NB100-116 - SUPORTED BLUETOOTH?

I just bought a NB100-116, does any one know if Bluetooth is supported on this model?
Installing drivers of this feature doesn't seem to work.

THK

No, NB100-116 isn't compatible Bluetooth.
I guess that you will not find also all BT label at the bottom of the unit. Right?
This confirms my hypothesis

    Hello

As far as I know only certain NB100 units where equipped with a module BT.
You you connected the BT module internal an internal antenna?
Was an antenna (I know it was a Brown wire for BT) available?

As far as I know there are some BT the NB100 compatible modules:
    Example: BT-MAP-TAIYO-YUDEN part number: V000120750

However, as far as I know the BT card should be detected during installation of BT stack.
THEN download http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/ here BT stack and install it.
Check if the BT module would be recognized during installation.

    Hello

Are you sure that you have Bluetooth on your laptop?
If you have Bluetooth, you must enable connections wirelessly with the hardware switch of the laptop a FN + F8.

In addition, you should maybe Bluetooth software/driver from the Toshiba Bluetooth Portal:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/

I hope I could help you a little bit because my experience with Bluetooth is not the best.
But if you have any other questions please let us know. :)

  • Re: NB100-12 - How can I activate the Bluetooth?

    I just bought a NB100-12 has.

Installation and every few hours since it starts a process "Install Bluetooth driver" that opens a dialog box that says "Please plug in the bluetooth device and click on the OK button" if I click OK the message again in a minute. If I click Cancel, the Setup program ends abnormally and then restarts a few hours later.
I can't tell if the NB100-12 has built-in bluetooth (although the packaging says it does) and if so how to activate it. Is it a software error, or if the bluetooth device is defective. Is it possible to test the bluetooth function?

In the Panel the Bluetooth Local COM has no entry in there. This means - he has simply not installed?

    Hello

Make sure the WiFi switch on the laptop is put to it.
Make sure that it s activated with FN + F8.

If it doesn't work try using a newer version of the Bluetooth software you can find here:

    Hey Buddy,

Have you checked the Web from Toshiba website for a more recent version of Bluetooth? If this is to do this and to update or reinstall the Bluetooth software.

In addition, I also recommend updating your BIOS you can find on the site of Toshiba, too. Before this update, close all running programs and make sure that you are logged on as administrator.
After a successful BIOS update doesn't forget to load the BIOS default settings.

    Good luck! :)

  • NB100 with Vista Restart with a Wi - Fi connection on

Hello all, my girlfriend has recently received a Toshiba NB100, I got a copy of Windows Vista and installed on the netbook. I know, Vista is heavy and so forth, but I must say that it works perfectly and, once the BONE is adapted to not be greedy, to speed more than decent resources.

There is a problem though, when the netbook is connected via wi - fi to our router, sometimes it suddenly reboots. It shows no BSOD or freezing applications, it just reboot. It is not related only to activation or deactivation of a Wi - fi: we had a WiFi enabled, connected via Bluetooth/UMTS to the net, and it worked well without having to restart for a week. When a WiFi connection is turned on and connected to the router it sometimes restart. It is quite strange, does anyone have a suggestion?

    Thanks and greetings

    Hello

I don't know if this will help, but please enter the BIOS settings and check the entries in the advanced settings. On most laptops you'll find the Wake-up option on wireless LAN. Make sure that this option is disabled.

  • Impossible to activate WiFi on Toshiba NB100 - 11G

    Hello

I try to activate wi - fi on nb100-11 g. I activate WiFi fn - F1, and the indicator down is light with an orange color.
But it seems that wi - fi is not enabled, even if bluetooth is enabled.

So I try to turn on wi - fi through Control Panel, but it shows no connection made.
The only link that is there is the connection to the local network. Thus, wi - fi, is not activate.

    How can I activate it?

    Hello

The FN + F1 key combination allows both the WiFi and Bluetooth.
If BT has been activated then it would mean that you have chosen the BT instead of WLan connection and that's why the WiFi network is disabled.

Press the FN + F1 again and check if you could choose Wlan and could allow it.

  • NB100 - how to adjust the brightness of the screen?

    Hi all.

You just bought a NB100 - overall very very happy with it. Well built, good screen and very compact, etc.

You have some questions? The brightness of the screen is controlled by the Fn + F9/F10. I love that she's set on ' to Midway ' or less - in part to preserve the battery - but also because I find max brightness is actually TOO bright for me! But the reboot of the machine always seems to start up. Is there a way around this? There may be a firmware update (my machine seems to run version 1.90 which I believe is the most recent)?

I noticed other referring Fn + F8 discussions as a way to select Bluetooth/WiFi etc.? Mine seems to just control the setting of the fan and processor - fan speed "gray" setting gives clocked at 1.6 ghz and fan lights - while Fn + F8 activates / deactivates an icon fan 'white' - where the processor strangling up to 800/900 ish and the slows / stops (?) fan. [by the way I noticed some videos become "jerky" If you choose the lower setting]

I'm not 100% sure what Fn key + "pipe" (to the left of the formula 1)? The Fn + F1 turns on without wireless/wifi I know - but the key of "pipe" seems to be a symbol of Wlan (or is it the key to use for Bluetooth or GPS or other)? Sorry to sound so ignorant - but the user guide does not in this detail. I'm pretty sure that the machine, I have bought - that was one handed to new/refurbished Toshiba NB100 - model PLL10E - did not all BT/GPS etc - just the basic wifi which F1 comes on and goes off.

Last comment - and others have said - the main peaks are very difficult to see in the dark! The 'gray' color was definitely a design error! But I can live with that - either a usb light? or a few letters of stickon (white)?

    Greetings to all.

Hi, I think the best way to adjust the brightness is in the options of the properties of the energy available in the system tray icon. I don't know about the activation of bt and wlan, it seems that bt and WiFi devices are on the same circuit power, so not adjustable. Nb100 is a good inexspansive machine :)

  • NB100 - how to activate WiFi without Blutooth?

    Hi, I have XP NB100-12Z.

My problem: how to activate WiFI withouth activation Bluetooth! With the Fn + F1 combination devices are on and turned, as the orange led is on but the manual say Wlan (unique feature) is on the combination Fn + \. With this combination, no other led appears. So is there a way to make independent WiFI and Bt?

    Thank you for your attention.

    Hello

I m don't know how son NB100, but other laptops you could choose between WLan and BT or BT WLan together.
Pressing the FN + F1 would allow BT and WLan functionality.

But what happens if you press the FN + F1 again?
Would you be able to move to a single option (WLan or BT)?

If this is not possible and that the FN + F1 key combination would enable and disable WiFi and BT together so I doubt you could use WLan or BT separately.

I tried several times to install, but after installation, PC (windows 8.1) does not recognize my card?

    message: plug the adapter

The bluetooth adapter is a TRUST 4.0 with productnumber 18187 bluetooth adapter.

    plugged in USB 3.0.

Trust did not provide a driver for Windows 8.1, so the issue is not with your PC or operating system. Tyr plug it into a usb 2.0 port. USB 3.0 ports are picky about the devices.

The problem is that the bluetooth dongle has no support for Windows 8.1.  Trusted contact .

Sorry to bear bad news. I go back the dongle and find one that suports Windows 8.1.
