table, only two columns - ID , NAMEand PATIENTS has some columns as ID, NAME, ADDRESS, DATE_OF_ADMISSION, COUNTRY_ID, where COUNTRY_ID is a foreign key to the table of COUNTRIES . The two columns, PATIENTS. COUNTRY_ID and COUNTRIES.ID are NUMBERs. I was expectig the wizard to create a link and an Association for this foreign key constraint, I have between the two tables.

However, following one of the tutorials I found, * 'Development RIA Web Applications with Oracle ADF' *, I noticed that when I was creating of Tables, business components based on the HR diagram, all the links and Associations have been created as they were expected. I also tried to create the same business components of the Tables in my own project, and all the links and Associations were in place. Somehow, it does work for my particular schema (the one that contains the PATIENTS and the COUNTRY).

Is there something that bad? I made sure that all FK constraints are enabled, alive and well. From my point of view, the tables are working and behavig as it should, but I don't understand why this feature of automatic creation of links and Associations working on the HR diagram, but not on mine.

    Help, please!

    Bogdan.

PS: I use Oracle JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.1.0, Oracle SQL Developer Version 1.5.5, and Oracle 10 g Express Edition installed on the local host.

    Hello

    What I did:

    (1) created a TEST schema in my local DB
    (2) create the tables in the schema of my TEST using your scripts (I ignored the triggers)
    (3) fired up JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0
    (4) created a new Web Application from merger
    (5) the proposed model, New... right click and selected the business components of the Tables
    (6) set a new TEST connection in the wizard
    (7) picked all 4 tables on the stage of the Wizard 1 of 6
    (8) selected all EOs 4 step 2 of the Wizard 6
    (9) has not created all your read-only on step 3 of the Wizard 6
    (10) selected to create an application module on the step of the wizard 4 of 6
    (11) did not specify a diagram on the step of the wizard 5 of 6
    (12) you click 'Finish' on the stage of the Wizard 6 of 6

I'm done with EOs (country, Diagnostics, sexes, Patients) 4.
    I found myself with 3 associations (PatientsCountriesFk1Assoc, PatientsDiagnosticsFk1Assoc, PatientsGendersFk1Assoc)
    I found myself with 3 links (PationsCountriesFkLink, PatientsDiagnosticsFk1Link, PatientsGendersFk1Link)
I ended up with 4 your (DiagnosticsView, GendersView, CountriesView, PatientsView)
I found myself at 01:00 (AppModule)

So, in summary, it works very well for me. You did something differently? Maybe you can start from my step 4 to see if it works?

  • Related to images of a table showing visted and play with the whole table

    Help please.

I've never had this happen in another version of dreamweaver.  Using dreamweaver CC now.

I have an image created in photoshop. cut into slices. load the HTML and images in dreamweaver.  Dreamweaver then creates a table.  If I download just as, the site looks good.  Once I choose a slice of the image, create a link to it and then to download the site, there is a purple border around the image so ruin my entire table.  The site shows the breaks between each slice of the image.

    Thank you

The only real advice I can give, which will help you in the long run, would be to take some time to learn at least the basics of html and css. How to Photoshop to do will almost always blow your site to pieces as soon as you start editing content around. To create professional sites with DW, you need to understand HTML and CSS (and to a lesser extent, javascript). However, without a solid understanding of HTML and CSS little issues like the problem of border IE can become huge problems.

There are tons of places online to get tutorials on that, personally, I like the following links for the basics...

    HTML: http://w3schools.com/html

    CSS: http://w3schools.com/css

Once you understand what is happening behind the scenes of DW, it is much easier to work with the program. Once you understand how to work with code, the program gives you, you can let Photoshop do the work, that it was designed for, image manipulation.

  • Progress bar when audio plays on a slide with the button

    Hello

    I use 6 Captivate.

I have a zipper opening for my demo that introduced the demo. This slide contains 1-3 minutes of audio. On this slide, I have a standard button named 'Start', that the learner must click Start the demo (which is on the next slide). I also have a PlayBar with rewind, Play/Pause, Back, Next buttons and Audio.

Once the project starts, the Play/Pause button on the playback bar turns into mode 'Play '. This, I believe, is an expected behavior because of the presence of the 'button '. However, it causes me problems because, if the learner clicks on the 'Play' button (instead of the start or next buttons) after the end of the audio to the slide of the opening, the progress on the playback bar bar moves for the duration of the audio, so that nothing changes on the screen.

Is it possible that I can:

    1. Move the progress bar with the button Play/Pause in "Pause" mode when opening, slide audio playback and switch to 'Play' mode once the audio ends? In this case,.

    a. If the learner pauses the audio by clicking Pause and then click on Play, it must continue with the audio.

    b. If the student click on the play button after the audio ends must take sound to the next slide.

    2. turn off the Play/Pause button so that the learner will not click on it?

I don't want to hide the PlayBar on this slide as I want to give the Rewind option to the learner so play the audio again if he / she wants.

A colleague found an easier solution than the one I was talking about earlier.

He just moved the point to pause the start until the end of the slide button. Now, the progress on the playback bar bar moves with audio and the Play/Pause button passes in "Play" mode when audio stops at the end of the slide. On clicking the play button, the project will move to the next slide.
